Because of his personality, lack of fighting moves, his series being non-violent by nature? There was more than one way to take it. So no, calling that clear is silly. Anybody can "not be suited for battle", but that's a vague as hell statement that doesn't explain anything. What's really important is why they aren't and how to look into the character and make them potentially work.

Observing all your posts throughout this, you really seem to be stretching/twisting things and trying really hard to justify some madeup rules of yours against Isabelle rather than admit fault, while repeatedly dismissing anything that goes against the "Sakurai adheres to established personalities 100% and won't ever contradict anything in any way, even at the expense of excluding a popular/iconic character altogether" narrative you concocted. I don't think Isabelle is a shoo-in and her inclusion can go either way, but I think it's pretty clear the main issue to her inclusion is the lack of obvious moveset potential, not "oh Isabelle is just too peaceful to ever lift a finger in a cartoony fighting party game and she's just so fitting as an assist trophy". All this "Isabelle is too peaceful!" and "Isabelle fits best as an AT" looks like another "Ridley is too big!" and "Ridley fits best as a boss!" argument.

Ok so i'm trying to get the Loz18 leak straight.
Looking for a source for these claims:

1. echos having a symbol near their name being "leaked" before E3.
2. he said to keep following vergeben.

EDIT: I found his posts about some of the info i originally couldn't find, still looking for sources on these two claims though.

i've seen his other stuff, and supposedly the "daisy" part of his leak was deleted, but its hard to search gamefaqs...

I mean why not, he's already officially fought Power Rangers characters at this point so why not Goku

Although he does moreso resemble a Spider Monkey, Diddy is referred to as a Chimpanzee in DK64, having the nickname of Champion of Chimpanzees in the manual.


The comics were great fun overall, especially when Ian Flynn took over replacing Ken Penders as the main writer. If you never read the comics before and you're interested, there's 3 jumping on points:

1. Start at the very beginning; 2. (NOT REALLY RECOMMENDED) Start at Issue 160 at the beginning of Ian Flynn's run; 3. Start at Issue 252, which starts off with a literal soft reboot of the comics universe after the events of the first crossover with Mega Man.

The IDW comics are being written by Flynn, and from what I've seen and heard so far, it's good stuff.

For people who want more Sonic comic goodness they should read the Sonic the Comic stories. Though where you'd find said comics I don't know.

Just like Archie Sonic it takes extreme liberties with the Sonic canon (which at the time was vague anyway). While I haven't read the comics myself since they originally came out, it still has a dedicated fanbase (despite being cancelled around the time Sonic Adventure came out), and I remember good things about it.

Apparently it only takes until about Issue 8 to get good.

Now, as for reading guides... well, I have no idea. *shrug*

I watched the video and read all the posts from him i could find on gamefaqs

just cant find if he mentioned echos having a symbol (though thats kind of unnecessary as clearly he had access to either the demo or e3 reveal trailer early, that much is obvious from everything else he said).

just curious if he actually specifically said to keep following vergeben, as he seems to think the higher ups had access to more unrevealed characters and thought one would be revealed at the invitational, though i will say after reading his posts he seems to have assumed some stuff... he sounds like a big smash fan himself, so maybe he was just saying that vergeben seems likely from what hes heard which might not be any different than the rumors we all have heard.

Alright, here's every supposed leak that I have documented containing both Simon and Isabelle. There's a total of 18 that I'm splitting between two sessions, one for "leaks" that will live past July, and one for "leaks" that don't.

My source worked at Bandai Namco and was on the former balancing team for patches 1.0.6 to 1.1.7 which is now a core part of Sakurai's main team. The old team reverted many of their past changes and are adding new changes in their place, but it's not bad, expect characters like Sheik and Diddy to feel stronger in some ways and weaker in others. Sakurai is taking a bigger personal role in balancing the game instead of just overseeing everything, much more like he did in Brawl and Melee, he is very interested in learning about the competitive scene recently. Bayonetta is indeed getting additional nerfs, mostly adding more lag to her specials if she misses (Witch Time, Witch Twist), and reducing kill power of Up air. Most characters are getting buffed or nerfed as you'd expect, although strangely, Yoshi is getting nerfed overall, Sakurai felt he was too strong on For Glory. Diddy Kong is getting buffed, my source and friends tried stopping it but Sakurai doesn't get why Diddy is good as is and thinks he needs more power.
Post questions about characters and I'll try to answer them individually.

