Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Ganon would be sick. Just give him LtTP and LBW design, make him as big as Bowser and have him use magic and swing his trident around. You could even keep OoT Ganon as a boss.

Poor other series.
True, Smash selection methods are almost baseless but still.. boy some do think it's a war of series.
Soo none of you want that woman who can't cook in BotW? :p

*raises hand* I would add Gerudos, but we technically have Ganondorf.
Still, even if Urbosa is my favorite champion, i would still be super happy if we get any of the other champions.
and while Ravioli isn't my favorite character... i think we may be sleeping on Kass chances. (give him the 4 champions skills as special moves, similar how zelda got the spells that link used on OoT, and we are golden.)

The story mode starts out with Kirby in a horse drawn cart being asked if he tried to cross the border.
Seems eerie.


EDIT:
Also, Sandbag is made out of nylon because his original material was too expensive.

It's unrelated to your post but this sentence made me remember a thing: Majora's Mask has always been my favorite Zelda game, though if I remember well, there was a time, I can't remember when, more than a decade ago, when Majora's Mask was very underrated and often considered one of the worst Zelda games ever, kinda similar to what most people think of Mario Sunshine.
I don't know what happend, but all of a sudden, people sarted to see the appeal of the game and it became a classic.
I'm so glad that this happend, finally Majora's Mask is getting the love it deserves; I wish Mario Sunshine will get the same treatment one day, since it's also one of my favorite games and I think it's very underrated as well (and in both games Koizumi played a big role, I think I'm a fan of Koizumi's creations and I hope Nintendo will give him more creative freedom in the future, so that he can make more Majora and Sunshines).

I'd love to see Mipha get in. No only does she have a spear, but there isn't anyone in Smash who specializes specifically in healing. Though I wouldn't complain if Sidon got in instead.

Any of the Champions would be great though. Even if you don't think they're likely, you have to admit that they have some pretty great moveset potential.

I remember when Tropical Freeze was disliked on the Wii U era for not being a Metroid game for Wii U by Retro.

I don’t know what to answer, tbh.

It mostly relies on the fact that Todd lies sometimes and is usually trying to convince the players to buy every Skyrim port announced.

Bit of both. Right now it's leaning towards bad because hating Bethesda is the cool thing to do because Fallout 76 isn't very good.

I am still looking forward to Doom Eternal and the new Wolfenstein, tbh.

Nintendo made a lot of mistakes in the past too (Just look at Amiibo Festival and 1, 2, Switch).

I personally found Wii Sports a better launch title for that style.

And the flying minigame from Resort is dope.

I understand where you’re coming from. I just picked characters i’ve bean hearing about sense Smash4 rather than characters that only came into existence a year ago. Who knows. The next Zelda could include all new Gorons and Ritos and Gerudos and Zoras. And then you’ll all want them. Let them sink in a bit before you decide if you want them or not.

But unlike Robin, who got a "personality", the player doesn't have at all.
They can generally be whatever the players want.
A Mage, sword dude, wield a lance, an Axe, A boomerangs.

It would make sense to have each of them as Alts if the gameplay is a big mix of all the creativity you can do with those characters, since it would never be out of characters.

Stuff like Amiibo Festival, Skyward Sword and Star Fox Zero are more embarrassing than Fallout 76 honestly. 76 will be fixed, but the other stuff? That's gonna be trash forever

If people want to support Ganon alongside with Ganondorf, they are free to do so, after all, Sakurai doesn't care as he has clearly shown time and again.
Heck he made Chrom both playable and a Final Smash just so that his fans could be happy that he's finally playable.

My point is that it's silly to act as if Ganon and Ganondorf are different entities to say "Ganondorf was a one-off" and that 'Ganon' is more important when they're the same character.

I would actually like to play as the Baby Metroid in any Smash Bros game.
The Final Smash could be the Super Metroid.
