Sure, but it only takes one person with some knowledge to leak something. And if a leaker wants to leak something, then I doubt they'll pass on something just because of its importance.

This is kinda getting off-track; the point is that, for some reason, Squenix just doesn't leak. It's very rare. I feel the Squenix rep, more than most things, would be very "unleakable."

I’d prefer Isaac to just not show up in the base game so that he has a decent shot as a dlc character but it is certainly possible sakurai feels bringing him back as an assist trophy is enough sadly.

Kat & Ana as an Ice Climbers echo. They are always together so that'd come into play with the Ice Climber's main form of gameplay. The ice breath move could be replaced with a ninja smoke move whole most of their other moves could be tweaked a bit to fit with their ninja style.

Hades from Kid Icarus Uprising as a Ganondorf Echo. He'd basically be Smash 4 Ganondorf (ya know without the swords). That way, people who are used to the older Ganondorf playstyle won't feel betrayed.

Also, it's kinda an excuse to get one of my favorite video game villains in Smash without making people too upset

I'd rather them just do Black Shadow for Falcon as a Melee Ganondorf. Leave the potential for Hades to get his own unique inclusion one day.

Did you guys Know? Sakurai created a Virtual Pet game in 2005.

Former Hal Laboratory producer Masahiro Sakurai may be creating the next Smash Brothers for Nintendo's Revolution, but Famitsu reports that he's also been working on smaller projects. Sega announced that it is releasing a new LCD game on February 23 in Japan, which will be based on its popular MushiKing arcade card battle game. MushiKing isn't a widely recognized title in America, but it's a major hit with kids in Japan, where more than 11,000 machines are installed nationwide in toy stores and other locations.

Sodatete! MushiKing, as Sakurai's game is called, is a virtual-pet game like Bandai's Tamagotchi toys. The game, which features 20 different types of beetles for players to raise, comes in a round, plastic casing with horns sticking out from the top. The beetles are finicky eaters, and by figuring out which food the bug likes best, its stats are raised. Players can raise their beetle for one week until it dies, but if they take good care of the beetle, it will leave an egg, and its parameters will be inherited to the next beetle.

Like the arcade version, the player can fight against CPU-controlled beetles in a game of rock-paper-scissors. Sodatete! MushiKing owners can also challenge one another, as the LCD game comes with an infrared communication function. There are also four minigames that can be enjoyed alone.

Cool right? Sakurai knows what Tamagotchi and Digimon are for a long time now.

Guts as an echo for a Ike.
Guts is a Black Knight but he is not from the same series so it counts.

I'm actually going to take issue with this whole "Square Enix doesn't leak" thing. Didn't the Switch Final Fantasy XV thing leak? Didn't the newest Tomb Raider leak? The Dragon Quest XI logo leaked ahead of its announcement. A Hitman trailer leaked a while back.

No company is immune from leaks, there will always be people who want their 15 minutes of fame.

I mean, with all the leaks I tend to see that say "x character will be revealed tonight, thus proving my legitimacy", one was bound to be "correct" at some point.

It also becomes less impressive a feat as fewer and fewer characters are left to be covered.

that gothitelle leak was super idiotic from day one (seriously, going full hackerman on a nintendo demo unit? lol) at least this one got something right although zeraora really raises some eyebrows from me. its pausible as an echo but i seriously doubt it would even work on lucario.

What would be the point of having Isaac returning as an assist trophy again if he was absent from Sm4sh?

If he's not playable they just shouldn't bring him back as an assist again.

I think it would be to simply give as much fan-service as he can, making those popular candidates he decided against at least have some role to acknowledge the ballot popularity of the character, like Krystal and Shovel Knight.
