Alright, I'll give my honest opinions.Can I ask for an explanation as to why? Simply curious. Totally your opinion, I'd just like to hear another point of view, that's all.
From what I see, they just add a few more neat, well-liked characters and gameplay opportunities.

I feel like is completely meritless. Maybe he was semi-popular in the one game he was in, but that shouldn't warrant more than a palette swap. I also feel is completely meritless. After all, the whole reason he was added to Smash was as a joke character.
Fire Emblem having seven characters is ridiculous, especially since four of them have roughly the same moveset. And maybe Awakening revived the franchise, but it's no excuse to have all three of its main characters playable.
is also meritless to me. He may have affected the Castlevania series, but that doesn't really count for anything here. At least someone like Shadow is well known, even among non-Sonic fans, and reasonably popular.
