People really exaggerate Fire Emblem's popularity. For years it merely sold well enough to get new games and the one time they didn't bring a game over it nearly killed the series. The fact people think FE having 8 reps is fine while also being content with a single Xenoblade rep never ceases to baffle me.

It is fine. Fire Emblem as a series has loads of potential characters. We've had Fire Emblem representation since Melee. Xenoblade JUST go its first newcomer last game. I think it's pretty certain Xenoblade will get another character at some point in this game's lifespan.

The demo was really substantial and was shown like 6 months before actual launch. I can't say for sure there will be no demo update, but it would be my guess. It's also honestly my preference because I don't want people who are getting to play all of this to get too much of an advantage...

Worst thing about Splatoon is that you have to watch a long ass cutscene everytime you want to play the game. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to add an unskippable cutscene everytime you load a MULTPLAYER shooter made for Online play. Like why? This comment was very random. To be fair, Fire Emblem has more than 12 games whereas Xenoblade Chronicles has 3 games.

FE3 - New Mystery of the Emblem (and Shadow Dragon remastered)
FE4 - Genealogy of the Holy War
FE5 - Tharcia 776
FE6 - Binding Blade
FE7 - Blazing Blade
FE8 - Sacred Stones
FE9 - Path of Radiance
FE10 - Radiant Dawn
FE11 - Shadow Dragon remake
FE12 - New Mystery of the Emblem remake
FE13 - Awakening

JC has stated that a ton of things has already changed since the demo. At one point Ridley F-Tilt was safe on shield and Snake C4 spiked?/something spiked other than his F-Tilt in one build.

My biggest hope is they add a touch more hitstun in the game. What's yours?

Well, when we say 'new demo', nobody knows what that entails. Does it entail new characters? new stages? new items/assist trophies? or even just new balance updates?

It's a hard say right now. Honestly, I think we'll get nothing but new balance updates on each of these demo's but we'll see.

1) Nintendo themselves said that Fire Emblem is now one of their top series. Awakening did more then save the series, it's essentially it's Final Fantasy VII..it gave it unprecedented popularity worldwide.

2) You say this like most people aren't requesting/wanting Rex & Pyra to appear..most here just know they are more likely as DLC due to timeframes..and Elma most not be very hype for most people (I dunno, I only played 1 & 2). It's also a new series, so there's that.

Just wanna say, before anyone ups and starts denouncing Loz18 for his leaks (so far Skull Kid and Isaac and some cryptic stuff he's doing now), please remember ChaosZero. He was practically worse in every way and yet was proven to be a credible leaker in the end. ChaosZero also provided zero proof in any of his leaks. The only proof was that he was right in the end.

Leakers do not have to be professional. They can actually be asshats and trolls. It's very possible we already saw the leaked roster and we don't know it yet.

You can be skeptical of Loz as much as you want, but we clearly shouldn't dismiss him yet. Just my 2 cents on the matter

So “more than 12 games” is still correct.

Makes sense why Fire Emblem Awakening has 3 characters.

There is also BSFE which is a side story set of chapters for FE3, which some consider it's own numbered game depending who you ask.

Those chapters would be added in as bonuses in FE12.
