There's just no way 2 is not better than the original. Having sunk 200+ hours in the original and 360+ in 2, they both pretty much are neck in neck, but 2 edges out slightly. The combat system in 1 is so easy to cheese out that literally, once you find the best crystals and weapons, all you really need to do is mash the arts. That's literally it. With 2, you actually have to think. Not to dock on the original's music, too, because that whole **** is a jam, but it lacked diversity in a lot of places. Some scenes in the original Xenoblade had songs that definitely felt uncomfortable or just the same song you've listened to before. No motif. That's something I'm glad they've fixed in 2, especially. That Chapter 7 scene at the end before the Jin & Malos battle was a big OOF.

All I'll say is that some y'all don't want Pyra and Mythra in Smash, but will happily let Bowsette in with those big boobs of hers. Y'all wild lmao

Because the story and characters are oretty bad

You know who'd be a great Assist Trophy?

Tobin. Preferably as a Bow Knight, but Tobin nonetheless. Plus he'd have some of the best one-liners in the game and we'd kind of have Robbie Daymond in Smash.

To all those that are faint of heart, I should point out that character designs by artists that did porn at some point are actually a pretty common thing. There's even a fighting game series that straight-up started out as porn, before more general public-friendly installments got made.



Same reason Sonic can run around without pants and get away with it. The further away from human you are, the more you let it slide.

Wait didn't Shadow Dragon and New Mystery have different lead artists though? SD was done by Masamune Shirow and NME was Daizuke Izuka. Am I missing something here?

Shirow was only a contributor, Izuka was still the main artist

But yeah Shirow's resume is pretty ****ing nasty if you look deep enough. I think he's a biiiiiiiit racist against black people if you catch my drift.

I can't find anything racist from him but I'm not surprised he's a hentai artist considering the unnecessary nudity in GitS and his style fitting perfectly with 90s hentais.

Have the characters you guys use have changed over time? As a kid I played as Kirby, pokemon, and Sonic. Now I use more realistic characters like Marth and I'm looking forward to Ridley and Ritcher. Each iteration influences my choices since I like to use the newer characters because they're new and exclusive.

I used Lucario constantly, but it's slow Smash Attacks and movement gets annoying sometimes, wish I can trade a bit of the damage his Aura causes to increases his overall speed.

I’d love me to see some Sakura rep as a trophy or in some form. Outside of Ryu she is the best from street fighter.

She is the #1 voted Street Fighter on the official Capcom poll, I sure wouldn't mind getting her as a echo or a newcomer instead of Ken.

You're not supposed to know Fiora is a Mechon until like halfway into the game. If anything Jade Face was a bigger spoiler than her.

I dunno. In Xenoblade itself, the Fiora spoiler is written in a way that it will come off as a surprise. It's possible to infer even before, sure, but the game never explicitly states anything until the truth has already been revealed. Not to mention, the Fiora reveal is meant to mark a major turning point in the game.

Jade Face on the other hand is pretty much handed to you on a silver platter. Assuming that you've been paying attention to the basic events of the game, it's almost impossible not to know who Jade Face is, even before you even see him for the first time. Not only that, but by the time Jade Face comes into play, the truth about faced Mechon is already common knowledge to the party.

At some point he lost most of his work in an earthquake. Either he lost motivation to do good stories and (relatively) clean stuff since then, or he actually died and someone's ghostwriting/drawing using his name. Just compare the Ghost in the Shell 1 and 2 manga, they're night and day in regards to quality.

Meanwhile, W.I.T.C.H. fans who know of Alexandro Barbucci should tread lightly if they want to read Sky Dolls...

At the end of the day, Xenoblade 2 sold 2/3rds of Persona 5's sales and is winning awards, so facts win over feelings as usual. I can't wait for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe to be the best sold Wii U port literally because of Bowsette and once again people who complain about the port run away lmao

I think with everything lining up, this would be pre-Direct reveal time. Can't wait to get my popcorn ready for some of the reactions.

I’ve never played Xenoblade but I probably should...(P.S. Slightly Lewd character designs such as those just slightly bug me. Doesn’t me I hate them, or don’t like them. Xenoblade actually has some pretty great character designs. Especially love the color schemes.)
