I’m honestly a bit skeptical that Young Link will have a Majora’s Mask-related Final Smash when Sakurai strangely chose to forgo any of the visual changes Majora’s Mask made to the character.

I foresee another Triforce Slash in the future.

I'm not an expert on Zelda so how so? He still uses the bow and boomerang after all

I would prefer the moon be his fs, too, but it doesn’t make him less likely to me.

There's a problem with combining the moon and that tbh. Build up. You just dropped the ****ing MOON on people, any attack with Majora's forms afterwards is going to look boring by default because it came after that. Unless of course, Majora's Wrath attacks and THEN the moon gets dropped. Sure, it's not exactly how it happened but that'd fix the issue

Ganon is to Ganondorf as The Moon is to Skull Kid.

I'm not pissing on Majora, but the two most iconic imagery of Majora's Mask is the Mask itself, and the face on the Moon.


I don't believe that The Moon can't be an AT and FS, but work differently, but if Skull Kid's in, I'd want The Moon to be his FS.


Imagine if Ganonondorf's FS had been summoning the ghost riders from Twilight Princess, it's nowhere near as iconic as Pig Ganon.

I disagree. A lot of people love the Majora fight and it is one of the most unique villains. Not to mention the soundtrack of when you fight him. Easily one of the most memorable moments in the game. Yes the moon is also special but there can be more than one spot for that title.

Honestly, I don't even know, since the Skull Kid assist trophy didn't even DO anything that he did in Majora's Mask.

To be frank, the Skull Kid AT was one of the worst ATs in 4 since it didn't represent the character well at all.


And as for being seperate?


Well if he's playable that would explain why.

I just suck at writting down ideas. Just add some Sakurai's genius powder on it and he will do it better and make it look awesome. lol. And there are so many things in the Majora's boss fight that can be added as well… like a combo attack with majora's wrath whips while at the same time the 4 floating masks (from the dungeon bosses) shoots you down with lasers, etc… There's literally a lot Sakurai can pick from to make something CRAZY, flashy and quick, as final smashes are now.

This sentence explains why Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda and one of my favorite games ever, tied with MGS4 for first, actually. It's just so ****ing weird and so ****ing good. I actually love the idea of Skull Kid but I refuse to get my hopes up for him.

Actually it does represent Skull Kid well, under Majora's control, he pulled many pranks which had devastating effects to everyone in Termina. In 4, he would 'prank' players that would make it inconvenient for everyone. It sure as **** ain't the moon, but it fits

I mean… I've been hearing this theory about the lack of MK news or game at all lately… that we could probably get a Sub-Zero on Smash. But of course it's just a theory or people's wishful thinking. I would be in for it tho, Sub-Zero is definitely the MK icon Smash could get imo, without being gory.

Didn't you say in one of your videos that you believe Vergeben more than loz18? Maybe I'm wrong, but the reason I ask is because they have a few disagreements on certain potential characters

i dont know if i said exactly that or not but id agree and say i tend to go with verge over loz18 but i do think they are both legit.

verge just seems more trustable to me or maybe thats not the right word exactly... verge seems to say his "leaks" clearly and talks about his separate sources and if hes sure of something or if hes unsure of soemthing... loz18 purposely made his account hard to follow and posts his own speculation a lot, sometimes a bit unclearly among what hes leaking, some of the original stuff in his leak was a bit fuzzy and seemed to be assumptions among real info (again i think hes real just the way he leaks is a bit unhelpful sometimes).

so while i believe both of them, verge seems cautious and used to leaking info (as hes done it before and felt the backlash) and lok18 seems a bit more all over the place about how he does things, i dunno just my opinion i dont think it makes ones info more real over the others.

for an example: verge said the source of isabelle is the same as his source for simon, so i find that highly credible. lok18 made it hard to tell if his leaker deconfirmed isabelle, if they just told him they hadnt seen isabelle, or if he just personally doesnt think isabelle will happen of his own speculation. the truth is lok18 is saying no isabelle as a bit of a combo of the last two but no solid deconfirmation such as a source seeing isabelle as an assist trophy or something, is just loz18 hasnt heard isabelle and has decided to guess for himself she isnt in.

so yeah i just find verge a bit better about that sort of thing. i still believe lok18 saying skull kid probly means we will get skull kid, so again i think they are both to some extent getting real info.

I always thought the Moon was an AT because it’s the FRICKEN MOON, the most iconic part about Majora’s Mask was about the creepy Moon that is set to destroy parts of the world that is so memorable and memes by so many people that Sakurai just wanted acknowledge that by having it do a similar things as an AT.

Plus, we can still have the Moon as an AT and part of a FS, look at Riki.

None of the items Young Link uses are the Majora’s Mask versions, not even his sword or shield. The Young Link in both Melee and Ultimate are 100% Ocarina Young Link besides the fact that he uses the Bow and Hookshot. Majora’s Mask doesn’t even have a boomerang in it, but the Razor Sword and Hero’s/Mirror Shield from MM are really iconic, as well as the unique Gerudo Hookshot that’s golden and much more vicious looking than the OoT one. His Bow is cooler-looking too but it’s less immediately noticeable.

If one or two of those changes were present I’d think otherwise, but YL is pretty much directly ported from Melee (which I’m sure was the point).

I think Ed Boon has played with people on Twitter about Mortal Kombat in Smash. Even Max and Simon thought Sub Zero would be shown at E3.

I think my doubts for Skull Kid rose higher since someone caught up to him soon after he said about it.

Something fishy is definitely going on with loz18 but there's really not enough info to say whether or not it raises or lowers Skull Kid's chances. It's quite possible that it was fake information created to rat out leakers, but it's also quite possible that it was legitimate information that ended up giving away the identity of loz18's source.

Personally, I still believe it was mentioning his source telling him about cutscene scripts that gave it away. That just made it to easy for Nintendo to find his source imo.
