In light of Vergeben's statement about DLC and Minecraft, I've decided to just say **** it and go all in. I've got nothing to lose as I've already got Incineroar, so if he ends up wrong, oh well. That said...

All of my characters except for one (Bandanna Dee who is hanging on by a string) got deconfirmed so I'm ready to hop onto your boat.

I just saw the new Vergeben leak. I really hope it's wrong. Seriously. A third party mobile game character. Frickin Steve. And if the square character is dragon quest it's probably just slime since apparently we're getting random mooks in smash now. I never thought it was possible, but I may end up passing on the dlc this time if he's right. Garbage character after garbage character for me.

Would you rather not know and then get even more disappointed when they are eventually revealed? At least with leakers (the credible ones at least), you have a chance to prepare yourself for their inclusion. If they are in, the blow won't be as bad. If they aren't, even better for you.

Well! I can safely say that Sakurai doesn't care about us at all judging by all the horrible decisions he's made!

No game modes In Ultimate except for the ****ty Smash Tour mini game (Known as World Of Light) and the ****ty Master Orders rip-off (Spirirts Mode)!

Making our favorite characters we wanted in the roster ****ing assist trophies!

Throwing in unwanted Veterans who still have anything unique about them (such as Young Link and Pichu)

Removing Trophies completely for ******** reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having no good unlockable content that worth playing through those two ****ty modes for (NOT EVEN NEW STAGES OR ALTERNATE COSTUMES)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Throwing In A Worthless Plant with teeth on it that's a ****ty Wario echo that you have to pay 10/20 dollars for!

Judging by what Vergeben has said! Us getting some ****ty DLC character choices such an anime swordswomen who's game didn't even get a release on a Nintendo console, A ****ty, blocky Villager echo with nothing interesting about him (Steve From Minecraft), A Square Character that isn't Geno, Sora, Crono, A Dragon Quest Character, or anyone from a good game series Square produced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Online game play being just ****ty and awful as it was in Brawl!

One of the coolest easter eggs known as Codecs being removed for no reason whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would stay away from the game if were you all and see about purchasing something better! As this will be the Death Of Super Smash Bros and the game will end up in a far worse position than Marvel VS. Capcom Infinite as this rate!!!!!!!!!!

i mean, we got wolf, pokemon trainer, and a lot of people loved young link and pichu! we got AN ACTUAL STORY MODE WITH VOICE ACTING. just imagine: snake and pichu fighting side by side! isn't that cool!? now im not saying there was anything wrong with spirit mode. the way they presented it was kinda confusing, but once you get it, it has the potential to be really cool. and yeah, i wish skull kid wasn't deconfirmed but you CANNOT DENY the amount of effort and SPIRIT sakurai put in. i mean, including echos and fighters from melee and brawl, he had to program 17 fighters from scratch! and he did it well to. and you cannot forget that there is confimed dlc! also i dont get why piranha plant is getting such a bad rep. hes free if you preorder. and even then you dont have to get him, he also doesn't take up one of the five slots for dlc. so there is nothing to worry about.

now this is all my opinion, and im not trying to start a flame war, im trying to start a conversation, and this is not against anyone else. you can think whatever you want.

So...one thing kinda does trigger the perfectionist in me about World Of Light...
The dark characters have different, random pallets.
why is this bugging me.

Isn't it all their darkest colors? Because they're all possessed? Some characters don't have black alts so they have to make do.

I say this as someone who thinks its great to support characters you love, but some people just take roster picks way too personally. A lot of them interpret Sakurai making a character an assist trophy as him saying "this character and their fans just aren't important enough".

Yeah, it's like if you were a contestant on Let's Make A Deal, get Zonked, and proceed to resent Wayne Brady and Johnathan Mangum for the rest of your life. Feeling like that is unhealthy.

Practically every Nintendo character is going to end up being a spirit, so I am not sure I take it as a de-confirmation or an achievement. That being said, if Bandana Dee has no spirits in Ultimate, I will take it as a big sign that:
1. Spirits de-confirm characters.
2. Bandanna Dee is coming as DLC.

So I've been thinking:
If your most wanted character/main was in that scene, what would they do in their last moments when put in that situation, and how would they inevitably bite the dust?

There a difference between a leak Vergeben has heard and a leak Vergeben has endorsed.

Those, currently, are only the former. Though presumably given the way DLC is being bundled, we wouldn't get Minecraft content without Steve. :/

I think it's best to accept that surprise is dead in Smash Bros. as long as people like Vergeben are around. Be prepared for the roster for the next game to leak before it's even out.

I have to ask again, as there’s a lot of misinformation going around and people are angry as a result: what is wrong with the Online in this game? We have lobbies. Barring bad peer to peer connections this is literally all you could ask for compared to the earlier games.

The Global Smash Power system is, to be blunt, a really bad way to measure skill, especially when it accounts for casual crazy matches as well.

Everyone gets their opinion, of course, but it's extremely obvious that late-stage DLC for Smash 4 was extremely well received. They're doing just fine.

Steve might be a ******** as **** pick, but fact of the matter is that he is a well known video game character for the current generation. You people really going to tell me that a character that likely defined, and is still defining, the childhoods of most our younger players won't be well received?