It's me, Peach! Today I have some exquisite information for all of you regarding the new Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Switch.

There's just six more full fighters.

Personally, I am most excited that my personal assistant Toad will be joining the battle as Captain Toad. I've already made a cake for the occasion! In Smash Ultimate, Captain Toad cannot jump, but has several moves that work as strong recovery options, notably his minecart and the propeller box from 3D World.

The second is Ashley from Diamond City. I don't know a lot about her but supposedly she is one of Wario's friends. Her demon Red supports her, turning into various objects for many of her attacks.

Thirdly, we have King K. Rool. I've heard he's about the same weight as Bowser, which is quite scary! Like Ashley for Japan, he was chosen to appeal to the western audiences.

I can also confirm we have a newcomer from our friends over at the Konami Kingdom, Simon Belmont.

Also joining the battle is Bandanna Waddle Dee! He's such a cutey, isn't he? He fights with his spear similarly to his recent appearances in Star Allies and Return to Dreamland.

The final new roster addition is... an odd man. He's a very blocky fellow who calls himself Steve. I'm quite surprised at his physique, but supposedly he is a master of adapting to different situations, able to quickly create items during the battle.

Each fighter comes with their own stage, too!

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

ACTUAL Smash Leaks

Don't get your hopes up too high, guys. I have no idea about DLC but this is just for launch.

Simon is getting in. My guess is that they're announcing it when they announce the rumored (but obviously real) Castlevaina compilation. My guess is it will be around the launch of season 2 on Netflix. This is all just a guess, though.

And that is the only new character. There are others but they're just echo fighters. Thankfully none of them are Fire Emblem.

Classic Sonic is an echo fighter of Sonic. I have no idea how he plays. I'm just reading these off a list. My guess is maybe he has tighter controls if they want to really represent Classic Sonic. He's referred to as 'Classic Sonic' in documentation so I assume that's how he's referred to in-game, as well. I'm actually a little excited for this one.

Isabella is an echo fighter for villager. Don't even have a guess what the differences could be.

Ms. Pac-Man is another echo fighter. Same with Isabella. No idea how she'll be different.

The most disappointing echo fighter on the list is Dixie. She deserves her own moveset. ****ing sucks.

And finally, Octoling. Not a surprise.

That's all I know. No idea about ATs or anything else or even when they'll announce these guys (besides Simon but that's just a guess). You guys can ask me stuff but I probably won't know. But I might remember something I've forgotten if something is worded right? I dunno. He's hoping we get Rex as DLC.

Super Smash Bros. reveal trailer
A shadowy figure flies above as a hero steps out of the darkness.
"Belmont has his stake in this!"
He follows the figure as it flies to a lofty bell tower. He climbs a spiral staircase and defeats skeletons and bats before arriving at the top. The bell sounds as he looks around. Sensing his foe: "Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" An evil laugh echoes out and the demon attacks. "Overconfidence will destroy you" Sephiroth joins the fray!

Belmont is a new design drawing inspiration from Simon, Trevor, Richtor, Juste and huh? Alucard? and has costumes to represent each of them. Sephiroth's design is based on his "One-Winged Angel" classic design but has costumes for his Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts designs.

A third character is teased. A telescope has been watching the battle unfold in the bell tower. A female giggle is heard and the telescope is flung skyward, disappearing in a STAR graphic effect.

I work in the graphics team at Bandai Namco, and am working on smash ultimate. i wont say much about where i work, as i was make to sign an agreement not to divulge any information about the new game. however, like you, I would want to know whos gonna be in the game, and who isn't. This formats probably gonna suck because I'm not used to 4chan, and I'm also not gonna explain too much about the characters, in order to try and not make my identity too prominent.
In total, there will be 8 newcomers, including Ridley and Inkling, and 6 more echoes. This may seem contradictory, but apparently Sakurai is trying to do this so that he can leave the fanbase happy while he attempts to make as many DLC characters as Nintendo allows him to. Remember, budgets are a thing.

The 6 newcomers yet to be revealed are:

Okami
Ashley
Heihachi

Many people I work with believe that Dixie is going to be the first DLC character, as she can take much influence from diddy and she is wanted much like mewtwo was in the development of SSB4.

