Isn't it just a simple web game?

Including Jack over Ren or Yu would be like picking a Chocobo or generic Black Mage over Cloud or Terra or an actual character. Jack would probably be an AT or maybe a part of Ren/Yu's moveset.

We have had this exact argument before and I'm gonna prop my "Jack Frost is a character with actual personality and represents numerous subsets of the series and also has MUCH more moveset material to draw from than Chocobo, and generic Black Mage again has no characterization and does not represent the entire franchise and its faucets as Jack Frost does" points back up and suggest we probably shouldn't delve into it again

Nice! Reminded me I haven't done one with DLC, though it's mainly because I don't like speculating about DLC given there's so many unknowns--who's in the base, what it's structure would be, how long we can expect it to continue (and the remote possibility there isn't any). Here's my expectations/wishlist:

I feel like there will be more third party characters as DLC than first party, but I tried to make them even (it was, until I realized I forgot to add Isabelle) and it got most of the main characters I'm concerned about, as well as one character per third party (I'd give Konami one, but Bomberman's an assist--and I decided to try no assists for this one). I also think if echoes are DLC, they'll either be free (to Nintendo online subscribers) or very cheap, and so I don't see third party echoes being a thing.

There are other characters I feel are likely, such as Travis Touchdown as our first Indie rep and a Felix echo for Isaac. Got close to 100 (98-ish depending on how you count it), but my perfectionism got the best of me. Order doesn't matter, and the colors are green confirmed, yellow base, red DLC. Also much more DLC than might be realistic, but my hope is that Smash DLC continues for many years as possible (which also makes it difficult to guess what will be popular two years from now). Can't really fathom what a follow up could do to top Ultimate.

Pretty cool! The only things I would change are swap out Banjo & Kazooie, Geno, Fire Emblem rep, Crash, and Rayman for Ryu Hayabusa, Erdrick, Flynn, Leon Kennedy, and Doomguy, and you'd have the greatest Smash roster in history IMO.

Ditto Kirby is in an 8 player match with one Kirby and seven Ice Climbers, then Ditto Kirby copies an Ice Climber.

Saw people were posting roster predictions/wishlists earlier. Took me a while, but here's mine:

A few notes on some of these choices:

-I think Elma and Incineroar will be our final base Newcomers.
-I don't believe Ken is by himself. I really do think Shadow is base roster.
-Sora and Roxas(Echo) are the SE reps, and they'll be the first DLC.
-Octoling will be a semi-clone and use weapons Inklings don't from both Splatoon 1 and 2.
-Rabbid Peach will work like the Koopalings and have the other Rabbids as alts, minus Rabbid Cranky.
-Gen 8 Pokemon as an advertisement character.
-FE Character that everyone will hate as an advertisement but people will buy them anyway so they can have a full roster.

Now to wait and see how wrong I am.
