It's still pretty early in Japan by the way, I don't really expect an announcement but I wouldn't rule it out yet.

It's almost 10 am Monday morning, and this Direct would be the marketing team's most high priority task. They've probably been in since 7.30-8am and I think they'll be going through final approval. Personally, I think we'll here something in the next couple of hours.

But the Smash 4 Corocoro scans were about a month away, pretty much a press release like a launch trailer. We still have until December and CoroCoro has never talked about anything Direct related that isn't Pokemon. It always has been either the main games or spin off Pokemon games, with some features of other games to get them ready for launch.
