I wouldn't care if the roster gets leak besides smash ultimate has been predictable dont see the big deal.

Sakurai is purposely hinting newcomer he is a troll we all know that.

Smash Ultimate is coming out 4 half months.

Ultimate was anything but predictable so far, barely anyone predicted "Everyone is Here!".
Ridley was a massive surprise since Sakurai himself said he won't happen after he said he's too big.
Nobody would've guessed Simon if it wasn't for Vergeben.
King K. Rool was just a total surprise for many, there wasn't a reason to think that many fan-favorites would get, Ridley could've been an exception.
And anyone who said Daisy, Dark Samus or Chrom would be in before Echo Fighters were announced would've been laughed at.

Unless all other newcomers are ballot picks, the rest of the roster will be very unpredictable as well.
It seems likely Sakurai is hinting at newcomers, but that's not 100% certain.
Also it comes out in a little more than 3 months, not 4.

Geno only seems predictable now because we've had two characters we'd long given up realistic hope for get in.

Does Nintendo own the music from SMRPG? If not then I can see Mario's music being held back for Geno, they'll definitely want to put a 3rd party song up on the site over a standard song from the series.

Beyond that I don't think the music thing is an indication of much, I agree that we'll only see one track per franchise like on the Brawl Dojo, but I don't think Sakurai would show his cards in such an obvious way. The possible newcomers would also be really limited if we follow the theory, would be difficult to see anything other than Geno, a Gen 7 Pokémon, Elma, Isaac and Chorus Men, and there's still a real chance one or more of those could have a song from their series posted between now and before they'd hypothetically be revealed.

It depend how well Sakurai is able to convey Incineroar personality.

If he is able to reach the level of King.K.Rool & Ridley with Incineroar, I be really excited. If he is fun AND true to it's character, I be hype as hell. If he is fun but doesn't act like a wrestler, I will find it weird since Incineroar show alot of personality in his attack in the game, but if he is fun, I let it slide.

In other words, It really depend of the final result for me.

Unsurprising, but not enthused. In a limited roster, we don't need a Pokemon for the sake of a Pokemon--if we treat returning veterans as "newcomers", Pokemon Trainer fills that niche. My hope is that if Sakurai decides to use a Gen 7 Pokemon, it'll be surprising and works so well in hindsight. I don't see that for Incineroar, or any Pokemon being talked about outside of Lycanroc. But I'm less familiar with Gen 7, so I defer to the fans. But in a limited roster, I would much rather have unique newcomers coming from unrepresented series, like Isaac--I know as I make my prediction roster, trying to include Incineroar keeps making me have to remove more interesting characters.

Definitely not salty or anything. I do want a different rep but every Pokemon rep has something unique about them and the character definitely fits smash. But after having that slot out of the way I want to know the rest already lol

It's very possible why those stages are missing in the first place tbh. I could actually see some of them associated with new DLC characters

I like Incineroar as a Pokemon...but as a Smash Choice, I'd be a little disappointed. I mean, if he's cool looking and his abilities look nice, I'll probably be fine with it, but I feel like there are much better choices. Our only Legendary Pokemon rep is Mewtwo and this gen gave us a ton of fake legends in the Ultra Beasts and real legends that could easily work as characters; like the island Deities and Necrozma.

I'd much rather have one of the Tapus, Ultra Beasts, or Necrozma as the Gen 7 rep. I think my only hope for that is that a list of pokemon designs was given during early development to Sakurai and he just picked based on what looked cool to him (like Greninja). If he does that, I feel like it could be Incineraoar, Lycanroc (Midnight), Golisopod, Tapu Koko, Buzzwole, Pheramosa, Kartana, Xurkitree, or Necrozma. I get the feeling that those in particular would stick out to him and he'd choose one of them. Decidueye would too, but with it being in Pokken, I feel like he wouldn't like to double-dip (per se) and use a character already in another Nintendo Fighter; especially with it being relatively new.

EDIT: Oh! I could also see him going Alolan Raichu to complete the holy Trinity of Pikachu family since it represents a new feature of Gen 7 (Alola variants) and and the final evolution to Pikachu. The trailer practicaly writes itself. Pichu is facing some powerful foes, but is beaten down. Pikachu steps in confidently and protects him, fighting them off, but then an even more threatening foe appears. Pikachu is weak; looks done for, but suddenly...

Anyway, Incineroar would be cool. A character from a recent, great game and designed to fight. Not my favourite starter and we already got quite a bit heavy characters but still would be exciting.

Being my chosen starter, I would be interested depending on the approach, but I feel the arrow owl (I can't spell his name) seems more fitting and popular, not to mention it could be a proper ranged Pokemon as opposed to the others.

Glad that we got the pokemon reveal out of the way so we can focus on the really juicy stuff. No offense to the people who are super into getting a Pokemon newcomer, but it's just the most obvious franchise for a newcomer so there's not much to look forward to there for me.

Given that, we need a grass or fire. So icinaroar would work.

You can add up to 4 new characters, literally anyone you want that has appeared in a video game before (yes, even shrek or Goku, but preferably from a Nintendo console game or handheld), but you have to axe a character from each previous SSB game.

To get your first character, you must remove someone from Smash for Wii U/3DS. That character will also no longer appear in Ultimate so choose carefully!! To get your second character, you now also have to remove a character from Brawl (and they wouldn't appear in any future games, including Ultimate!). To get your third character, go back to Melee, and if you want that final character you need to axe an original 12.

1. Add Ryu Hayabusa. Remove Lucina.
2. Add Charizard. Remove Pokemon Trainer.
3. Add Bill Rizer/Lance Bean. Remove Pichu.
4. Pass.