I cannot confirm that there will be a subspace emissary, but what i can confirm is that all the characters will be able to be unlocked in a type of classic mode, where the final boss on each run will be a new fighter that has yet to be unlocked. From what I've seen, these characters will also be able to be unlocked in other ways, such as playing multiple amounts of matches.
In terms of when these will be revealed, I don't know, but i overheard people saying that some echoes wont get trailers, rather, a couple may be revealed in a smash focused direct, and

Smash Bros Ultimate
The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

Chartes not revealed before lunch are Geno, Dixie Kong, Dark Samus, Chrom, Isabel, Tails, and Shadow.

Alright, here's every supposed leak that I have documented containing both Simon and Isabelle. There's a total of 18 that I'm splitting between two sessions, one for "leaks" that will live past July, and one for "leaks" that don't.

My source worked at Bandai Namco and was on the former balancing team for patches 1.0.6 to 1.1.7 which is now a core part of Sakurai's main team. The old team reverted many of their past changes and are adding new changes in their place, but it's not bad, expect characters like Sheik and Diddy to feel stronger in some ways and weaker in others. Sakurai is taking a bigger personal role in balancing the game instead of just overseeing everything, much more like he did in Brawl and Melee, he is very interested in learning about the competitive scene recently. Bayonetta is indeed getting additional nerfs, mostly adding more lag to her specials if she misses (Witch Time, Witch Twist), and reducing kill power of Up air. Most characters are getting buffed or nerfed as you'd expect, although strangely, Yoshi is getting nerfed overall, Sakurai felt he was too strong on For Glory. Diddy Kong is getting buffed, my source and friends tried stopping it but Sakurai doesn't get why Diddy is good as is and thinks he needs more power.

It's me, Peach! Today I have some exquisite information for all of you regarding the new Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Switch.

There's just six more full fighters.

Personally, I am most excited that my personal assistant Toad will be joining the battle as Captain Toad. I've already made a cake for the occasion! In Smash Ultimate, Captain Toad cannot jump, but has several moves that work as strong recovery options, notably his minecart and the propeller box from 3D World.

The second is Ashley from Diamond City. I don't know a lot about her but supposedly she is one of Wario's friends. Her demon Red supports her, turning into various objects for many of her attacks.

Thirdly, we have King K. Rool. I've heard he's about the same weight as Bowser, which is quite scary! Like Ashley for Japan, he was chosen to appeal to the western audiences.

I can also confirm we have a newcomer from our friends over at the Konami Kingdom, Simon Belmont.

Also joining the battle is Bandanna Waddle Dee! He's such a cutey, isn't he? He fights with his spear similarly to his recent appearances in Star Allies and Return to Dreamland.

The final new roster addition is... an odd man. He's a very blocky fellow who calls himself Steve. I'm quite surprised at his physique, but supposedly he is a master of adapting to different situations, able to quickly create items during the battle.

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

ACTUAL Smash Leaks

Don't get your hopes up too high, guys. I have no idea about DLC but this is just for launch.

Simon is getting in. My guess is that they're announcing it when they announce the rumored (but obviously real) Castlevaina compilation. My guess is it will be around the launch of season 2 on Netflix. This is all just a guess, though.

And that is the only new character. There are others but they're just echo fighters. Thankfully none of them are Fire Emblem.

Classic Sonic is an echo fighter of Sonic. I have no idea how he plays. I'm just reading these off a list. My guess is maybe he has tighter controls if they want to really represent Classic Sonic. He's referred to as 'Classic Sonic' in documentation so I assume that's how he's referred to in-game, as well. I'm actually a little excited for this one.

Isabella is an echo fighter for villager. Don't even have a guess what the differences could be.

Ms. Pac-Man is another echo fighter. Same with Isabella. No idea how she'll be different.

The most disappointing echo fighter on the list is Dixie. She deserves her own moveset. ****ing sucks.

And finally, Octoling. Not a surprise.

That's all I know. No idea about ATs or anything else or even when they'll announce these guys (besides Simon but that's just a guess). You guys can ask me stuff but I probably won't know. But I might remember something I've forgotten if something is worded right? I dunno. He's hoping we get Rex as DLC.

