Very good analysis. Now this is the sort of leak I like to see.
Analysis ahead:
(For those of you unaware, a Foley is a sound guy who replicates noises in real life. Remember that scene in Ratatouille where Linguine was running around crazy-like picking up stuff? Every one of those sounds had to be matched by someone IRL. It's the real deal.) It's very possible this guy was hired a while ago to the original sound work. I don't know if Nintendo has ever used a California based sound studio but I'd love it if anyone who knows if this is possible would speak up. Note he says "I only worked", past tense, so he's not claiming anything like "I just got out of the studio guys".
1. "Vanilla Lake"
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yklTb93aPM
Based on the description, nothing surprising here. The original track is trying to approach something like Bossa Nova (note the beats and guitar-like instrumentation).
2. "Fire Emblem-Esque"
This could be harder to nail down. I imagine one of the fantasy series, maybe BoTW's Hyrule Castle theme.
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgK_OfW7nl4
On the other hand, he's likely to recognize this (BoTW was huge), so maybe we're talking about an RPG theme.
3. "Fight Against an Armed Foe"
This is the song in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQl7wDCKXSM
This plays against the boss "Mack" who bounces on a giant knife (nice pun). This is where it gets interesting, because he compares the arrangement to something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBnPedWPatI but with piano. This is actually where I start to believe the leak, if Nintendo could only get a few songs from Square, why not try to make what you have sound themed like a band known for futuristic sounds? This goes with the "Legend of the Seven Stars" title. This is also ironically the biggest point against the leak, Square has been shown to be a little... stingy with music.
4. "Castlevania"
With the high amount of Castlevania songs, this seems likely as well.
5. "Reaching for the Stars"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jR850JQ90fE
Apparently sounds like this. I'm guessing Pikmin but this could honestly be anything.
Overall I'm suspicious of the idea that Nintendo outsourced to California, but that's the biggest thing against the leak. Even the obscure Mario RPG was on the SNES mini, and it's a fairly early boss. Good leak, good read.
To be honest, after Isabelle, it's unfortunate that it seems the deciding factor on echoes comes down to body proportions. I feel like Dark Samus, Shadow and Dixie Kong would make amazing unique, or semi-clones, given their natural abilities. It's something we probably could have guessed, and some did, but it's a hard truth to swallow. I'll take Shadow as an echo just so he could get in, if he wouldn't have gotten in otherwise, though ideally he would be semi-clone or unique. Though, for a unique character, I feel like Tails is the best choice. I'd also like to see what they could do with a classic style Robotnik.I've already asked this, but how would you feel if Shadow got in as a semi-clone instead of an Echo?
I think Tails and Knuckles would be better choices for a unique character, but I'm not gonna complain if we get someone else like Shadow. I'm not a huge Sonic fan though, so my opinion probably doesn't mean much.
Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia was in development during 2015 and it was slated for a September 2016 release date until it got delayed to 2017 (Not to mention SoV was a remake of a 1992 Japan only game)Ehh, I’m not sure about Celica. She seems a bit too late of an addition, but who knows.
Judging by the image, it almost definitely looks legit, at least it was before. But now more proofs seems to point it is 100% legitIs the ken leak legit or fake?
It's passed all of the tests people have thrown at it.Judging by the image, it almost definitely looks legit, at least it was before. But now more proofs seems to point it is 100% legit
And what is this "new proofs" that is totally footage of Ken in action to make me go from skepticism to full on believer.Judging by the image, it almost definitely looks legit, at least it was before. But now more proofs seems to point it is 100% legit
Yeah, it’s most likely legit, there’s a lot of things that can’t easily be faked. Is the ken leak legit or fake?
Nothing really...This new proof I was talking about was that at first, a rumor or speculation about Ken was likely to be turned down. But after seeing that Ken in the image (which I feel could be defined as 'new proof' although it already passed) peoples immediately believed it.And what is this "new proofs" that is totally footage of Ken in action to make me go from skepticism to full on believer.
YOU'RE GOING STRAGIHT To HELLI feel like the swearing wouldn't work well unless it was done justttttt right. Like only in specific taunts/situations. I don't feel his "Damn, not here!" works great as a death bit. And I can't think of other ways to throw in "going straight to hell" that isn't going a bit far for Smash's design. It still appeals to kids, and that's a bit much. Whereas "Death to all who oppose me!" isn't nearly as bad in comparison.
The guns are far easier to implement in comparison because they still fit the military guy he is. He literally grew up on a military base. No reason he can't use 'em if he wants to or the situation calls for it. Though there's not much areas in his moveset where it would feasibly work. Orbital Laser for his Final Smash and cocking his gun for one his taunts works. I did see a Brawl mod some years back where his Down B has him pull out any of the Smash shooting items that are basically a type of gun. That somewhat fits, but it would be better to have a small list of his own options to use with limited ammo and to make them look closer to Bayonetta's, which are a bit less realistic. Not like laser bullets wouldn't work anyway. But that's only if there's a need to use 'em. Which other than the FS I mentioned, they feel superfluous. I'd rather them not have to rely on Super Shadow and be more creative, semi-clone or Echo to Sonic regardless. Plus, Super Shadow actually has unique abilities besides ramming into enemies. Chaos Spear actually would fit better even if he went Super.
Friendship ended with Shulk. Now Shadow is my main.YOU'RE GOING STRAGIHT To HELL
*shadow ***** his smg*
Oh yeah the Celica rumor...we already have and in the game...Geno and Celica are all that remainThere is also Celica (since this leak hasn't been debunked yet)
Quoting this because there's also a second post underneath that seems to also be from the OP.http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/434356491#p434359078
random 4chan leak but its about music tracks so thats a little interesting over the usual fighter leaks.
it says:
"I'm a Foley and sound mixer out of Palo Alto. I'm a Nintendo fan boy I don't know every game so bear with me: I only worked on very few tracks.
