The thing about Vergeben is that all his leaked characters so far were leaked by someone else before he made claim to that characters inclusion. Leakers such as stealth dont get enough recognition.

If Verge can be the first to leak a character and it come true then i'd take him serious.

But as of now, he just seems to be leak stealing and taking credit for it. Stealth leaks belmont and emily rogers said no cuts before he did...

Emolga's difference from Pichu is that he doesn't damage himself and can float like Peach, however his electric attacks are slightly weaker to compensate.

I had forgotten about the Credits Minigame as well, until I played Smash 4 again a few weeks ago.

I was like "Oh yeah, this was a thing, wasn't it?"

One of the best things about the credits minigame in Smash 4 was playing as Olimar and using a Yellow Pikmin aerial on the words.

For those that don't know, doing this causes the hitlag on the aerial to last like, 5 seconds, and Olimar gets stuck in the air, completely still.

good point. I think Tom Nook is even more iconic for the series than Isabelle. So if Isabelle's not the 2nd rep, it almost certainly has to be Tom Nook (or there's no 2nd rep at all)

Dunno if I'm a "doubter," per se, but it would be nice for those who have wanted him for so long. Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game and one of my favorite games period, but I've never really understood the hype for Skull Kid in Smash. I imagine he would be tons of fun to play as, though.

That's possible. They could make Isabelle a unique fighter and the neighbor's echoes of Isabelle or Villager. I didn't really consider the neighbors. But if any Animal Crossing character gets in it's gonna be Isabelle before the neighbors, and I still believe she's pretty much guaranteed at this point

They could give her the Olimar and Alph treatment where she's titled Isabelle and her alts are titled Neighbor

Daisy a pick every year my balls, the only delusional who would think Daisy was a possible pick every year was that memoryman guy, and Verg didn't even mention Daisy. He said IC coming back, Ridley, Simon, Snake coming back and no cuts.
At the end of the day, he was RIGHT with the no cuts scenario, it turned out that every freaking character in Smash history was coming back? so what, he's point stands. And don't even bring me the "no cuts was a safe scenario" because everyone and their mother was expecting a few cuts here and there.
Also he got mention and confirmation on Snake, he doubled down on Snake. Was Snake coming back a safe prediction? In any way.

So he didn't predict Richter, so what? I don't think his sources would tell him or even know absolutely every single thing. Now we are gonna base the potential legitimacy of a leak on a surprise character that almost no one expected?

And this is the game tailored for fans so that's why those so called "safe picks" are in, but.. we DIDN'T KNOW **** about this game back then, we didn't know if it was going to be a full fanservice game or yet another Smash with a few cuts here and there and your crazy Sakurai picks. So what you're telling me that now, after we've seen the game, it suddenly became obvious that is normal that those characters are in because this entry is tailored for fans. AFTER all of that.
The only thing I see here is your typical stab in the back of a seemingly legitimate leaker because he didn't have a little detail mentioned, or because something NO ONE expected suddenly becomes an "obvious thing" AFTER it happens.

Who knows, maybe you're right and he's full of it, and also let me tell you I'm not telling you that you should believe him because my balls say so, but please, don't bring me those super conveniently made up arguments against him because it just screams hipocrisy and self-convenience, so to speak.

These are people who only leak things for the purpose of getting attention, he was throwing out an outlandish prediction, but as it turned out, even his own outlandish prediction wasn't as crazy as what really transpired.

Well... yes. That's exactly what we're gonna do. If anything, if a leak does predict a surprise character, that proves its legitimacy, so the fact he went for relatively safe guesses rather than telling us about a surprise character brings his legitimacy into question.

I'm not at all saying that it was obvious this game was made to cater to fans before E3, you're misunderstanding me. I'm saying he made a typical out-landish far-fetched prediction, and just this once it turned out to be true - because Sakurai is making a game more tailored to fans than ever before - and since then he's been riding off his own coat-tails, because he got lucky with the things he said being right.

What it all comes down to is the way he words these things, or the things he doesn't tell us. The fact he said "no cuts" rather than "everyone is coming back", or the fact he missed Richter, or the fact he refuses to say which "Gen 7 pokemon" it is despite saying he knows are all very suspect and prove to me that he's chatting out of his arse.

