I initially just asked why that box was the wrong one. I wasn't trying to refute box theory (though I still don't believe in it). Don't group me with the haters.

We're going to have a Direct by November 8th according to credible rumors.
It probably will, which is one of the main reasons everyone’s positive the direct has to be very soon or else everything’s gonna leak all over the place

Speaking of credible, my question was never answered: What makes the people who say November 8th so credible?

Spawn Wave knew the date of the September Direct, and now they're pinning a Direct for between the 5-10th.
Considering it will be two newcomers in the last 80 ish days before release, I think that's a big assumption yeah. Also I think most of us think there's another direct left.
Exactly, doesn't mean they're gonna bomb us with newcomers.
Miitopia had a surprisingly amazing soundtrack. I hope they add it to the Find Mii stage.

I know, but why do you think that he works for demo unit? That's not media relation thing. Media relation involves working with media, and their purpose of informing public about organisation's missions or their works. Meanwhile, demo unit = games that can be played for short time, in other it is basically demonstration of game with short time.
If that's when the direct is then yeah I agree that won't be a problem, we'll have to see what happens that week.
Two newcomers in a Direct sounds pretty plausible to me. Remember the Smash 4 Direct back in, like, April 2014? We got a single newcomer in that one.
I'm pretty sure Incineroar and Geno will be it for unique newcomers.

I'm at the point where I'm actively hoping Ken and Incineroar are it for the base game. I'm already thrilled with the roster and all the whining from the anti-boxers got annoying long, long ago.

yeah. The only reason I believe the way I do isn’t cause I don’t think the box theory isn’t true, which of course we don’t know either way, I just don’t care. I’m intentionally ignoring it because this is a game to me and I’m picking the less boring route.

Yes, it is a big assumption. Because we had a Direct with 5 newcomers--it's the only precedent we have so far for this game. If you mean two unique newcomers, it's always possible, but that would mean someone in addition to Kencineroar. It's always possible, but it's highly unlikely, especially taking Verge's rumors at face value, that Kencineroar is it.

There will be more than just 1 echo and 1 unique imo, ultimately there's no reason for you to believe me so we'll just have to revisit this is a few weeks. I'd be willing to make a bet with the people that think we only have 1 echo and 1 unique left though.
And since then the director said "he revealed too much too quickly".
Honestly, Wii U Master Core+Fortress was one of my favorite things about its Classic Mode.
