I'd pick Tressa if I had my choice, though it would honestly be hard to have just one since all eight characters are important enough if Octopath had representation in Smash. An Assist Trophy featuring all eight characters would be really cool though.

Honestly, the music by itself is all I would need. Battle at Journey's End would be amazing to battle to in Ultimate!

Unpopular Opinion, Gen 7 is one of my favorite Pokemon plots. An alien invasion centered around a broken family in Poke-Hawaii? that's awesome! I know some people would prefer the more grounded plot of gen 1 but I much prefer when Pokemon gets crazy.

I thought Gen VII having a very good plot was one of the things most people could agree on.

Obviously it'd be a stage. On one hand, I'd be excited that Rhythm Heaven is getting some love, but I want a playable character sooo bad

Anyway, what I hate about LaxChris and all those fake leaks is that it's always the same characters, every time, in varying orders, in the world's most boring text leak.

Even when it's characters I want like Incin or Medusa or Isaac it's getting SO DULL. Be like the guy who threw in the Ice Hockey guy, or Ryota, or the LaPailleDor leak that had Reimu, or something. Photoshop a stupid-looking image like the Steve Harvey CSS! For god's sake do something interesting!

Fake leaks can be a blast, but my God, the Smash Bubble is so real and it's sucking the fun even out of silly things.

It kinda sucks that my guy Incineroar is getting more hate than usual because he's the focus of all these leaks and speculation.
If he gets in though it's all worth it.

The "Dark Zelda" alt Zelda currently has doesn't look all that much like Hilda (for one, the hair is Silver, not Purple like Hilda's hair).

Every generation, Pokémon slowly turns more and more into Shin Megami Tensei.

Digimon is also undergoing the transition.

In Digimon World Data Squad (arguably a mediocre spinoff rpg) you search for the Seven Demon Lords, Digimon representing each sin, so the villain cant get their code to bring Lucemon back to life.
Also Protag can just punch Digimon when he needs to and thats ****ing rad

Who was your first main in any of the Smash games. guys?
Ice Climbers for this guy!! (Melee was.....fun )

It's hard to say as I don't really have "mains" as I play a variety of characters that are fun and am more of a casual player than competitive. I guess in Smash 64, the one I played the most was Ness as I loved using PK Thunder to aim into me and slam into my opponents. I didn't play Melee unfortunately as I never owned a GameCube. In Brawl, I had many characters I liked, but I tended to go with Meta Knight as he was just so broken. I really enjoyed playing Pit as it allowed me more movement and was an awesome recovery, until he became less fun to play with in Smash 4. And in Smash 4 I had so many characters that I liked, but Bowser Jr. (as Lemmy) was perhaps the most fun to play as and troll people with. It's going to be even more so in Ultimate as there's just so many characters I want to play (mainly veterans) and I feel like I'll have even less of a main, but my most hyped character is everything that's been done with Pokemon Trainer.

alt costumes are unlockable? thats my best guess because a zelda echo would be pretty lack luster not to mention aggravating to the zelda fans who want characters like Skull Kid or Vaati way before a rip off zelda that appeared for a short while in one game.

zelda could have a hilda, Princess styla (cursed and uncursed) alt costume as well as her other incarnations.

I mean that dark Zelda alt could be a reference/nod to Hilda, but the hair and some of the accessories don't match in color.

She could be an easy echo, but I'm not sure if Sakurai would prioritize her over other Zelda reps (Skull Kid) or even other Zelda echoes (Impa).

Not impossible and I'm all for it, but I don't see a Hilda echo making it in.

I feel it. Like that's the thing, I'm a big Incineroar supporter, and most of the characters included in the leaks are also ones I'd like to see - I'm a Street Fighter guy so Ken is A-OK with me, I just started Kid Icarus Uprising and really love it so more reps from that would be cool, Elma is one of my most-wanted characters, Geno is cool and I'd be happy for his fans, etc. - but man it feels like I click on a fake leak link or video and EVERY SINGLE TIME it's the SAME PEOPLE. Like, no one is going to say "Oh, I called it!" when EVERYONE is saying the SAME CHARACTERS.

Ryota and Lloyd was the best leak because it looked great and was made of two unusual choices. Like, it was clearly fake because of how hard it was trying to be the ESRB leak which is basically shorthand for "hey look at me" but at least it tried. Same with the Agnes leak. That was the one that got me into this speculation scene in the first place - it was unusual, it was interesting, it was cool.

Well... Incineroar was getting a lot of hate since his very existence for the fact he resembles the trend of the Fire/Fighting Starter that was just stopped in the last generation by Delphox (despite in the end don't actually be a Fighting Type... that was a nice surprise xD)

I still think there'll be an unexpected character along with the expected Ken, Incineroar, Geno, etc.
So if we're lucky the next direct will be surprising, whenever that is...
