If it's like all the other Smash directs in the past, at least 20 minutes which is pretty crazy in this case because we already know all the veterans and easily like 80% of the stages. Sakurai also already covered the new mechanics in the E3 one so he'd have to go above and beyond to be stally for this Direct.

My guesses: at least two new characters, another half dozen new assist trophies, and probably 4 or 5 new stages including Mario Odyssey.

I'm not sure, but with a Direct it could be 10-15 minutes, either way I'm NOT ready. Last direct shot my most wanted out of the air like flies. Who knows who and how many disconfirms we'll get now.

But I gotta stay calm. I predicting Elma, Ashley, Gen 7 Pokémon, Isabelle and/or finally Amaterasu (pls). It may be a day before Okami hits the Switch, but it's still around a reasonable time for her to possibly be revealed. The stars are aligning, but Wednesday we'll see if they actually mean anything.

Ammy or no Ammy there's always DLC, we'll still get a newcomer (hopefully) and info, and Okami will be released the day after, so I'll be happy regardless of the results. Till then, I'm crossing my fingers, and hoping for both Elma, and Ammy.

My predictions for non-echo newcomers (one of the below will be confirmed probably):

Ashley: WarioWare Gold was released a week ago. A confirmation would be a good way to keep sales going.

Elma: According to datamines of Xenoblade 2, Elma is going to make an appearance as a rare blade before the big expansion for Xenoblade 2 drops in September. A good time to confirm Elma, assuming she is in, would be this Direct.

A Pokemon newcomer: It is possible Vergeben's source got a look at the upcoming direct, and saw it was a Pokemon newcomer (probably Incineroar).

Echo newcomers (one of the two, possibly both):

Isabelle: It is again possible that Vergeben's source got a look at the upcoming Direct and saw this.

Chrom: I can easily see Sakurai showing off Robin's new Final Smash, and then remarking, "Hey where is Chrom." *Chrom is then shown off as a fighter. "Oh looks like he did get his chance another day. Chrom joins the battle as an echo of Ike."

Okay but real talk. If it's a similar situation to E3 some people might be able to get their hands on the direct before everyone else and leak it to 4chan or GameFAQs. So we should keep an eye out for those (or don't if you want to avoid that sorta thing)

I got this information from an anonymous source.

Don't know if they'll show this on a Smash focused direct or on a normal direct, Ashley's trailer *might* pop up this Friday because of WarioWare Gold's release on the US on the Smash Blog, time will tell, that's all for now, hopefully I can get more info as we get close to release.

Also I'm calling a Joker reveal for this direct.

If not this one, then the next one, and the one after that!

Ashley makes sense as a reveal, but I'm just hopeful as a huge Ashley supporter. I still think it's too early for a huge K. Rool reveal, I think there will probably be another direct or something in November to really push the sales right before release.

Realistically I'm gonna say Isabelle or Ashley.

King K.Rool: Fan Demand for him is through the roof, he's like Ridley Jr.

Marx: Iconic Kirby Villain and would make for a good character

Echos:

Isabelle: Other Vergeben prediction

Black Shadow: May be the only other F-Zero Character we get

James Mc.Cloud: Makes the most sense

Akuma: Fan Favorite SF character and was popular enough to get into Tekken instead of Ryu.

Shadow: Most requested Echo Fighter

Hopefully it's true, I just want my offline Tournament Mode ffs, and preferably it should be able to be expanded to 64 entrants like in Melee. It's actually crazy to think that a 64 entrants Tournament can't even fit every character into it these days.

It's almost a guarantee we are getting a new character. My bet, Ashley. It lines up so well with Warioware Golds release date.

Honestly, if Elma is actually a playable character, this direct would be a now-or-never situation in terms of revealing her. If she doesn't end up being revealed here, I can't really see her being a playable character.

To keep ya'll updated on Loz18, he's going to be posting things in this thread. He says now that he has no real info that's confirmed aside from that Direct (and what other info he's keeping away from us to surprise us with). And he says that "The Hype Train is Full Speed Ahead"... which may mean that we may get some more news later or he's happy that the direct was announced
