I feel like whenever someone says 'this character hasn't been seen as a Spirit yet', they'll pop up five minutes later. It's almost as much of a curse as saying 'yeah, this character's a lock for DLC'. Gotta keep shtum.

Yeah, although so far there has been no Capcom ones outside of Mega Man and Street Fighter. Not sure about the other companies, though. By now they would have been seen, surely.

If Sylux were to get in, I'm worried that people would complain since Metroid already got 2 new reps in this game. I don't want Metroid to become the new scapegoat for overrepresentation like Fire Emblem.

Let 'em hate. ***** we had 4 games with just Samus and Samus. Now we finally got Metroid, His girlfriend, Dark Metroid and and my homeboy Rodney.

Tbh don't understand the hate for so many FE reps, yeah, it's quite a lot, more than we should have, in my opinion, but I don't understand why it's such a big deal.

Kind of hard to get upset when we've got so many characters. So while I don't particularly care for FE, I don't agree with all of the negativity. But I do understand it.

#1. 4 of the 7 has a basis on Marth's moveset, making them feel samey. If you think Smash is the only series with these complaints you've never played Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. As MANY people complain about the abundance of Shotos and Ninjas, I remember the salt when SSF4 added Evil Ryu and Oni to the Arcade Edition, people also hated Decapre, since she's based on Cammy, despite being rather different in her own way. FE characters are merely the Smash equivalent. It's not something special whatsoever.

#2. All of them have swords, even the unique ones. Which makes people judge them at face value and expects the character to be like point #1. Now there's even differences between Marth and Roy. But it's not as drastic as Marth is from Ike, Robin or Corrin.

#3. If it isn't Mario or Pokemon, most people get pissy if a series has more than 4 characters.

#4. It has an Anime Aesthetic, and as we all know, any anime/manga made after 2001 is evil.

The problem with getting another FE rep in DLC is that it almost points toward 3 Houses, which comes off as a blatant forced advertisement. When Inklings and Isabelle were announced, they already existed prior to Ultimate and had fanbases that grew organically around him. You can advertise a character to people if they've familiarized with them, but you can't advertise a character that doesn't technically exist yet in a way that we can invest ourselves with them and expect people to like that character.

Best analogy I can use for this scenario is that it's better to know who you want to marry in life instead of being forced into one ala arranged marriage ...And in case the message wasn't clear: No, the Aesop isn't to marry the characters, lmao.

As for Crono, I didn't know it was fake. These fake Spirit images are really easy to make because Spirits just use artwork from their games, and it's starting piss me off how many we're getting just for them to turn out to be fake.

Personally I'd love to see Crash in Smash. The first Crash Bandicoot game was one of the first games I ever played, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me lol.

In Smash, I think he'd have a really cool moveset based around his crazed and chaotic nature, basically fighting like a Looney Tunes character. Given his over-the-top cartoony animations in his home series, I figure that'd be a good route to take him.

To each their own though!

I'd feel the same for a Tekken character. Since T3 was the first game I remember playing as a kid. Everything about that game was cool. The music, the stages, the characters, the movesets, the intros, and THE EMBU. It was the sickest **** ever.

Aside from another Mega Man character, I think a Tekken character would be my top choice for Smash, since practically every Nintendo character I'd want is in the game as a playable character.

I hate the idea of Steve because the character's appearance and animations are boring. Steve doesn't even have a pained or jumping animation in his own series, his only animations are walking and hitting..thats all.

Sakurai tries to stay true to source material so he'd still be boring..

Pretty sure we've had Monster Hunter spirits show up.

Not confirmed but if that works. I guess I'll have to tap in Isabelle's AC amiibo to try to get here that way.

Boy I suuuuure hope you can unlock Third parties by winning a single match on their stage or something. Because if Amiibos don't work than that'd be pretty easy way to get Mega Man, Ryu and Simon.

I'm pretty sure all the stages are unlocked, unlike the characters.
