Xenoblade 2 as a whole is gutter trash

The game's fine for someone who's really into JRPGs and all the tropes therein. And the music's good.

The only things I genuinely don't like are the character designs and the voice acting. While that ruins the game for me, I recognize why there are people who like it.

XCX was so much better. Make XCX2, Nintendo.

Xenoblade 2 is a game I can't stand at times. Its fanservice, oversexualization of female characters, art style, etc. Yeah, the battle system is fine. The music is pretty good. But yeah... Honestly, I regret buying the game digitally. I just thought I was going to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the first game. :[

There's just no way 2 is not better than the original. Having sunk 200+ hours in the original and 360+ in 2, they both pretty much are neck in neck, but 2 edges out slightly. The combat system in 1 is so easy to cheese out that literally, once you find the best crystals and weapons, all you really need to do is mash the arts. That's literally it. With 2, you actually have to think. Not to dock on the original's music, too, because that whole **** is a jam, but it lacked diversity in a lot of places. Some scenes in the original Xenoblade had songs that definitely felt uncomfortable or just the same song you've listened to before. No motif. That's something I'm glad they've fixed in 2, especially. That Chapter 7 scene at the end before the Jin & Malos battle was a big OOF.

All I'll say is that some y'all don't want Pyra and Mythra in Smash, but will happily let Bowsette in with those big boobs of hers. Y'all wild lmao

Xenoblade 2 is the game I've enjoyed the most this year so far, just beat it the other week 165 hours in (and I got KOS-MOS off an unboosted common). I'm now playing the original a bit on 3DS after dismissing it a few years ago, so I have the backwards experience. I do sincerely think the hate for 2 is overblown though because people can't be bothered to look away from the original for a second.

To all those that are faint of heart, I should point out that character designs by artists that did porn at some point are actually a pretty common thing. There's even a fighting game series that straight-up started out as porn, before more general public-friendly installments got made.

This Hero vs Villain theme was noticed by the King K Rool Trailer. But it is not saying it is continuing, because not every villain in Smash is added with SmashBros Special. ^^

Somehow I guess Smash Bros. Ultimate will end with 12 new fighters, because it has began with 12 fighters. It could be 1 Echo and 2 very new fighters. SSBS stated already it is a little anniversary with the best of the best from this series.

As much as I love XC2 as a game, I want Rex and Pyra in Smash more for the stage (Mor Ardain please) and the library of music they'll bring along rather than the characters themselves. I really hope they'd add this one

In Japan, a very large portion of artists find work in that sort of stuff before landing the jobs they actually want. It's a booming industry.

There are also accomplished adult content artists who actually like that profession as-is, but I think there's a significant amount of Japanese artists with hentai on their resume simply out of necessity to get into the industry. (Can't speak for any of them individually though; I'm not into the stuff.)

I just don't get why they changed the art direction fr XC to XC2 so much, the original artstyle fit the game's world perfectly and X's, while slightly different, had its own different approach to its world and didn't advertise itself as a sequel.
Meanwhile, XC2 thought it was a good idea to hire the most horny artist to draw something that looks like it came straight from a light novel adaptatio with a long ass name by A-1 studios.

Wait didn't Shadow Dragon and New Mystery have different lead artists though? SD was done by Masamune Shirow and NME was Daizuke Izuka. Am I missing something here?
