Hosted a few Ubisoft E3 conferences.

Is this good or bad?

It's unrelated to your post but this sentence made me remember a thing: Majora's Mask has always been my favorite Zelda game, though if I remember well, there was a time, I can't remember when, more than a decade ago, when Majora's Mask was very underrated and often considered one of the worst Zelda games ever, kinda similar to what most people think of Mario Sunshine.
I don't know what happend, but all of a sudden, people sarted to see the appeal of the game and it became a classic.
I'm so glad that this happend, finally Majora's Mask is getting the love it deserves; I wish Mario Sunshine will get the same treatment one day, since it's also one of my favorite games and I think it's very underrated as well (and in both games Koizumi played a big role, I think I'm a fan of Koizumi's creations and I hope Nintendo will give him more creative freedom in the future, so that he can make more Majora and Sunshines).

Majora's Mask is my fav Zelda game to and can confirm it changed from the black sheep to the fanfavourite really

My point is that it's silly to act as if Ganon and Ganondorf are different entities to say "Ganondorf was a one-off" and that 'Ganon' is more important when they're the same character.

1) I don't care
2) You can say that with a straight face when you have a White Mage avatar?
3) It would be just a Zora/Goron, it would be A SPECIFIC Zora/Goron. Ruto is the onvious pick for Zoras while Gorons have Darunia, Daruk and Link to choose from.

I picked that because I think she looks pretty and is a way I would like to look irl. Not because I want her in Smash. And I feel that if we had gotten some sort of Masked Link system with transformations you wouldn’t be asking for them now.

I guess if we’re going by my equaling Mario argument then we could squeeze in a few more sense Yoshi and DK characters are TECHNICALLY Mario characters

Sidebar. But how come Link is never a different Zelda race? Clearly it can be different because he was originally a Kokiri who then became the Koroks. And then when he wasn’t a Kokiri anymore he was a “Hylian”. What if the next Hero was just born a Rito? Or a Goron?

Why didn’t they release DLC for BotW where you got masks that turn you INTO the champions!

I will compare the game companies that have done conferences at E3 with DC characters based on my experience watching them:

-Nintendo: Superman
-Sony: Batman
-Microsoft: Martian Manhunter
-Square Enix: Gentleman Ghost
-EA: Condiment King
-Ubisoft: Plastic Man

I am still looking forward to Doom Eternal and the new Wolfenstein, tbh.

Nintendo made a lot of mistakes in the past too (Just look at Amiibo Festival and 1, 2, Switch).

Here's the thing, though. DOOM Eternal and whatever Wolfenstein: Youngblood is not by Bethesda, they're by id Software, so you're 99% bound to not get a game designed around microtransactions and terrible optimization. Thank god they're somehow safe from Bethesda's grasp.

Fallout 76, however, was made entirely by Bethesda Softworks, runs like ****, has graphics so bad for the current year, you can run this **** probably on the Switch, and is just another scheme in trying to take whatever franchise and turn it into a cash cow a la Diablo, Command & Conquer, the list goes on.

Star Fox Zero, Amiibo Festival and other stuff during the Wii U Era I can at least somewhat respect, but to a very minor degree. However, they're absolutely no way on the level of how the current climate of the gaming industry is now.

Wii Fit Trainer

WFT isn't a healer per se. She has two specials that can heal, but neither have healing as the main focus. Sun Salutation is an attack, and Deep Breathing is meant to boost launching power temporarily.

Mipha's healing abilities can't be used as an attack, so unless they do something similar to Deep Breathing, she'd be our first character who's main shtick revolves around healing.

Oooo. They shouldn’t just do THAT. They should just straight up do Xeno Warriors. Xenosaga, Xenogears and Xenoblade! All together in a massive Square, Namco, Nintendo, Koi Tecmo collaboration

Link was never a kokiri, he was an orphan hylian that was left on the forest. after beating the first dungeon of the game this is revealed to him. This is important because this is why he never got the obligatory fairy companion until he needed to do a quest to save Hyrule, and they always said that he was "Different" to other kokirirs...

This further develops when he is adult link and goes back to the kokiri forest, where everyone is still a child.

I mean they haven't really shifted tone from before F76 either.
It's not that it's "cool to hate Bethesda" right now, it's just that "Todd Howard is easy to meme because he does it himself" lmao

There are some things that definitely came out of the woodworks cause of the F76 thing though, like the bag fiasco and how they're not planning on doing anything about it, and the 500 atoms to shut up thing, but hey

I’m sorry I made that post then. The only reason I mentioned him is because he’s the only one I could remember a concrete instance of it happening.

But to the point. That story beat has never been mentioned ONCE in any review of OoT I’ve watched. But they all mentioned that he was raised in the Kokiri Forrest. So as someone who’s never actually PLAYED it (and who probably never will), it’s not unreasonable for me to make that assumption. What you think is common knowledge sometimes isn’t because not everyone thinks OoT is the Holy Grail of Video Games!

This isn't something to get super defensive of, though the misunderstanding is reasonable considering your lack of experience.

But yeah nobody's trying to sass you or anything so no need to put up your walls there friend. Kokiris can't turn into adults. That's about it, no worries

is ok... but we aren't talking about a plot twist here... we are talking about beating the tutorial of teh game. if reviewrs are giving that impresion, then.. its kinda of a problem... except not really because doesn't matter much.

Many existing jingles has been shorten while others got newer jingles as well.

I never assumed it was common knowledge. I was just correcting a mistake, nothing more.

It's also not that farfetched for the majority of people on this thread to have played OoT considering this whole forum is about Nintendo and Zelda is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises.

It's also not that farfetched for the majority of people on this thread to have played OoT considering this whole forum is about Nintendo and Zelda being of the Nintendo's biggest franchises.

The only Zelda games that i have played are BOTW and Link To The Past (not counting Hyrule Warriors), because i used to play stuff like Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Animal Crossing and a bit of Kirby.

Todd Howard jokes are funny because he's a weird little man and encourages this perception of him. The FO76 stuff was bad but I don't have enough of a connection to anything Bethesda does to feel strong emotion out of it. Todd is just...a character.

Okay, hypothetical time. If the fighters pack were five characters from a single series, what series' would you be fine with that happening to, and who would your choices be?

I'd be fine with a Fire Emblem pack as discussed earlier in the thread but one that comes to mind is a Street Fighter pack. Chun-Li, Dan, M. Bison, Vega, and Sakura would be worth it for me. Full bias.

The Splatoon one is just. . . extremely unimpressive. They really should've just gone with the Octo Valley stage clear theme instead.
Also not really feeling the Zelda, Earthbound and Pokémon themes.
