I forget Rex is a legit ******.Can’t we all be friends?

These guys get along just fine. Though people have been skeptical of Elma, I think this can very well happen in Smash too...
Some of you guys have been arguing about Xenoblade 1 and 2, yet here we are, where Rex is best friends with Shulk now... and Elma.
It's a sad day for a Smash entry when even the one that introduced tripping is better than you. That's the thing, I enjoyed it too! But it has poorly aged and doesn't really hold a candle compared to every other Smash game.
I personally liked Unleashed to an extent, but Lost World is probably the only Sonic game to actually offend my very being.I agree. Sonic Forces as decent.
Better than Unleashed, Lost World, Heroes and 06
Smash 4's problem is more so changing things that didn't need changing and adding things that didn't need to be there.I don't think Smash 4 was bad. I enjoyed it a lot.
Well, agree to disagree. I think my least favorite Smash game is probably Melee. That's the thing, I enjoyed it too! But it has poorly aged and doesn't really hold a candle compared to every other Smash game.
The thing is, I just don't 'think' there's enough characters left.If there really is a character reveal soon, I think they're just gonna pull a ultfalcon: and just have a small steam with only the trailer. I really don't see a bigger Smash direct until late November, and certainly not another Nintendo Direct so soon.
To be fair, I kinda had a feeling we might be off-topic and not talk about Smash, so I figured I'd swerve to be safe. Don't get me wrong, I will appreciate the stuff Smash Wii U has done, like 8-Player Smash and some of the great stages we got, and ESPECIALLY the roster. Unfortunately, those are really the only good things I can say about Smash Wii U. :/I can't tell if you're trying to be provocative to try and change the topic or if you're actually serious here...
Depends on what you're looking for.Hmm, let me try that. *ahem*
Hey! Everyone! I think Brawl is better than Melee!
oh boyTrails in the Sky's 3 games are on steam as are the first 2 Cold Steel ones yes, but theres others to the story that are kind of important too, that I hope manage to get localization even before Cold Steel 3 & 4, because the 2 Crossbell games Zero & AO are very important contexually x.x
Which is why theres of course huge effort fan translations in the works for those 2.
Nah, you're not alone. I also prefer Brawl over Melee, as well as the 3DS version of Smash 4 over the Wii U version.Depends on what you're looking for.
If you're looking for a competitive fighting game, Brawl ain't that.
If you're looking for super fun Nintendo crossover single player and one of the best party games Nintendo has ever made, Brawl fits that perfectly IMO. Then again, my Smash tastes are a little weird, as I legitimately believe Smash 3DS was better than Smash Wii U.
Agree to disagree.I agree. Sonic Forces as decent.
Better than Unleashed, Lost World, Heroes and 06
Forces doesn't have the Nightime stages"better than Unleashed"
That's where you're wrong kiddo.
I would bet on a DLC character or two being shown in a final Direct. The thing is, I just don't 'think' there's enough characters left.
Okay let's say it's Incineroar/whoever... why would they NOT save them for the November Direct unless there's a whole bunch more characters we don't know about?
If it's Ken....I mean, I 'guess'...? But I can't imagine an Echo getting shown off alone.
Robin/Lucina worked because we still had Shulk, Bowser Jr, Duck Hunt and a handful of secrets left.
I cannot imagine us having more than 4 characters left.
We get it. You're a young 'un. Stop reminding me that I'm old!!!Wii U is the best Smash game i've played.
Because it's the only Smash game i've played .
Can you explain how its aged poorly? I'm not trying to trigger a debate (since Smash 4 is my least fave, I'm not defending it). Its just I quit Smash 4 barely a year into its release, so as far as I'm concern, it wasn't for me from the get-go. So what else made the game objectively worse over time? I abandoned it too soon to know how it didn't hold up with age. That's the thing, I enjoyed [4] too! But it has poorly aged and doesn't really hold a candle compared to every other Smash game.
YOU'LL NEVER GET ME OFF YOU'RE LAWN, OLD MAN!We get it. You're a young 'un. Stop reminding me that I'm old!!!
