THIS box goes on sale November 2/3rd, and the final Direct is rumored to be on the 8th, almost a week later.


THE box doesn't launch until December 7th, the game's launch.




Gee, makes ya think why a box that is coming out BEFORE the final direct wouldn't have unrevealed characters, while the one coming out a month after the last DIrect would.

Where is the proof that this guy works for demo units? And also, I'm pretty sure that he DID played them which means that game chip is possible to be in one of their switches, that's why case looks empty.

Just got back from Uni. What is happening?

The world is ending!

Actually, we are talking about the Smash Bros bundle box again.

Some predictions for the final Smash Bros. Ultimate direct:

• On November 6th, it will be announced that there will be a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate focused direct on November 8th

• On November 8th at 6:00 PM EST, the direct airs

• The direct begins with a character trailer featuring Incineroar

• A bit later in the direct, Sakurai reveals Ken as an echo of Ryu. Sakurai then announces that all of the characters in the base game have been revealed

• Sakurai announces that there will be DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and reveals that Geno will be the first DLC character

• Spirits mode is revealed. It is an adventure mode of sorts and has a few short cutscenes (although it is nowhere near the scale of the Subspace Emmisary). You can unlock all of the fighters relatively easily in this mode

• Sakurai details many of the remaining modes that haven't been shown yet, including Stage Builder

• Sakurai reveals at least one new mode that almost nobody expected

• Sakurai doesn't reveal any new stages, and doesn't mention that all the stages have been shown off already because he assumes he already told us that (which he did)

• The remaining assist trophies, pokeball Pokemon, and items are revealed

• The direct ends with a montage of all the fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

• People on Smashboards fall into two vaguely defined groups (which aren't necessarily mutually exclusive): those who were expecting more characters and stages and are disappointed with the direct, and those who weren't expecting much and are happy with spirits mode

• A meltdown occurs on Smashboards and other Gaming message boards on the internet

• Within a week the meltdown is mostly over, and people start seriously speculating about DLC

The number of uniques doesn't matter in the slightest, because if you look at basically ALL the marketing for this game, they're going by "All characters+Echoes-2 for Pokemon Trainer."



Literally every piece of marketing for Ultimate I've seen so far has said "72 characters!", which is also what the About page says.



The unique number is pointless.
