never played a batman game but have seen some videos of em...forgot which one in particular made me think "that's a smash moveset right there"
Not like I want batman in smash, but he definitely has moveset potential for sure.

imo, Karate Joe is one of the worst characters to represent the series.But hey you still did get your Rhythm Heaven did ya not.
Having him hold and summon items and characters from the Rhythm Heaven series would seem out of character for him...
I would still be fine with him, but there are other characters I would choose before him...
That's not exactly true, if you want to believe that Shantae inclusion into Smash is unlikely that's fine, I can effortlessly respect that. However, just because Shovel Knight couldn't make it in, doesn't mean Shantae can't make it in. In fact it could mean just the opposite.
Shantae has enough history, merits, pros, and advantages, going for her that they shouldn't be ignored, just because Shovel Knight didn't make it in. Sakurai could easily, and realistically pick her over Shovel Knight simply because of said merits, and history. Though she has her own flaws, cons, and disadvantages as well too, in the end, her chances', and Shovel Knight's chances are mutually exclusive.
When people say "If Shovel Knight couldn't make it, neither could Shantae" it just feels so similar to the other statements fans have made in past:
"Ridley's too big."
"Cloud will never make it in Smash."
"Gee I don't know, Disney owns Sora, so it's basically impossible for him to get into Smash."

I would be super satisfied.
I would also say replace Leon with Krystal, but she's an assist trophy already... I would replace Shadow with Knuckles too but it's the same as Krystal.

It would very likely be between Heisei and 2000, given those are the two incarnations that get the most exposure.
My money would be on 2000, though.
They use that design a lot...

God, Shin Godzilla. Man I really liked that movie, even though I had to use subtitles. Still wondering what they've got planned with that incarnation of the King of the Monsters.

He was in "Theatrhythm Final Fantasy" (and it's sequel), neither of which constitute small cameos.
He was merely just as important as anyone else in that game, but that doesn't make it a cameo appearance.

Just spitballing here, but Godzilla's stage could be a miniature city with the fighters looking like giants on it. You could destroy little buildings and stuff; it'd be pretty neat haha.

Tail too long and legs too stubby.
Also that design is owned by Warner Bros., so there would be more legal hurdles as compared to any of the Toho Godzillas.
The reason why 1998 Godzilla (or "Zilla") is fine is because the rights to that creature belong to Toho now.