ACNL was my first Nintendo game.We get it. You're a young 'un. Stop reminding me that I'm old!!!
HUH?! Son, I will buy you a Wii and Brawl at the moment, tell me the coordinates and I'll have a plane come drop by with a care package.Wii U is the best Smash game i've played.
Because it's the only Smash game i've played .
Woo! Looking forward to it!I'm gonna bring it around to a less controversial topic...
Dahlia for Smash
I expect the same, but the issue still arises.I would bet on a DLC character or two being shown in a final Direct.
At the very least, Smash 4 was way better than 64.That's the thing, I enjoyed it too! But it has poorly aged and doesn't really hold a candle compared to every other Smash game.
First Nintendo game on handheld was Yoshi's Island GBA. First on console was Wind Waker. PlayStation before that...ACNL was my first Nintendo game.
Does that hurt?
That's another reason i'm so excited for Utimate. For a lot of people they're old mains are returning, but for me it's like six new characters in addition to the new characters!HUH?! Son, I will buy you a Wii and Brawl at the moment, tell me the coordinates and I'll have a plane come drop by with a care package.
But for real, if that's the case, you have SO MUCH content you've never played before. Just remember Shadow Moses Island = best stage.
Well, Ultimate, for one. Someone else said it before, but the game introduced and removed a lot of stuff that sometimes shouldn't have. Comparing Brawl's stage builder to Smash 4's, you can easily see where some faults lie, a lot of questionable choices for the stage roster - I'm mainly looking at it from what did these games have to bring to the table and what they've done for the franchise, and Smash Wii U really didn't do a good job.Can you explain how its aged poorly? I'm not trying to trigger a debate (since Smash 4 is my least fave, I'm not defending it). Its just I quit Smash 4 barely a year into its release, so as far as I'm concern, it wasn't for me from the get-go. So what else made the game objectively worse over time? These are my feelings. I do believe, given the NEW tag and playlist update we'll be getting a new character(s) within two weeks. But early November, before big potential leaks, feels best as they'll want to have the final push as close as possible to release.Welp, anyways, moving the conversation, I feel like a November Direct is more plasuble than an October one.
Here's mine. Look at the release date.My first Nintendo game was Super Mario Bros 3
That's how old I am
And I unironically like 64. Seriously though, its feel is unique compared to what followed afterwards. Every character there looked like they would fit in Mario 64, or were pulled out of N64 games.Nah, you're not alone. I also prefer Brawl over Melee, as well as the 3DS version of Smash 4 over the Wii U version.
Maybe Juno and Vela as an Ice Climbers-esque duo.Trying to discuss something different. I had a shower thought, trying to imagine what the current Smash roster would look like if Microsoft never bought Rareware. Off the top of my head, we would probably have:
-Banjo-Kazooie obviously
-Gruntilda
-Conker
-Rash, Zitz and Pimple
-Jago
-Glacius
-Spinal
-Riptor (for Yoshi v Riptor)
-Joanna Dark
-Junno
-Maybe a Viva Piñata character if that game would have been made anyway.
You cannot die without playing Subspace Emissary at least once. This is still a very hype scene for me in gaming:That's another reason i'm so excited for Utimate. For a lot of people they're old mains are returning, but for me it's like six new characters in addition to the new characters!
I'm actually playing it on my Switch, and my god. That game is actual fire, and for an NES game? That's insane. 3's even better than Super Mario Bros. 2!My first Nintendo game was Super Mario Bros 3
That's how old I am
Not gonna lie. I'd be satisfied with that. Here are my current predictions:
October: Incineroar around a Pokemon Direct, Isaac/Felix (in a Robin/Lucina standalone reveal)
November: Smash Direct where Banjo & Kazooie starts off, Shadow and Ken echoes, Geno is the grand finale.
Stages:
104. Sun and Moon stage (Incineroar playable)
105. Golden Sun stage (Isaac/Felix playable)
106. Banjo-Kazooie stage (Banjo & Kazooie playable)
107. Monster Hunter stage (Rathalos assist)
108. Minecraft stage (Creeper assist)
