If you are a major game company and you HAVEN'T tried talking to Nintendo about Smash at some point you are either drunk and need to go home or are out of your mind entirely. Just because Bethesda spoke to Nintendo about Smash does not mean anything at all, coming from someone who would love to see Dovahkiin in Smash.

i feel doom guy would make a really good character for smash because doom was like the second fps to ever exist and it helped make the genera!

Up Special - Telekinesis. Slowpoke glows and slowly rises upwards. He can use aerials while floating, but he can't air dadge and will continue floating upwards until he reaches the move's maximum length.

Neutral Special - Heal Pulse. If the target is at <50% health, it does 20% damage. If they are >50% health, it heals 20% damage (5% to allies in doubles).

Side Special - Water Pulse. A mid-range projectile move that flips the target around like Mario's cape.

Did you know what happened when we thought that didn’t matter...

The man didn’t include him because he thought he wouldn’t be unique despite being the protagonist of Fire Emblem’s biggest game and went with Robin. Ever since Brawl, moveset was NOT an afterthought and is an important aspect for why a character gets chosen.

Inkling, Simon, and King K. Rool have playstayles that are unique to them and are in their own archetype. Ridley is a character that has a much more sadistic personality that already stands out from the cast to allow him more guresome looking moves. Isabelle, although a semi-clone, still has unique moves that have her stand out like her fishing rod and Lloyd rocket, not to mention her whole moveset is generally out of the ordinary. Plus, Wii Fit Trainer is very unique in the sense that she uses an erratic moveset.

Sure some characters like Ridley and maybe King K. Rool were chosen since they were popular, but they still have defining traits that are unique to them and them only. The moveset and how a charcater would play IS part of the selection process and why some characters have a higher chance than others. But to say that it isn’t is being oblivious to the one thing Sakurai mentions several times when it comes to the newcomers these days. (Not to say Banjo can’t be unique).

Yeah, Chrom is in Smash now, as an echo.
I’m still happy Chrom is in though, I wanted him.

Depends on whether I enjoy playing them or not. I can play Palutena in 4 despite her low tier/low-mid tier status, because her tools are fun. If they somehow feel worse to play then no.

I'm gonna play whoever I have fun with first and foremost. If Mimikyu got in and was garbage then I would have had to struggle with that but in Smash right now there aren't any characters I am a die hard for so character loyalty isn't much of an issue.

If Palutena feels better than 4 but somehow is bottom tier I'll main her. If Pichu is legit JUST masochist Pikachu then I won't main it. Just depends on the situation I guess. I have hopes that Pichu is more of a semi-clone considering it isn't an Echo and we haven't seen its complete moveset yet.

I HHHHHAAAAATED Pit in Smash 4. Compared to Brawl, where he was good, he was GARB*%CH in Smash 4. Nerfs to everything, kill power was still bad...

I did not stop playing him. SO...every character I intend to play in SSBU, I'm playing in SSBU as if tires don exits.

Jigglypuff is one of the characters I enjoy playing as, and I'll most likely be maining Zelda now that she has a design I actually like.
I don't really care too much about tiers since I don't play the game competitively and just play with my personal favourites regardless of how viable they are in a competetive setting.

I know speculation is boring but my likely final guess until we get more stuff will be assuming verge is always right. I am intentionally going for the most optimsitic result because it's boring going "ken inceneroar" for the 500th time.

Verge said 6 newcomers at least, i'm gonna assume in the most scientific way to define newcomers he meant the number went to 71, as he said this very early on. That means 3 characters, leaving 8 newcomers, mirroring the 8 inital characters of super smash bros 64, not saying this is proof but if it is 8 newcomers it's a neat bookend. He also claimed pokemon that isn't yada yada, Square Enix character 2 and Minecraft appearing in some way (from assist to full character). I will also personally guess that there are no new series in smash and no new stages.

Therefore I'd have to guess:
#69 Inceneroar OR Tapu Koko. Yall know why the tiger could get in. I think people sleep on koko, he never said roar was a lock, and if it ain't the ones verge said ain't in and inceneroar, I would guess Tapu Koko would be the next pokemon in line. The Tapu are closely tied to the identity of alola and therefore sun/moon, and K rool already seems to have taken some wrestling lessons himself, I could seriously see Koko making the cut

#70 Geno OR Bandana Waddle Dee. Square enix rep without new franchise? I could only see Geno, the 3rd party mario character, or Zack as an echo. If it's zack then I think Bandana Waddle dee will slip in as a very popular, easy to implement character.

#71 A massive curveball but not from an new series. Verge has talked about Ken (he seems more confident about ken being an echo than isabelle), Squeenix and a Pokemon, but assuming these are meant to be 6 newcomers, there is one left, have Nintendo kept Banjo and Kazooie or Steve ultra secretly, locked away so no one could ever leak them until the time is right? Probably not, They may add a banjo or Minecraft stage, but I can't see more than a minecraft Assist from what we have heard and can guess. My guess would be this character is not leaked because it's weird enough that the people sending this information around would likely dismiss it as bait and never talk about it. Who could be from a existing series, and weird enough as a newcomer that no one would guess it ever? I would guess a Mother series character, either a non echo Ninten or Porky (Sakurai stated he regrets adding lucas, so I dont expect mother 3).

Echoes i dont really care about, aside from being ultra surprised if ken or shadow fail to make it, and i half expect mega charizard too.

That's probably my ultimatum and a very optimistic count, basing it solely on verge statements because let's be honest, box theory just ain't fun to speculate on.
