They never start their social media up until 10am est if I recall correctly.

They usually post at 10EST but do post at 9EST some times.
Directs are normally posted at 10EST though.

Small price to pay if it means more time and effort could go into getting more characters and whatnot. Balancing is no joke to be trifled with in how much dev time it eats up.

Actually....possibly. Due to Nintendo’s ****ty online service I feel a bit more motivated to get my smash fix offline this time. I’ve gotten lazy over the years due to the convenience of online, but I refuse to pay a cent for this service until it’s actually something worth paying for, as right now it’s down right insulting to fans as it’s got less features and functionality than wii u’s free service.

Unless they update it and make it actually worth paying for between now and December, I’m very unlikely to sub to it.

Yes. There was a supposed script leak that, while having dubious qualities like having Waluigi and Ganon being an echo fighter, does seem somewhat plausible, given the official looking letter included. I'm not necessarily holding my breath, but it included Phoenix Wright, Decidueye and a flipping story mode confirmation. The closer we are to something like that, the better. It apparently claimed to be occurring on November 6th.

How do people here feel about customs being gone? TBH while I loved the concept, I'm very glad they seem to be scrapped. I always felt they were terribly implemented in Smash 4 in both viability and especially unlock method, and I honestly think dev time would be better spent somewhere else. To each their own, though: I'm sure there were people who did like them.

Sad to see the concept scrapped but glad that the dev time has gone into more tangible things like characters and stages. Only really, Palutena, Mega Man and the Miis used them properly, even if I loved that one of Ganondorf's that made his Wizard's foot into a semi-viable recovery move

I'm not necessarily holding my breath, but it included Phoenix Wright, Decidueye and a flipping story mode confirmation. The closer we are to something like that, the better. It apparently claimed to be occurring on November 6th.

Script leaks are literally just "describe every single detail in a Direct" type of leaks which means they're all immediatelly fake. I like the script writing exercise it makes these people do though, I should give it a try.

Text leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as all of them should be.

Remember when we all buyed Pokemon USUM Thinking that it would be a good game I remember those awful days those were 40 dollars I cant get back

I didn’t buy them, I usually watch reviews/gameplay before I decide to buy any game, but that’s just me.

Not sure where the surprise is coming from--we do this all the time whenever we "expect" a Direct. It's all in good fun. My guess, and it's only a hunch, October 10th makes the most sense, so we'd probably hear something tomorrow.
