Same concept, different function:

I'm going to point out that she swings her broom in an arch for up tilt, so it'll probably have a better hitbox. I'd say it's different in concept. You could argue that it's still a disjointed anti-air but a lot of people's u-tilts are.

I'm guilty to say I was a firm believer of the chairs apparently until Isabelle's reveal. Embarrass

Comes from the barrels, ladder and jungle plants that supposedly hinted at K. Rool.

Now I know there aren't any trends at this point though.

People made a lot of arguments about Isabelle not liking fighting. However, I think if you'll notice closer you'll see she is actually in super smash bros., a game all about characters fighting each other, thereby destroying the argument about Isabelle not liking fighting forever. Aha! Checkmate!

This was very easy to see coming because of visual clues.

On your first point. You can play the whole of The Wonderful 101 on the Gamepad which means it could easily transfer over to Switch.

On your second point, yeah, it bombed but so did basically every game on the Wii U that didn't have Mario in the title and even then it probably didn't live up to the Mario in its name sales wise.

Could you? you need two screens for some sections. Did it just put a small screen in the corner? I never used the WiiU “on the go” for lack of a better term

since we're talking about Isabelle, probably Nintendo's most wholesome character, the tone of the trailer was absolutely great. It was everything calm UNTIL she got the letter and was like "OMG I'M IN SMASH NOW WHAT DO I DO??????" which quickly moved to see her in action.
Making a completely crazy trailer to announce her would make no sense
"but Villager" Villager's trailer in SSB4 was first and foremost to announce the game itself. If Isabelle was revealed in that teaser instead of the Inklings, pretty sure that the trailer would have an edgier tone (I mean the huge ball of fire would already give it)

Plus as stated before, the trailer comboed into an Animal Crossing reveal. Again, making a completely hectic trailer for that would make no sense

I never played Street Fighter but from what I hear isn't Ken literally the original and first Echo Fighter in gaming history?

He started off like that in his original appearance, but became more different as time went on. Now, despite having some of the same special moves, Ryu and Ken play very differently from each other in Street Fighter. They started getting separate moves like Ryu's collarbone breaker in SFII Turbo (I think). The Smash bros. version of Ryu takes from various other games, and I would assume that with Ken, they would work to make something similarly faithful.

Many Echoes have had a different Final Smash, no biggie.

Seeing Ken do the donkey kick wouldn't be out of place, given some of his kick-based supers. He never did it, but it still feels like something Ken could do.

No real need to change the moves that aren't the specials either aside from making him stand out animation-wise. Not to mention different animations is also not a hurdle for Echoes thanks to Dark Samus.

The real problem are the specials, but even then, he'd keep the same ones, except they'd be tweaked a little.

He works fine as an Echo.

I disagree that Ken having Ryu's command normals/unique moves is fitting. I think that whether he ends up classified as an echo fighter or not, most of those moves I mentioned would be changed. Sakurai is a fighting game buff and has taken a lot of care with the 3rd party characters.

Oh, I said it in Nintenzone but I'll say it here. Isabelle's a modern character instead of something to cater to old fans which means they're seemingly trying to balance it which is great and Animal Crossing only having a guy as a default character in the roster is a bit odd when it's Nintendo's most popular IP among women so Isabelle is great there too

I couldn't really tell what Samus' new alt was that replaced Dark Samus. I remember it being dark and having yellow-ish lights. Maybe a reference to Kanden? Or it was a Phazon Suit color and I didn't pay close enough attention.

Pokemon-A little hard to choose, but perhaps Black and White/2 or Heartgold and Soulsilver. I love them all though.

I think he sprinkles truths with some lies/speculation.

He definitely knows stuff but mixes them up with actual guesses is what I'm getting at.

It's gonna make GX predictions kinda annoying tbh, will probably be skipping them from now on.
