I'm actually looking at plays from Catching Zzs channel to remember why I liked this game in the first place. Just need something after the Bayo salt.

I find it funny that the Bayonetta salt mines have suddenly catapulted back into business.

Maybe it was the recent fiasco of the sudden her "being rigged in" news.

Bayo vs. Bayo is boring overdone, and neither of the players were taking the match seriously.

Sm4sh deserved a better send-off.

These finals are actually a joke though. Neither of the players seem serious. They tried to stall and hold a live interview on stage until Bear pulled out the rulebook.

These are literal friendlies.

Nothing wrong with two buddies playing against each other in finals, but they ought to at least take it somewhat seriously. This comment says it well:

I actually didn't care that she was "rigged in". I love her games and none of the top ballot choices were characters I cared for. It's just a horrible way to see Smash 4 go.

Well for starters, she's nowhere near as bad as Metaknight and the ban would have likely caused a split in the Smash 4 fanbase. Some people wanted her banned and some didn't. But now that the game's on it's way out, most simply just didn't care anymore.

She's in the sweet spot where she's not considered strong enough to be banned but still stronger than the rest

The results for Bayo weren't oppressive enough and thus a ban isn't really justified, though according to BarnardsLoop (the guy who does a ton of results gathering and wrote articles about hers and doubles Cloud's prominence) they are trending upward and could have potentially reached that point before Ultimate came along.

Grand finals were simply terrible, they literally decided to have an interview in the middle of a match until Bear pulled out the rule book on stalling. Other than that, just disappointment that Smash 4 has to go out like this. Also Bayo ditto is the icing on the cake.

Although, the actual ideal would have been Leo and Tweek showing up. Even if they didn't make it to finals.
