Like, I'm inclined to believe Rival Schools is Mother 3-equivalent to all the fighting games out there. So much potential, yet so badly thrown away before it got to flourish. My poor, nostalgic childhood...

If you were to ask what'd make this Smash truly become Ultimate in my eyes... just include Batsu Ichimonji.

Why are people bringing up Etika in the first place? Only thing he's really known for is his reactions which is why ZeRo, Nairo and others who were discussing Smash Ultimate modes and potential rules just paused and said okay????when the chat wanted Etika (he never was added). Etika is overrated and I see little merit in discussing overreactions. I'd rather watch someone who's more knowledgeable react. I will never understand casuals.

People shouldn't expect more than one newcomer in a single trailer, much less cross-series ones. Only Lucina and Richter show up in the same trailer as another character and they're Echoes from the same series.

I'm not banking 100% on it but it's hard to ignore how much she's taken over the franchise

Yeah, I know that. She’s pretty big, and is probably what would help her in the long run if she’s an echo.

The only thing I really have against her is the fact that there are probably a lot of other more obvious echoes I think the team may have decided with before settling on her. She lacks having similar proportions to the current Villager that might cause the team to overlook her, when you see the other echoes, most of them have very similar or the same proportions with the exception of Lucina, however Lucina’s are barely noticeable.

This is also carried over to some of the other likely mentioned echoes where Ken, Felix, and Shadow have the same frame as their counterparts. So they might’ve been realized much more sooner than Isabelle, not to mention that she also has an assist trophy role that the team might be fine with.

Although I wouldn’t say lacking the same proportions is going indefinitely keep someone out from being an echo, it definitely helps as it can be caught by Sakurai a lot more sooner. All of the echoes show this.

This and the fact that I doubt that they would make her a unique newcomer since she doesn’t really do much to pull an interesting moveset from.

Yeah, reactions that aren't staged/are impossible to stage are the best ones. It's why I've never really understood the appeal of Etika. I've never seen any of his stuff, but fake screaming and breaking stuff isn't endearing IMO.

Yeah, I think there are more different reasons for why Isabelle might not make it in. She may keep her AT role which is pacifist, but it’s most likely due to them just keeping her that way since they just didn’t make her an echo.
