Gonna be realistic: Spring Man. I know both Smash and ARMS fandom are overall "meh" on him but I really liked that goofy guy. I hope DLC dials down the ballot characters a bit.

I think people are severely overestimating the amount of dlc characters that we'll get. The majority of the dlc lists I see have at least over 10 extra newcomers. It think like Smash 4 dlc it will only run for a year and that there will only be 5/6 unique newcomers max.

I think one major thing you have to consider when discussing DLC is when the game is coming out in the console's lifespan.

Ultimate is coming out about 21 months into the Switch's lifespan. Smash 4 came out about 42 months into the 3DS' lifespan and 24 months into the Wii U's lifespan.

For the Wii U, the game came out almost halfway through the console's lifespan.

Two things we have to keep in mind:
1. It's going to be out relatively early in the Switch's lifespan (since the Switch has been a MAJOR success compared to the Wii U).
2. Considering the 3DS is dying and 2019 will likely be its final year, Nintendo would solely focus on the Switch, unless they announce another console (which would be kinda weird since the Switch is a home/portable hybrid)

Smash 4 got 7 DLC characters over about 1.5 years in the second half of the Wii U's lifespan.

With all of this in mind, I could see this game getting A LOT of DLC over a few years, especially since the Smash community will probably support the game for many years.

This is not the same situation as Smash 4, Sakurai has PLENTY of time to stick in as many characters as possible over however long he wants to. He doesn't have any restrictions with the 3DS and doesn't have to develop everything for 2 very different consoles.

And since this is the ULTIMATE iteration of Smash, I think he'll go all out to make a final game that will be remembered as one of the biggest crossovers in entertainment history.

But that's just a theory...

I'd argue it doesn't matter if ACP has a similar stance on leaks/Rumors like most companies, like Nintendo. ie don't say a ****ing thing about them.

Like I said a few pages back, though, we've already seen how a PLV firm should react to this sort of thing.

Marina was getting negative press so they stepped in and said something. ACP is allowing their reputation to be damaged by staying silent.

Plus, this isn't like a trap question for them. "Do your employees leak confidential client info?" is a question that any company should leap at the chance to answer "NO!" to.

Honestly, if Geno is actually in then 10 year old me got everything I could have ever dreamed for. That being said, I wouldn't mind getting an Advanced Wars rep or someone from WarioWare.

Something that makes the process of unlocking characters streamlined, whether that be a story mode, adventure mode, or whatever.

Not responding to your whole post, but it's a hell of a lot easier to make your own leak, than it is to edit the banner in a believable way.

The Rayman Leak doesn't involve anything more than the already available and released CSS from Smash 4, which was used, and literally his art render of Rayman. That's it. That's literally it.

This banner has, on art alone:

- 7 unique art assets not found anywhere else
- All 7 fit into the odd artstyle the banner has, from what we can see
- All 7 are seamlessly added to the banner, but displace nearly all of the characters around them, who further displace every other character around them, like a ripple effect. There are hundreds of these changes all over the banner, and this has been verified by many other people.
- Many displaced characters revealed new art, and moved several characters to completely different locations in the end.


I'm not saying it's impossible, but even professional photoshoppers can't replicate it. We had one on Reddit, and after 10 hours he had to stop because he could not grasp it being fake. He himself had too many glaring flaws. You need actual assets to move these characters seamlessly across the banner. Additionally, there's also the question of why the leaker would ever spend the time doing all of those minute, subtle changes when all he was doing was faking it for fun.

In addition to all the things you say could just be rused, not to mention the insanity that the supposed fake leaker would have to express for doing such a thing like impersonating an employee, which is highly ****ing illegal.

Interesting to know. Do you have a link to the reddit thread where he gave up?

It's strange, people are clinging so hard to what these insiders say but they don't want to actually examine and study hard evidence that was spoonfed to them. Because it goes against what their idol said

Lying about insider info is called "going against the status quo" and calling it out makes you a "victim blamer"

People lie. Any "insider" can always lie. You take them at their word. For all you know, they could simply be lucky guessers. They can lie about having any sources at all. When they guess wrong, it should be obvious that that's what they're doing. They rely on the chance that their guesses may be correct. Smash "leaks" are a very fast way to become famous online. Just ask GameXplain or Vergeben.

The Grinch leak could, at the end of it all, be fake. Or it could be real. No one will know until direct time. But the evidence points toward its validity, and just because twitterinsider9000 says it's fake, doesn't discredit the evidence. Just because you don't want to accept the possibility that you may be wrong, does not change the facts. There's a very high probability that the tongue is hidden behind Snake's gun. Our inability to tell for sure doesn't suddenly kill the Grinch leak.

Any "insider" claiming to know something that, in reality, he made up and lied about, should be discredited.

SSE 2 might be possible if Sakurai fully intents on making this game Ultimate but I expect an Adventure Mode at best with every level being a plaftormer instead a lazy half a**ed Classic mode with like only 3 actual adventure levels Melee did.