A shadowy figure flies above as a hero steps out of the darkness.
"Belmont has his stake in this!"
He follows the figure as it flies to a lofty bell tower. He climbs a spiral staircase and defeats skeletons and bats before arriving at the top. The bell sounds as he looks around. Sensing his foe: "Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" An evil laugh echoes out and the demon attacks. "Overconfidence will destroy you" Sephiroth joins the fray!

Belmont is a new design drawing inspiration from Simon, Trevor, Richtor, Juste and huh? Alucard? and has costumes to represent each of them. Sephiroth's design is based on his "One-Winged Angel" classic design but has costumes for his Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts designs.

A third character is teased. A telescope has been watching the battle unfold in the bell tower. A female giggle is heard and the telescope is flung skyward, disappearing in a STAR graphic effect.

I work in the graphics team at Bandai Namco, and am working on smash ultimate. i wont say much about where i work, as i was make to sign an agreement not to divulge any information about the new game. however, like you, I would want to know whos gonna be in the game, and who isn't. This formats probably gonna suck because I'm not used to 4chan, and I'm also not gonna explain too much about the characters, in order to try and not make my identity too prominent.
In total, there will be 8 newcomers, including Ridley and Inkling, and 6 more echoes. This may seem contradictory, but apparently Sakurai is trying to do this so that he can leave the fanbase happy while he attempts to make as many DLC characters as Nintendo allows him to. Remember, budgets are a thing.

The 6 newcomers yet to be revealed are:

Many people I work with believe that Dixie is going to be the first DLC character, as she can take much influence from diddy and she is wanted much like mewtwo was in the development of SSB4.

In terms of when these will be revealed, I don't know, but i overheard people saying that some echoes wont get trailers, rather, a couple may be revealed in a smash focused direct, and

The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

ACTUAL Smash Leaks

Don't get your hopes up too high, guys. I have no idea about DLC but this is just for launch.

Simon is getting in. My guess is that they're announcing it when they announce the rumored (but obviously real) Castlevaina compilation. My guess is it will be around the launch of season 2 on Netflix. This is all just a guess, though.

And that is the only new character. There are others but they're just echo fighters. Thankfully none of them are Fire Emblem.

Classic Sonic is an echo fighter of Sonic. I have no idea how he plays. I'm just reading these off a list. My guess is maybe he has tighter controls if they want to really represent Classic Sonic. He's referred to as 'Classic Sonic' in documentation so I assume that's how he's referred to in-game, as well. I'm actually a little excited for this one.

Isabella is an echo fighter for villager. Don't even have a guess what the differences could be.

Ms. Pac-Man is another echo fighter. Same with Isabella. No idea how she'll be different.

The most disappointing echo fighter on the list is Dixie. She deserves her own moveset. ****ing sucks.

And finally, Octoling. Not a surprise.

That's all I know. No idea about ATs or anything else or even when they'll announce these guys (besides Simon but that's just a guess). You guys can ask me stuff but I probably won't know. But I might remember something I've forgotten if something is worded right? I dunno. He's hoping we get Rex as DLC.

Super Smash Bros. reveal trailer
A shadowy figure flies above as a hero steps out of the darkness.
"Belmont has his stake in this!"
He follows the figure as it flies to a lofty bell tower. He climbs a spiral staircase and defeats skeletons and bats before arriving at the top. The bell sounds as he looks around. Sensing his foe: "Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" An evil laugh echoes out and the demon attacks. "Overconfidence will destroy you" Sephiroth joins the fray!

Belmont is a new design drawing inspiration from Simon, Trevor, Richtor, Juste and huh? Alucard? and has costumes to represent each of them. Sephiroth's design is based on his "One-Winged Angel" classic design but has costumes for his Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts designs.

A third character is teased. A telescope has been watching the battle unfold in the bell tower. A female giggle is heard and the telescope is flung skyward, disappearing in a STAR graphic effect.

I work in the graphics team at Bandai Namco, and am working on smash ultimate. i wont say much about where i work, as i was make to sign an agreement not to divulge any information about the new game. however, like you, I would want to know whos gonna be in the game, and who isn't. This formats probably gonna suck because I'm not used to 4chan, and I'm also not gonna explain too much about the characters, in order to try and not make my identity too prominent.
In total, there will be 8 newcomers, including Ridley and Inkling, and 6 more echoes. This may seem contradictory, but apparently Sakurai is trying to do this so that he can leave the fanbase happy while he attempts to make as many DLC characters as Nintendo allows him to. Remember, budgets are a thing.

