I dont know. From what I have seen. The critiques are about how much they prefer to stay average and safe. They arent a company that takes any risks and it sells amazingly well. Their movies are also rather cheap to make comparatively. People are worried that it could end up changing the industry if Illumination keeps being amazingly successful despite producing average movies and other studios start doing the same.


Its not that they cant. Its just that the general consesnsus is that their movies arent great, amazing, outstanding. Their movies arent all also never bad or terrible. They stay in that middle ground with every single movie.

Oh yes, especially given how stylish the initial concept art was. Maybe we'll get that if the Remastered Trilogy is successful enough to lead to more games.

Let's say Sakurai blatantly tells us we're getting a Gen VII rep as the final DLC character. It's late 2019, and the new Pokemon game was released right before the holiday season. All of the Pokemon from the game are known to us during the end of speculation. Would you be more or less likely to support the grass starter if a majority Smash fans got behind it? For the sake of the argument, let's assume the grass starter looks just as unique and interesting as Decidueye.

Maybe, more on the yes side tough.
It would depend more on his looks and how unique they are in design compared to other pokemon already in the cast.

Similarities to Saiyaman Aside, that's a cool outfit at least.

I mean I'd be fine with a Generation VIII Pokémon as DLC just because I love Pokémon, honestly.

If said Pokemon has a cool gimmick, then I'm all for it. Grass, Ice or Rock should offer some interesting tools at least.

As someone who has never played the series and has mostly Heard stuff from other people. I imagine that putting blocks and stacking them will be part of his moveset. The pickaxe hopefully will be part of its moveset since it is really iconic to him. Besides that, the only thing I can think of is that diamon armor thing as a costume.

A bit unrelated but I have this little sliver of hope in my head that the next pokemon game just becomes an action-rpg or a Xenoblade-like game.
My interest in turn combat system died and I want to see what direction Pokemon would go if forced completely outside their comfort zone.

I don't think DLC fighters are getting on the mural otherwise we would have seen Piranha Plant on it after it was revealed.

Gohan and Trunks actually makes Gohanks, and Heroes has done that.
