I was never super fond of smash wii u compared to other smash games. Smash 3ds was just much better imo. Smash run was a fun mode that was actually replayable. Shame that game seems to have been largely forgotten.

I like to play Smash 3DS just for Smash Run and Rainbow Road alone.

So apparently the character discords are.. ...fun. Can't link Tweets 'cuz cussing, but the Link Discord put one guy in a room where they interviewed him to see if he was "suitable". He just said "LET ME INNNN" until they gave up. Shulk Discord makes you write a full application for similar reasons, and banned not only leaked footage but also spoilers for any of the three Xenoblade games. Power gives some people deluded notions I suppose. The guy was also complaining that many of the discord servers had names other than the characters names, because they included references he didn't understand, like Colony 9 Recruitment for the Shulk discord Clock Town for Young Link's and Kids from Eagleland for Ness, but I think that's kinda cool.

Meanwhile I'm finding the Falco Discord pretty chill, and I've heard the Ganon and Ike ones are pretty cool too. So how have your experiences, good or bad, with the Discords been?

I'm still disappointed that all of the limited time varieties almost always look better drawn than the normal character art.

So none of the discords are worth joining because they are run by egotistical nutters. Good to know lol

Sephiroth is well heard, but Geno is largely agreed to be a red herring. We're seeming to forget that sources other than Panda's exist, and those sources say it's definitely not Geno. Panda's source that heard Geno through water cooler talk is also outdated information (over a month old at this point and nothing else has been heard about him), and supposedly other developments for other SE reps have happened since then.

The fact that all of the information is being released in the Geno thread doesn't help either, as there's inherent bias towards Geno there and people are going to twist Panda's words to make Geno seem likely.

As far as I know, SE has never licensed out DQ characters, but the same could be said for Cloud prior to Sm4sh so that point is moot.

The people actually discussing it seem to very much disagree.

Other sources than PP exists, but Verge/Hitagi/Xeno's rep is falling apart at the seams DLC-wise unfortunately. I could be entirely wrong but from what I've read it seems that way.

I don't get how and why Geno would be the red herring of all the characters on that list. In fact, aren't they /all/ red herrings except one? Why are we so sure Geno specifically is a red herring? And can anyone explain it as "just trust me don't take him seriously" or is this just how it's gonna be for a few more months?

This all sounds like those crazy VR chats where role-players and deviantart rejects band together to take everything super seriously. I don't see a reason to join any of these. Just make one server with different channels and categories. It's not rocket science. God, people and their complications.
