I never got on the Skull Kid train to begin with. I personally believe the en mass Skull Kid support didn't occur until someone thought chairs was a good reason to say he's in. He's just up there because of him being MIA. I mean, it could be Devil who became playable for ****'s sake.

Yes, like Isabelle, Shadow and Isaac, their AT's are missing from the game as it stands. Isaac is on the lower side, since his wasn't in 4, but we'll see. Shadow i feel is in the same spot as Isabelle and Skull Kid. They were Smash 4 AT's and clearly popular characters.

On top of this the following supports Skull Kid:

- Young Link's final smash is hidden (Possibly MM related)/ Similar to how Robin's was hidden for obvious reasons
- Young Link's alternate costumes are hidden (Possibly MM related)
- The moon AT took over SK's MM represenation
- A new item does Skull Kid's AT move
- Termina is back
- MM has new remixed music
- Isabelle is in the game, as unique character at that, which means that AT's are still being promoted to fighters like Little Mac was. Additionally Isabelle has an AT replacement, just like the Moon replaces Skull kid (similarly, how Knuckles may be replacing Shadow)

So I call this one, compromise. Because I'm mostly basing it off of Verg's predictions, but with some liberties such as Decideueye and adding BWD, Impa and Shadow because I think they are all too likely.

I don't believe some anon about Dante just because they said Isabelle would be in the direct. Yeah not buying it.
Also I have no idea why Ken would be uniqe/semi-clone instead of Chun-Li/literally anyone else. Like Isabelle makes sense to get in, but Ken was only being predicted because he is an iconic echo. Why would Sakurai not go with that? And why would Verg know of only one echo out of all the echoes?

Somethings fishy...but for now this is my prediction. Hopefully can squeeze Skull Kid and Dixie in there too...

Dante "rumor" was a complete lucky guess. Anyone can guess a character and be lucky. Posting a rumor with it doesn't make it any less credible. Yes, we can't ignore it. But don't take it as gospel.

I personally would welcome Lara Croft into the roster if she's the second SE rep. The only question remains is would they go with the classic or reboot version? Maybe a mixture of both perhaps or maybe one of them will be an costume.

Not sure what the overall reactions are...I skipped to the last page here.

Honestly, if anybody is counting out Verge just because Isabelle isn’t an echo I think that’s a mistake. She clearly borrows quite a bit from Villager in a multitude of her moves, but overall she still looks like she’ll be a lot of fun.

That fishing line tether grab looks hilarious lol.

I think we can still expect Incineroar and Ken, but I still have to wonder...who else will be in?

You know, that screenshot of Isabelle using the stop sign I think has convinced me of what it is. It's her up smash! You see the little spark for releasing a smash there. Assuming the whole sign is a hitbox and it's reasonably powerful, it could definitely be one of her better moves. It reminds me a lot of Palutena's usmash, and while comparing moves to Palutena moves would usually be a way to say the moves suck, usmash was one of Palutena's few truly good moves so that could be really nice especially if she's a more "pesky" character since a high power huge anti-air could come out in a lot of smart read situations on someone with those kinds of dynamics.

If you're basing this of off VeggieTales, you can't have Decidueye. Larry said no Lycanroc, Decidueye, or Mimikyu.

I don't think he's in because Nintendo's Bayonetta doesn't want to compete with DMC on the switch if it gets a port.
Regardless Vegetable seems to be probably right and Loz18 basically commited internet suicide by shutting down everything.
It seems that the most interesting characters are already revealed and there will be new info probably in October. I don't think Isabelle deconfirms any other character.

Definitely gotta go with the classic look, as much as I love new lara too she's not nearly as iconic, a costume also doesn't really work because of how different they are in terms of abilities.

Fair point. I just thought so since they're technically the same character.

Being probably the most iconic video game female protagonist also probably helps too in her being an worthy inclusion to Smash. Smash could have her and PSASBR had Nathan. Win-win.
