Tbf, Push says in the video "we've been waiting for a couple weeks to hear back if we could publish this and with the branch blessing we've finally decided to show you guys."

Of course, it's not like they own the content or anything, but considering "branch blessing" presumably means from Nintendo themselves, and the content in question wasn't publically released or available elsewhere, it's pretty clear they were given exclusive rights to show it first.

Except they weren't, the renders were up on the press site for pretty much anyone with access to use. If I had bothered to check the press site at any point in the past three weeks, you bet I'd have had stuff like female Corrin up on the FE wiki faster than you could say "what's an NDA?", since as far as I could tell there was nothing on there explicitly preventing me from doing so.

SG just decided to be courteous about it and ask Nintendo first, I guess. But that doesn't mean they're entitled to go around getting annoyed about people not crediting them for it.

You need a final evolution (Charizard), a second evolution (Ivysaur), and a first evolution (Squirtle).

For me, Nidoking, Hitmontop, and Corsola.

Meowth and Gardevoir were easy, but I wanted something that would uniquely compliment the others and is also a first stage evolution (Not base), granted a final stage too, so I went with Gliscor who I do like.

In reality both of you were right, Roy is not really popular in the hardcore Fire Emblem community for a multitude of reasons (He is literally Marth personality wise, his supports are eh, as a unit he sucks...) however in the casual one he is indeed popular, albeit due to Smash only.

Hm...it's a tough one. I have a lot of favorite Pokemon, and I already like the current trainer's selection. But let's see...

Let's go with Zorua, Gabite, and Silvally. Yeah Silvally is a second form but I think it deserves special treatment. Having Garchomp and Silvally seems like a bit much.

You'll find character cuts are a very touchy subject with a lot of people no matter who you suggest. No one wants to see characters they like to play as cut.

I don’t remember Roy being that popular. Yeah, he got 2nd place on that Heroes poll, but everywhere else I’ve been people have slammed him. I guess things have changed in the FE community.

There's 3 types of people in regards to Roy:
People who like Roy because lolsmashmemes
People who hate Roy because they've played FE6 and dislike his character, finding him bland and/or a bad unit.
People who genuinely like Roy because they've played FE6 and can parse some meaning from his character.

on r/fireemblem you'll find an essay post defending all types of characters. Just goes to show you people's taste.

You'll find the Roy Smash people talk about and the Roy Fire Emblem people talk about are VERY different.

Comsidering how much some people want Young Link and Toon Link to use different items to properly represent their games, I'd say having Ganondorf use Pig Ganon's moves would be a bit weird.
And yeah, I can look at his OoT fight and say it's accurate because he does two moves and his beast form is his FS

I hoped Agahnim would be referenced somehow when ALBW was announced so now I've just accepted Nintendo collectivelly retconnected his existence out of their memories.

Zelda does exactly one move in ocarina of time yet her moveset is fairly accurate to what she did, basing a moveset around the general idea of those attacks is very possible and what should have been done. Between floating (or teleporting I guess), dead man's volley and the ground slam you basically have 3 out of 4 of his specials already there.

Hey guys, I was speculating with a friend just a while ago and he thought of a possible escenario for reveals, he was like:

"What if there really are like 4-5 newcomers left (Isaac and all the buddies) and Sakurai's plan is to reveal them all at once in the Direct, just much closer to release so people have a hype overdose, I feel that might be what they actually want".

What do you guys think about this possibility? I personally think he's got a good point that could totally happen.

If the box theory was broken then I think everyone would let out a sigh of relief, aside from maybe one or two people who are too stubborn to realize that it's okay to be wrong sometimes.

I'm conflicted on the new Yoshi costume. On the one hand, Yarn Yoshi was my wild card character of choice for this game (in terms of first-party characters, at least), so it's cool to see Crafted Yoshi actually get into the game! With the disappointing removal of the Woolly World stage, I didn't think it boded too well for my pick to become playable, so it's a nice surprise to see that his successor at least made it into the game nonetheless. On the other hand, I'm pretty disappointed with Crafted World's aesthetics compared to Woolly World: where Woolly World took the fun idea started by Kirby's Epic Yarn and took it to its ultimate point, creating something beautiful, memorable, and adorable, Crafted World takes a significant creative step back to something more in line with the established Yoshi aesthetic, making Yoshi merely fuzzy like felt (and consequentially much closer to his normal appearance) and the world around him largely made of paper (which besides being much less cute and unique than wool is a look already used prominently in Yoshi's Story way back when). Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, it just really leaves something to be desired when compared to the amazing visuals of Yoshi's Woolly World.

But also, before the reveal of Echoes (and to an extent in spite of their existence afterward) I was really hoping that Yarn Yoshi could be the long-time-coming second Yoshi series character, not only representing his game but the aspects of Yoshi not seen in SSB, as well, such as transforming for his attacks (allowing him to be anything from a slightly different clone to a very different character depending on what transformations they wanted to use for his moves) and maybe even getting help from Poochy for an attack of Final Smash (though he could work very well as an Assist Trophy, as well). Making and throwing balls of yarn for his B, turning into an umbrella for his Up-B, his legs becoming a propeller for his second jump, all of the amazing alternate color possibilities with the vast array of patterns present for him in Woolly World, and all while bringing a great, unique aesthetic to the fray in a similar vein as Mr. Game & Watch. I was disappointed when I realized that the Woolly World stage was not in this game, and I am disappointed yet again now to learn that, rather against the odds, the developers favored the upcoming Crafted World over the big-during-development Woolly World when it came to playable characters. Yarn Yoshi could have been an awesome new character, but alas, it would seem that it was not meant to be for Ultimate. Here's hoping that we someday see the return of the yarn aesthetic for new Yoshi games and that our woolly protagonist finally gets his time to shine in Super Smash Bros. then.

Can't talk for most people, but I don't think most would be pissed at the prospect of more potential characters and less hard deconfirmations.
It's not like people want to have their heavily requested characters to be impossible to put in.

I don't think either's going to be deconfirmed, but that doesn't mean I'd hate it if they weren't.

Still on the topic of Ganondorf, let me remind you that aerial Flame Choke is the ground pound he does in Ocarina of Time except he slams the foe down instead of a magic ball that explodes on the floor.

Not to mention that he also does choke holds in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, so that's one move distinctly Ganondorf.

I certainly wouldn't be upset, but you can bet your ass a bunch of people in here would find a problem with Waluigi's sudden inclusion.

The opening segment of this fight in Generations, being for Shadow, have some extra flare. Which is of course based on SA2, so do some bonus SA2 with it as well.

For Tails, have some epic battle in Spirits mode, showing Sonic facing down Robotnik/Eggman, and then after he beats him, he dives down, and...

Tails saves him, and then goes off with him after they high five and jump out.

The SE rep cannot co-exist with the box theory if they are in the base game as you are implying.

I do think that if this box theory turns out to be a load of bull**** we can expect something like that.

The cycle of reveals Smash Ultimate is going through is different from the previous games. We had all the veterans revealed in one day that alone makes speculation different from last time. There was also the huge info dump on 8/8/18 which gave us 5 new characters to look at.

I know people bring up the anti-climatic last reveals of Shulk and Olimar but who's to say this time will be the same? Again looking at how the reveals are handled this time I can easily see 2-3 more newcomers revealed during the last direct,

Oh boy. For me, the final evolution would have to be Dragonite, but... hmmmm... second evolution Volcarona (apparently single evolutions are valid), first evolution Heatran Corsola (in all seriousness, Heatran is my third-favorite Pokémon after Mew and Dragonite, but I don't think putting a Legendary Pokémon in my list would be fair).
