Least favorite brawl metaknight. If we’re just talking in general though...

Lucario I can’t stand for the same reason someone else mentioned. I hate the “get hit to get stronger” mechanic, it goes against some of the core ideas of fighting games, the point is to try and not get hit while trying to hit the opponent, Yet for lucario to have any serious ko and damage power he has to be at a high damage himself somewhat.

Bowser jr is another I can’t stand, only because I find the character himself absolutely annoying. From the first day I ever saw and heard him in mario sunshine, I wanted to ram rusty nails in my ears and poor bleach in my eyes to make the pain go away, we had to watch the koopalings drop into obscurity for this abomination?! He was the character I used as my punching bag in 4 when I first got it and was testing Shulk out in training mode.


Bayonetta for obvious reasons.

Cloud I didn’t like originally because I didn’t feel he earned his spot since he’d never made an official major appearance on a Nintendo system, but with ff7 among others getting released for switch soon, I’m now kinda indifferent on him.

But Sneasel is the hero Pokemon deserves, just not the one it needs right now.

Oh and in terms of sheer fun, is number one: he's kind of terrible but driving into people, spamming his up special and smacking them with a hammer is so, so satisfying.




Problem with Midna's true form is we see it in TP for about five minutes. Her imp form's a lot more recognisable and has greater potential for a moveset when combined with Wolf Link (the only case where a fourth Link would be okay, unless we're talking about a Young Link with three MM transformation masks).

Yes, just like how Shiek being actually Zelda's alter ego was a spoiler for in OoT was basically just in Melee with a push of a down b.

I'm perfectly fine with FE characters, it's just the majority of people don't seem to be.
Same thing with Pokemon. I'd be fine with a few more reps, but a lot of people won't want anymore...

Some people are gonna say that "Mario has too many" or "Metroid has too many"

I'm actually really upset. I had the Gamers Club Elite that I planned on using to pick up Starlink with the Arwing at 20% off. But it expired at midnight east coast time and I tried to preorder it like 30min too late.

$75 is a big ask for a game I only really want to play part of.

Least favorite? I hate Corrin so much in this game, but not for the "average" reason.
The guy is arguably one of the worst protagonist in any Fire Emblem game, looks stupid, sounds stupid, and who the heck goes to a war without wearing some kind of shoes?
But that's not the reason that I hate him. I would just leave him there if that was it.
But he's also one of the most unique and FUN Fire Emblem characters in Smash, and I hate that so much. How am I supposed to hate him and complain about him being in the game when he's a legitimally fun and interesting character?

My bias wants to say is the worst character Smash has added, (Because I don't like Fates or the Character, not because "too much FE") but they're actually insanely fun to play so it's kinda hard to say they're my least favorite fighter.

Honestly, from a pure gameplay and competitive perspective, I think is my least favorite. Only because everything in his kit absolutely annoys me. Dealing with Gordo is annoying, his up special is annoying, the little "impact" his hammer swings have that make punishing him from the front a chore are annoying, neutral B is annoying, down tilt is annoying, the way you have to play him is annoying, just absolutely hate dealing with him. I really struggle against him, even with characters that hard counter him.

That's not to say I hate the Character though, because I LOVE that not-so-good-but-actually-the-goodest-boy Penguin.

Oh its true.. There is kind of too many Pokemon for my taste especially when the only one I ever used in previous Smash games is Mewtwo, but hey the good thing is there are plenty of Pokemon to beat up on and if Incineroar is added, well I have only only two words for him..

Well, it's not like those people have a leg to stand on. We're talking about the most lucrative franchise in the world, and people want to complain about overrepresentation?

At least Pokemon is a goldmine of unique characters. We've got nine so far, and only one can be classified as a clone of any kind.

I probably shouldn't have took a shower when I was expecting replies, so I might be a bit late on this but...

I mean, I don't mind Corrin. I haven't played Fates, but I heard their character is abysmal, mainly because of IS trying to juggle self-inserts with an already written personality. Even their victory quotes in Smash are rather bland. But I still think they're an okay character. Not the best nor the worst, but just... mediocre. In Smash though? They're great. Their moveset is fun to use.

Eh, he's kinda meh for me.
I used to love him in Brawl, but thanks to Smash 4 limiting his Pikmin count, he's just not fun to use for me anymore.

'Least favorite character' has a few definitions to me.

I love Kid Icarus Uprising, easily the best 3DS game for me, but Dark Pit screams 'laziest addition by far' to me and it makes me a little upsetti.

I dislike Bayonetta for what she did to the competitive scene, but I never got personally saturated by losing to her in tourney or anything.

From a personality/actions standpoint my least favorite character is probably Corrin. I play Corrin because they're fun, but god are they just drywall personality-wise.

Bar none my least favorite character to play against (plz no hate Zinith ) is Yoshi. I find him exceedingly annoying to play against, his forward air in particular makes me want to chew lead.

Getting put back with was the best thing that could have happened to zard, honestly.

I've personally always found almost all the Pokemon's movelists really boring (though that's or course just me). But even if you don't think so, having Charizard on his own when Bowser AND Ridley exist just kinda makes him look more samey and boring by comparison.

But putting him together with the other starters with no stupid penalty? That's already shaping up to be one of the most fun characters in the series. My time spent playing Pokemon Trainer in the demo was a blast. AND they look like they're probably gonna be very dang good.

Wanna play Zard solo? You can do that. Just gotta switch back to him after he's KO'd. Not like fighting as him alone would make him any worse than he was in Brawl or Smash 4 to begin with.

He's too new. The roster was finalized in December 2015, with Rex and Pyra's designs being finalized in 2016...
