Haha yeah, such a good decision of Sakurai to try and show us all the fighters before release - we’d get them through some leak anyway like every time, so it’s much better to get it all via official sources.

I think the next direct, whatever it may be, is at least not going to be Smash focused. There was already outrage over the fact that E3 was primarily Smash focused and then we got the one on 8/8 right after so November is a good guess for a final Smash-centric presentation. Probably right around the 22nd or so. More than likely we'll get a normal direct around October which may announce another character at the end.

Another thing to consider: loz18's first language is Spanish, so please do not take all of his word choices too literally. He's a great English speaker, but there's still chance for misinterpretations.

I thought Stealth leaked Snake? Either way, It's not a stretch to think two leakers got the same info.

I'm not saying Verge is 100% legit (as I stated in my last post about him, I think the Pokemon stuff is a little silly) but I will say he has gotten some things right, and he has just as much supposed credibility as any other leaker like Loz, Stealth, or even Emily Rogers. They get stuff right, and they get stuff wrong; no leaker is 100% correct unless the leaker is straight from people involved with the game, such as 3DS' ESRB leak.

All in all, it's good to be skeptical of these things, as the odds of these leakers being 100% correct with zero incorrect guesses is very slim unless their source goes deep in the dev team and is intentionally leaked by Nintendo themselves for marketing. Just my opinion, though.

Alright checked. The full leak predicts K. Rool, Dark Samus, and Richter. Among these guys is Gardevoir, and Gothitelle with her as an echo.

He guessed Richter, which is pretty much his only credibility at this point. Also, the internal romanizations of the supposed datamine were inconsistent with every other Smash game's.

But is he implying that the only Nintendo Direct forthcoming is November, or is that the next Smash direct? If the latter, I think that’s what everyone is expecting in the first place. There’ll likely be a general direct for the online service early-mid september, most likely with a dropped character who has general popularity or is recent. Then a pre-release infodump with the rest of the characters and info on the other mode.

No, but the fact that he predicted one and I would say two unorthodox picks in D.Samus and Richter, plus K.Rool (all three of which were revealed together) is simply put what sparked the conversation.

Which sparked the convo if it Gothitelle even deserves the spot in the first place. I say no, but that's just me

I've been thinking this ever since I heard about Nintendo Online's service starting at some point in September. Haha.
It's likely they may have a direct for it. It's also likely that, if they have that direct, they will be talking about games with online connectivity. It would be a good time to announce a highly anticipated game with online connectivity- Animal Crossing. The reveal would also be a good time to slip a little Smash flavor on top of it. It's something I can definitely see happening.

But it kinda hinges on them actually having a direct for the online service. I wonder.

Guys, not to be or seem rude, but why are peoples suddenly talking about this 'Gothitelle' leak? What or who is he or she? And why is it suddenly surfacing up? First peoples were talking about Simon and this story mode, but then like a minute or so later, they are talking about this thing.

I'm just confused, that's all. It was like a sudden shift.

But I feel people are really really underconsidering gardevoir

It's a popular gen 3 Pokémon, it survived the onslaught twice (not found), the ballot surverly has fans saying "to present for gen 3 or 5"

As for gothiette to get the gen 5 space filled as well and the term "everyone is here" comes to mind
And there's another factor nobody Is considering I just realized we usually get a WTF character added to smash bros game I think gothiette fits the bill easily

People have been guessing Dark Samus since Echo Fighters were revealed and Samus lost her Dark Samus alt.

Well my idea leaned heavily on the idea of an Animal Crossing Direct, which I could totally see happening. They did say they were holding back some titles during E3, and I feel like Animal Crossing would get its own spotlight, similar to Splatoon 2 earlier this year (which also had Smash information to end it off).

I'm a simple potato. I see Isabelle, I like. Really though, I had similar thoughts about a trailer for Isabelle. She's working in the office, Villager sees a letter on the ground outside, he picks it up, reads the name on it (without letting us see the name), goes in the office, and hands it to Isabelle. And of course, it has the Smash logo on it.

Ok I feel like I've talked enough about this and everyone's sick of me complaining, but that's absolutely not how the WTF character works. The WTF characters have always been characters no one could predict but once they were revealed made so much sense.
Mr. Game & Watch? Wild, but an iconic part of Nintendo History.
Rob? First non-videogame character, but Same.
Wii Fit & Duck Hunt? Not characters most people thought of (at least seriously) but Duck Hunt was huge and Wii Fit, and the Wii genre was big for Nintendo so of course.

Gothitelle?...yeah no. It has the wtf factor, but not the ahhhh factor afterwards. Years from now people wouldn't look back and say "of course, Gothitelle" like they do for every past WTF character.

Seriously Gothitelle doesn't even have anime/merchandise promotion on its side like Jigglypuff did. It's a Pokemon from almost a decade ago, with no recent resurgence. It makes no sense.

Edit: I'm really sorry to go off on this everytime it's brought up, but I just can't be looked at in the face (or as much as you can online) and be told "Oh yeah, Gothitelle in Smash makes sense". I just can't not have a reaction to that. Why? Because my girl Jynx is superior and how dare she be left out.

To be honest a leaker managing to guess Richter doesn't MEAN that Gothitelle or Gardevoir is 100% in. Also, what would the good moveset for these two be? Each time I try to think of moveset, it always ends up with them being Zelda echoes.

If it wasn't for her trophy being removed due to rating issues, Tharja would probably be the one of the most likely characters to replace Chrom in Robin's Final Smash.

Tails, I'm not sure how to break to you as Sonic's friend, but Tharja is not going to be in the game as a Stalker. She was cut from Smash 4 due to her appearance being too revealing.

Probably the only two characters that I'd actively be angry about. Especially Camilla. She represents all the worst parts of Fate's writing.

But regardless, I doubt we'll ever get a side character in Smash when there's so many protagonists left who are trying to squeeze their way in.
