Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

soft confirms Sora in smash, soft de-confirms Geno - literally everyone is yelling at each other.

but then again I would be happy to just get the banger track from KH (although I really want Sora I could be happy with just the music... maybe)

Never actually played Melee until about a year ago, actually. Little me somehow didn't get how cool Smash was as a concept. My mom got me Brawl when it came out because even SHE could tell I should like it.

First thing I did was play Subspace, I had no real idea what I was doing but the character I had the most fun with was Lucas. Over time I got decently good with him, mainly used him to complete higher-difficulty modes, started learning how to get really good with him, years later (but before Smash 4 was out) decided to try being competitive with him. Somehwere along the line decided to learn about my character's history and checked out Earthbound and Mother 3.

I had no real idea what a 'main' was at the time, didn't really until I had already stopped playing Brawl for awhile and Smash 4 was coming. Didn't have a main picked out until I saw Bowser Jr.'s moveset, and was interested, but THEN I found out I could be Iggy Koopa and the deal was sealed.

I mean, if we actualy rank them, 3 is the less crazy one
We have G1 and 2 normal story, 3 with its ancient gods, G4 with space monsters and THE ancient gods and God, G5 with PETA with more hypocrisy, G6 with actual Genocide and implied suffering for eternity, and G7 with lovecraftian monsters from other dimensions.

Ophilia, but only because she's apparently voiced by Cristina Vee (English Homura). I have never played Octopath Traveler, so I don't know who she is or what she'd do.

Every generation, Pokémon slowly turns more and more into Shin Megami Tensei.

Digimon is also undergoing the transition.

Anyway, what I hate about LaxChris and all those fake leaks is that it's always the same characters, every time, in varying orders, in the world's most boring text leak.

Even when it's characters I want like Incin or Medusa or Isaac it's getting SO DULL. Be like the guy who threw in the Ice Hockey guy, or Ryota, or the LaPailleDor leak that had Reimu, or something. Photoshop a stupid-looking image like the Steve Harvey CSS! For god's sake do something interesting!

Fake leaks can be a blast, but my God, the Smash Bubble is so real and it's sucking the fun even out of silly things.

Unpopular Opinion, Gen 7 is one of my favorite Pokemon plots. An alien invasion centered around a broken family in Poke-Hawaii? that's awesome! I know some people would prefer the more grounded plot of gen 1 but I much prefer when Pokemon gets crazy.

It took a while for me to branch out, but when I did, holy hell did I branch out far.

All of them - in the game they can all learn each others classes. Just make each special a different ability from a different class. Have a boost mechanic and weapon switch mechanic (its starting to sound like a nightmare to code a character like this)...

I dunno If I could only choose one then Thereon (Theif) because I chose him first, but I also like the priest, mage and dancer.
