i remember i guess it was like 50 ages back now, but a person listed how the trailers have gone (for newcomers) in the order they premiered on the system. would be next.

thats not an accident imo. seems like exactly something sakurai would do. No, i don't care the inkling trailer doesn't go with this it was a trailer for the game not a reveal strictly for the inklings.

i wouldn't look to bayo to get more music. she has the most licensed music of any other character in the game.

The theory was

"Music for a franchise will not appear on the website until Echo/New Character of the same franchise is in the game"

This was broken by Dark Samus, as she appeared after Metroid Music was on the site. Since Dark Samus is an echo, we can remove echos from the theory.

The theory NOW is
"Music for a franchise will not appear on the website until New Character of the same franchise is in the game."

Chrom appearing before the FE song doesn't change that at all. What made it so special for today is that Sakurai DELAYED the Animal Crossing song so that it would come out AFTER Isabelle's inclusion. There was no reason for them to do that otherwise. It's not like showing an AC song was going to spoil her inclusion in the game.

Inkling is a unique newcomer, following along with the theory they'd obviously get their own song

It does when you realize that echo fighters aren't as big/important as newcomers. They don't get trailers, and they don't get music tied to them. It makes perfect sense.

Except those last 2 came out the week of their character reveals, and inklings had to be delayed because ridley. Every single newcomer has had a song linked to them, not every echo has so the rule clearly doesn't apply to echoes. You're grasping at straws by this point.

So because Chrom puts a hole, it's a coincidence? This seems more like confirmation bias than a coincidence. Inkling's was also a week later, and by your logic with it, Chrom's was delayed because of K. Rool, just like Inkling with Ridley.

Don’t take it to heart anymore than any other theory. They are just using the scientific method of observation. This is how real science is done.

You form a hypothesis.
You test the hypothesis.
If you find out that hypothesis is wrong, you
Modify it to fit the results better.
You test new hypothesis.
You wait for results to disprove it.
If it isn’t disproven, it remains and becomes theory.
If the theory holds and gains enough evidence, it can eventually become law.

Music theory can’t be a law, of course, because it’s decided by people, but his approach to the theory is the best that can be done.

It doesn’t mean anything until proven and it can’t be proven until the very end.
It can, however, continue to gain momentum if the pattern doesn’t change.

I'm sorry, but that shouldn't even matter. They're all from the same franchise. It's still a Fire Emblem song.

It's heavily cherry-picking. Don't forget that the blog has skipped many posts before due to various situations.

The theory barely works when you realize the fact the blog posts aren't in perfect order anyway. It hinges on a very clear pattern. One that doesn't exist. Either only unique newcomers get songs related to their series, or others can too. You can't just pick and choose how it applies. Chrom cannot be ignored. The theory was already pretty awful to begin with and requires perfect setup with no skipped blog dates. We have too many skips to begin with. The theory is honestly meaningless.

Sorry I'm late on the Music Theory mumbo jumbo, I just had to gather my thoughts. So anyway...

Series that have a track on the website:

Series that don't yet:

Out of the series that don't have a track on the website, imo I think that Bayonetta (still 11 tracks), G&W (still 2 tracks) FF7 (licensing hell), R.O.B. (just not likely at all) or Ice Climber (only had the Melee and Brawl tracks in the 'Other' tab with no remix in sight unlike Duck Hunt) will be represented on the website. The last two I'm not as sure on as the first three, as they could have one new remix like Duck Hun, but I think it's safe to assume they won't

So, that leaves and as character represented series that imo have a viable chance of getting a remix on the website. Also, there's always a chance that a miscellaneous theme a la Noisy Notebook and the Galaga Medley will get shown on the website.

The max number of tracks we could get before the game launches on December 7th is 11, provided that they don't start adding two tracks every week or something like that.

So yeah. I'm pretty neutral on this theory, but it's still interesting, so I thought I'd post my opinions.

That happened to me in my recent Lost Age playthrough, though it was the other way around. I don't know how much you know about the events of Golden Sun, so I'll spoiler out the names.

The Water Adept in that game was the only one alive to reap the spoils of killing "the boss you need a certain item to defeat". It was the first time I'd ended a battle without everyone still alive throughout the entirety of the two games for that playthrough.

People who've played Lost Age will know exactly who I'm talking about.
