Personally I feel that Isolde is going to be hit soon much like X Saber Invoker was.

All I can say about this Pokémon discussion is this: at least nobody here is trashing the new Pokémon themselves and spouting nonsense such as “Gamefreak is running out of ideas for Pokémon.” There’s still so many ideas they potentially have for new Pokémon, and I can think of a good number of animals yet to be used as Pokémon that’d be cool to see: Gorilla (Oranguru is an Orangutan), Hammerhead Shark, Swordfish, Stegosaurus, Hummingbird, Dung Beetle, and Platypus.

How has the Pokemon Company not added a damn dolphin Pokemon to the series yet.

Other than that I really want a velociraptor.

Dude, to make that game was hard.

Sure it was not a new idea, but thinking of all of those Ultra Beasts, new worlds, tons of different stories and all of that.

Honestly the game was not lazy. Also sure a lot of cutscenes but those cutscenes took effort.

They can not just copy SM and add things. They probably had to start from scratch.

Pokémon is fun to talk about. Also Gen 7 > Gen 6. TRUTH RIGHT HERE.

I'd take X and Y any day of the week over Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Also Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire do Lillie's "Ima become a strong trainer" story better with Wally than Sun and Moon.

This isn't just one of the best changes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire made, but it's also one of the best moments in the series hands down.

I get the feeling that Game Freak wanted to make the entire Journey to the West party over several Generations.

Incineroar is Sun Wukong (obviously), Emboar is Zhu Bajie. We probably would have gotten a Water starter based on Sha Wujing (presumably, a Kappa) if they hadn't stopped. God knows what they would have done for the monk.

Anyway, I am very tired... so...

If we're lucky we'll get fossil Pokemon next year, I really hope one of them is a Raptor.
I think the reason we didn't get fossils in Alola is because in real life Hawaii has no fossils, but that's dumb. Give me more Dinosaurs Gamefreak!

People like to talk about how Gamefreak refuses to change things up, but let's not forget that when S/M originally released, it did mix things up with trials instead of gyms and making wild pokemon encounters more threatening then they ever were before with the SOS system. While not a massive changes in the grand scheme of things, GF was starting to finally step outside of their confort zone with that game rather then reuse the same, tired old gym formula. This bodes well for Pokemon 2019, imo, as I think they will probably push some of those concepts even further. It's just really easy to be pessimistic with how dissapointing USUM were and how Let's Go is looking to be.

I like how it took Pokemon around 16 years and 6 generations to add a T-Rex Pokemon, one of the most popular dinos. Tyrantrum is such a boss.

Oh, I never completed those two stories. I mean, at least you get to fight people with Legendary Pokemon. I do prefer HGSS, DPP and BWB2W2's stories over USUM, but I think USUM is better than X and Y. At least USUM was a challenge. Even if X and Y looked nice. So did USUM.

I do not love USUM to death, but it is not a horrible 0/10 game. I think it is pretty good.

Also, one thing they did good was they made Shiny hunting for Legendaries fun.

I mean, the maps still look pretty good at least.

I knew they kept the 3DS designs for the Pokemon.

Infernape is based on a monkey. The gold elements in its design as well as its Japanese name are most likely linked to Son Goku, the Japanese interpretation of the character Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong is the main character in the Chinese epic Journey to the West and is a monkey with powerful abilities. It is also similar to the Vanara, a race of ape-like humanoids in the Hindu epic Ramayana, specifically Hanuman who was granted immunity to fire. Hanuman is also believed to have influenced Sun Wukong. It is most likely based on Monkey Kung Fu.

Infernape is still one of, if not the best starter, so I won't hesitate to talk about him.

Scyther does look really cool, but Scizor is awesome.

Scizor is not only super fun to use in battle ( It's mega counts ), but it does look pretty nice.

I like the Iron Man look.

None of those are legitimate counterarguments though.

Every Pokémon game makes the shiny hunting and competitive breeding/training easier because it's the one bone they throw to the competitive fanbase in the hopes that they'll shut up.

None of the new maps are all that great, unless you like a dark city that you visit once, or generic area #1-5 (also known as the Ultra Realm or whatever the **** they called it)

And if you're going to speak about game development, at least be semi-knowledgable about it. If you don't know at least the basics of a topic, it's best not to talk about it.

Ultimately, it comes down to your opinion though, so there's really no point in this discussion.

Ultra Sun and Moon are the second worst games in the franchise, topped only by Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee. Both show a problem with modern day Game Freak which is that they are continually catering to the lowest common denominator and ignoring the fanbase that they've built up over the last 20 years.

Generation 8 better be good, because it's their last chance for me.

I'll just say **** Link system. I've been Someone playing Synchron deck and had tons of fun with the meme Junk Warrior OTK and how fast the deck was.
Then Link monsters happened slowing them down into hell.
Then Level-Eater got hit.
Then Dandylion.
Like smfh.
They released those weird monsters to "speed up" Synchro but as long as you're limited in Space, ****'s too hard and you will hit a wall 3/4 of the time.
Then I just gave up at Yu-Gi-Oh because I can't play the card I like

The story of Sun and Moon was one of it's strong suits.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon removes the good story and replaces it with generic ****.

The game is worse off as a whole because of that.
