I would prefer Smash stay within video games with Nintendo history, but It's not a big deal to me if that was ever broken. As long as the characters are fun to play as, I honestly don't care where they come from.

I just feel like Rayman (Or even a Rabbid) would make more sense as a Ubisoft rep in the context of Nintendo. That just boils down to personal feelings, of course. But the likes of Ezio would absolutely have a place in a game like Smash, my reservations with the direction the series has gone in aside.

I remember reading the stories of Melee's leak during the pre-Brawl days, thinking about how ridiculous the idea of Roy Koopa getting into Smash was and how anyone could have even considered it. Little did I know...

My older cousin tricked me into believing that Mr. Game and Watch was the Japanese name for T.T. from Diddy Kong Racing. Being one of my favorite games at the time, I was beyond pissed when I learned that was a total lie upon unlocking him.

It's funny to me how Soul Calibur 2 was going to have Cloud in the PS2 version.

Getting a Soul character would be some magic, reuniting two characters from two separate guest appearances by making them a guest in a game completely unrelated to Soul Calibur.

Video games are magic, maaaaan.

Miyamoto loved the Portal games, after all, and he's partially responsible for Pac-Man getting in. Plus Chell is technically eligible because of, of all things, the Wii U port of Lego Dimensions.

It'd have to be Altair, Connor and Edward have completely different fighting styles (Even from each other) and different weapons.

My brother and I were joking about Ezio being in Smash, but that would be unironically cool.
I just don't know how they'd make any of his moves interesting, but they could make it work. Snake literally just uses CQC and some explosive weaponry and somehow they made his style very flashy and cool to watch.

Ah yes it is also in brotherhood and revelations but my point was they got rid of it for a while before deciding to being it back for future games. I think at pne point they wanted to move on and distance themselves from Ezio.

It's my preference as well, particularly going back to playing Smash 64 as a kid.

It's why I'm hopeful for Banjo & Kazooie would satisfy so many things--Microsoft character, former Nintendo character and one that originated in the N64 era, wanted since Melee and popular in polls. The bear and bird got a lot going for them. And even if they're not in Smash, Microsoft still has gone back to their N64 designs, recognizing the importance of that era instead of keeping their Microsoft designs.

Well not totally different, They actually are alot closer to Ezio.

Two Hidden Blades, A poison blade with projectile darts, A dagger (or a tomahawk). A hidden gun (or a flintlock). and a primary sword or ax.

If they don't have Glados hiring Wii Fit purely to measure Chell's weight I would be sorely disappointed.

I'd be completely okay with it, regardless of it not making much sense, lol. Portal is probably my favorite puzzle game, and having a character who's main gimmick is moving through portals sounds really intriguing and like it would be a nightmare to develop. I'd be curious to see how Sakurai and his team would handle it.

There's also Bridge Constructor on the Switch but I'm not sure if Chell appears in it.
Portal 2 is my favorite game not on a Nintendo platform anyways so I'd be super ****ing hyped. Not to mention what you could do with a portal-based moveset and oh god the stage.
No more Snake Codecs or Palutena's Guidance, now it's GLaDOS making sarcastic remarks about the playable fighters.

If Chell gets in as DLC and gets good sales, maybe Valve would realize that their games still have merit to them, and they'll start making games again. I'm still waiting for the Heavy Update and Comic #7 for TF2, Left 4 Dead 3, and Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