-A track that I'm totally sure was 'Vanilla Lake' from Mario Kart for SNES. It has a really strong bossa nova sound and used two acoustic guitars
-A song that sounded kinda like Fire Emblem and had me overlay a vocal female choir track
- A song from Mario RPG, it was the boss battle theme like when you fight Mack but it sounded like cheesy piano house music from Persona It almost sounded like Jamiroquai
-Some song that I'm just going to guess was Castlevania because it was total Buttrock, it has faint bagpipes in certain parts
-A song that sounded like Fantastic Plastic Machine's 'Reaching For The Stars', I don't know what game this was from. "
This better be called The Banana Slamma Combo. >:IMovement display pic.twitter.com/bNEUQNO377

Well, the movement seems nice. Very nice.
And just, wow. Literally the second best player in SSB4 right now, and he already looks like a god here too.
If Chrom can have a different animation for his Up B so can DixieI am starting to worry that Dixie may not get in as an echo for the same reasons Isabelle isn’t one. I think her best chance is as an echo, but she may need different animations. I don’t think she would get in as a semi clone now that we have K. Rool
I'm not sure if that's incredibly clever or incredibly OP. Possibly both. With NiGHTS, I feel like he's better as an Assist Trophy, mainly because of how he works in his home game. He'd make a pretty neat assist though, here's my idea:
When summoned, NiGHTS dualizes with his summoner (for those not aware of NiGHTS lore; essentially, the summoner would become NiGHTS), you then have access to NiGHTS' full capabilities (flight, Paralooping and the Drill Dash); NiGHTS is also able to wrap around the borders of the screen, making him invulnerable to KOs; but he can't stop flying. Just like in Nights into Dreams, you have NiGHTS' powers for the duration of a timer, which ticks down faster if you take damage (and, for balance purposes, if you cross a blast zone).
I wouldn't give up quite yet.I am starting to worry that Dixie may not get in as an echo for the same reasons Isabelle isn’t one. I think her best chance is as an echo, but she may need different animations. I don’t think she would get in as a semi clone now that we have K. Rool
Dixie, unlike Isabelle, fits Diddy's proportions. We have zero confirmations of his tail attacks being available, meaning she can perform all his moves as of now. Whether or not she gets unique moves wouldn't matter in that regard.I am starting to worry that Dixie may not get in as an echo for the same reasons Isabelle isn’t one. I think her best chance is as an echo, but she may need different animations. I don’t think she would get in as a semi clone now that we have K. Rool
That's not even close to a banana slamma. It has to end with a Giant Punch. This better be called The Banana Slamma Combo. >:I
Sung to Labyrinth Zone theme.I thought hell in Sonic's canon was just called Labyrinth Zone.
Or there's also thisSung to Labyrinth Zone theme.
I just can't do this ****, I just play anymore.
You claim your game is fast, but here I am on the floor.
I gonna flip my ****; I'll put you back into the drawer.
I hear you calling out, I just can't take it...
This gun is jammed.
Oh, Sonic Baby! Why'd you go and do this?
Why? I loved you so.
I loved you baby.
Why don't you have save files like in Mario?
Gonna kick you little Hedgehog tooshy
I ****ing mean it, dude I really mean it.

You're right. That's not even close to a banana slamma. It has to end with a Giant Punch.
Why is it when anyone makes lyrics to video games songs it’s automattically cringy. They either try to be funny by adding swear words or they just are like “hey what the heck is that thing over there can’t you see”Or there's also this
I'm gonna go low and guess 10, with some of those being echoes. A chunk of 4's were veterans, after all, so they'd have to totally design characters from the ground up for Ultimate unless they threw in some echoes.Okay how many dlc characters could Ultimate have?? smash 4 had 7
1) Adding lyrics to songs that aren't meant to have them is difficult. Why is it when anyone makes lyrics to video games songs it’s automattically cringy. They either try to be funny by adding swear words or they just are like “hey what the heck is that thing over there can’t you see”
10??? nah it's toooooo good to be trueI'm gonna go low and guess 10, with some of those being echoes. A chunk of 4's were veterans, after all, so they'd have to totally design characters from the ground up for Ultimate unless they threw in some echoes.
That said I don't think we are getting a crazy amount. Something a little more than 4's seems reasonable. Of course for me I'd love this game to be supported for the rest of the Switch's lifetime and just have constant DLC but yknow.
We don't know for sure. Some may say there could be not many since unlike Smash 4 DLC they won't have any veterans (Because every veteran is in the base game) and just newcomers (Since if you discount veterans from the DLC we got, there was only 4 actually new characters in Smash 4). But at the same time, the Switch is way more successful then the Wii U so it'll definitely be even more profitable to make lots of DLC for Smash Ultimate.Okay how many dlc characters could Ultimate have?? smash 4 had 7
I'm like 98% sure it's realIs the ken leak legit or fake?
Honestly I don't think so.So, do you guys think we'll get a direct announcement tonight?
This, although a surprise announcement happened at EVO. But it's going to be likely tomorrow anyways, no matter my opinion.Honestly I don't think so.
I don't think any of the big Nintendo PR guys (Bill, Reggie) are at TBH, they have a booth but it's smaller.
Perhaps tomorrow?
10 for 10$? This is not a good deal. You know what DLC I’d love? Music packs. 10 songs for $10 for each series.