Must say I am surprised nobody tried to calculate the amount of music we have versus what could be left.

He mentioned over 800 songs for stages: and we saw the number of songs a few series will get and that number excludes menu themes and fanfare. Not to mention the songs we heard for the E3 build, on the website, and what logically would be on a few stages due to prior precedence.

If we have a good number of songs unrevealed, that could hint at new franchises being represented perhaps.

Tom Nook and Isabelle sure would both be neat additions to the roster. Still I have to say the only possible newcomers that could get me excited in the next direct (besides Storymode being delivered with awesome cutscenes like Subspace) would be Dillon (who has yet to be shown in any form), Dixie Kong (especially if she gets an original moveset and is not an echo) and as there could very well be another 3rd party character, Conker, Banjo&Kazooie or Rayman would definitely be hype. As brutal as the last reveal trailers were, I could see Conker running around with a chainsaw.

Jokes aside, most of my listed characters are not that likely and I'm ok with that. I got Wolf and while I'm not sure I like Chrom's moveset, I like him being in the game. As long as the storymode doesn't disappoint, I could live with every other addition to the roster.

I thought about this, but idk who they'll go around to choose which Neighbors to use. There's just so many that many people would end up with 8 or more Neighbors they'd never seen, even if they played AC for years.
Fang and Cube are my favorites and I'd be sad if they didn't make it. They face 300+ potential competitors. There's so many that it'll be hard to even remember all your past neighbors in the different games. I remember those two, Roscoe, Wolfgang, Cyrano, Felicity, Lucky, Samson (ugh, I hated him as a kid), the cool cat that loved Japanese stuff that I forgot his name, and probably another handful out of 300+

Some of them would have to be resized to share a body type, but it technically works. Who would be chosen though? Coco is a must, as is at least one of the 5 superhero villagers, and Rosie.

Assuming every new franchise or established franchise to Smash gets as much love as Castlevania did when it comes to music, then I say at least 1,000 tracks, and maybe even 1,100 if he goes overboard!

But he hasn't gotten anything wrong yet, has he? All the other leakers have gotten at least one thing wrong. True, he's been playing it safe with his prediction, but one thing he has is 100% accuracy, which no one else seems to have.

Skull Kid is not even close to my first choice for a Zelda character, but I need Zelda characters so bad that I'd take anything like a rabid, starving dog.
I'd prefer Tingle to rep the zany side of the franchise, but Skull Kid representing the "darker side" is fine by me.

Animal Crossing honestly isn't my cup of tea because it made me realize I don't really enjoy life sims. That being said, my perfect Animal Crossing roster would be...

Villager - uses the various tools and abilities the player can use in their town (veteran)
Isabelle - fights by creating Public Works Projects and enacting Ordinances, terraforming the stage in the process by "customizing the town." Also has cutesy accidental attacks,
Blathers - Fights by summoning hordes of fish and insects, and can reanimate fossils to fight for him in his specials.

As long as I get my most wanted. I could care less. I just hope that this doesn’t make everyone look at every single damn little thing and say it’s a hint.

I mean when I first watched the direct, Sakurai’s eyes were that, red, and I didn’t put much thought into it. It could reference Bloody Tears, but not King K. Rool. Same thing with the whole furniture fiasco, I saw the ladder rope and barrell, but I didn’t take it as a hint since it didn’t resemble anything for King K. Rool.

I think we should calm down a bit and not get ahead of ourselves, we have 3 months left and we can get something that goes against what we thought. I mean I still had Simon and King K. Rool in my predictions along with Elma and after seeing the reveals, it didn’t change my perspective since it went along with my prediction, but everyone else just assumed BALLOT ONLY when most people already assumed the ballot had a large role along with the recent characters and had Simon and King K. Rool likley to be revealed.

Skull Kid would open the doors for side characters and one-offs in Zelda which would be pretty cool. Ganon's still my first choice for a Zelda newcomer, but now that "Zelda newcomer" is the new "DK newcomer" among Smash fans, it would be cool to see them get thrown a bone.
