I found XC2 fun to play, and while yes it's "anime", the characters were compelling enough for you to stay and by the end you love it.

Although, Torna the Golden Country fixes a lot of the complaints for XC2 when it comes to gameplay, "anime", etc. I'd reccomend it for anyone who wants Xenoblade on the Switch but don't want to deal with fanservice, gacha, Rex's voice acting, etc. since it can be played as a standalone title.

Be me, and just don't mind the goddamn fanservice that XC2 have. it still have good story even if it have no fanservice in the story. THat's how I managed to finish the XC2.

once i got to the nopon is where i decided to drop the series

also the gameplay, characters, plot, technical performance, rex, and really everything but the music, but in this case how anime it is. i also liked the star ocean game i played.

As someone who loves both games, persona 5 is just as guilty if not more so of both.

Also the interactions between Addam and Mythra are less uncomfortable and more real and organic than Rex and Pythra's, plus the rework of the combat feels both more like original Xenoblade while also being it's own thing with the quick switching in battle. Much, much less fanservice, no blade system or merc missions, the item collect points are labelled so you know what you're collecting, Lora, and really great music really put Golden Country at a high standard. If it was longer it would be complete but like still worth getting standalone.

I swear on my life there is no non smash topic I have seen rehashed in literally thousands of pages of this chat than whether or not XC2 is a good game. I have no explanation whatsoever for why this is.

That being said uhhhh yeah I don't know the game doesn't really look up my alley. The character designs are kinda... eughh... imo

Has any gameplay for Peach surfaced as of yet? I tried looking for some a little earlier, but I couldn't find any. I know Treehouse showed off Daisy for a little bit, and while that's good to see, I want to see more of how Peach's animations might have changed since Smash 4. I am happy that Peach in general has been nicely buffed, being faster, jumping higher, and having less endlag on a good number of attacks, plus her Turnip having the same bouncy property as Yoshi's Egg is really nice.

I'm kinda considering her new Gold Alt color for whenever I play as her, as it looks quite nice. Not sure if I'll make it my go-to color, as the black-and-yellow one she has is quite sleek, but it does make a great first impression.

I mean, dear lord, no offense Xenoblade 2 fans but, come on. There's no denying that lip-sync needs a lot of work. But I suppose that might be costly for them.

If it makes you feel better, know that there are just as many if not more people outside of this thread that love the game. Heck, I was obsessed with it for several months.

It definitely helped in bringing new people to the series.

Just as an example, the subreddit was at 11k subscribers for the longest time before XC2 came out and now it's nearly at 37k