The 6 newcomers yet to be revealed are:

Many people I work with believe that Dixie is going to be the first DLC character, as she can take much influence from diddy and she is wanted much like mewtwo was in the development of SSB4.

I cannot confirm that there will be a subspace emissary, but what i can confirm is that all the characters will be able to be unlocked in a type of classic mode, where the final boss on each run will be a new fighter that has yet to be unlocked. From what I've seen, these characters will also be able to be unlocked in other ways, such as playing multiple amounts of matches.
In terms of when these will be revealed, I don't know, but i overheard people saying that some echoes wont get trailers, rather, a couple may be revealed in a smash focused direct, and

Smash Bros Ultimate
The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

My source worked at Bandai Namco and was on the former balancing team for patches 1.0.6 to 1.1.7 which is now a core part of Sakurai's main team. The old team reverted many of their past changes and are adding new changes in their place, but it's not bad, expect characters like Sheik and Diddy to feel stronger in some ways and weaker in others. Sakurai is taking a bigger personal role in balancing the game instead of just overseeing everything, much more like he did in Brawl and Melee, he is very interested in learning about the competitive scene recently. Bayonetta is indeed getting additional nerfs, mostly adding more lag to her specials if she misses (Witch Time, Witch Twist), and reducing kill power of Up air. Most characters are getting buffed or nerfed as you'd expect, although strangely, Yoshi is getting nerfed overall, Sakurai felt he was too strong on For Glory. Diddy Kong is getting buffed, my source and friends tried stopping it but Sakurai doesn't get why Diddy is good as is and thinks he needs more power.
Post questions about characters and I'll try to answer them individually.

It's me, Peach! Today I have some exquisite information for all of you regarding the new Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Switch.

There's just six more full fighters.

Personally, I am most excited that my personal assistant Toad will be joining the battle as Captain Toad. I've already made a cake for the occasion! In Smash Ultimate, Captain Toad cannot jump, but has several moves that work as strong recovery options, notably his minecart and the propeller box from 3D World.

The second is Ashley from Diamond City. I don't know a lot about her but supposedly she is one of Wario's friends. Her demon Red supports her, turning into various objects for many of her attacks.

Thirdly, we have King K. Rool. I've heard he's about the same weight as Bowser, which is quite scary! Like Ashley for Japan, he was chosen to appeal to the western audiences.

I can also confirm we have a newcomer from our friends over at the Konami Kingdom, Simon Belmont.

Also joining the battle is Bandanna Waddle Dee! He's such a cutey, isn't he? He fights with his spear similarly to his recent appearances in Star Allies and Return to Dreamland.

The final new roster addition is... an odd man. He's a very blocky fellow who calls himself Steve. I'm quite surprised at his physique, but supposedly he is a master of adapting to different situations, able to quickly create items during the battle.

Each fighter comes with their own stage, too!

Belmont is a new design drawing inspiration from Simon, Trevor, Richtor, Juste and huh? Alucard? and has costumes to represent each of them. Sephiroth's design is based on his "One-Winged Angel" classic design but has costumes for his Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts designs.

A third character is teased. A telescope has been watching the battle unfold in the bell tower. A female giggle is heard and the telescope is flung skyward, disappearing in a STAR graphic effect.

I work in the graphics team at Bandai Namco, and am working on smash ultimate. i wont say much about where i work, as i was make to sign an agreement not to divulge any information about the new game. however, like you, I would want to know whos gonna be in the game, and who isn't. This formats probably gonna suck because I'm not used to 4chan, and I'm also not gonna explain too much about the characters, in order to try and not make my identity too prominent.
In total, there will be 8 newcomers, including Ridley and Inkling, and 6 more echoes. This may seem contradictory, but apparently Sakurai is trying to do this so that he can leave the fanbase happy while he attempts to make as many DLC characters as Nintendo allows him to. Remember, budgets are a thing.

Many people I work with believe that Dixie is going to be the first DLC character, as she can take much influence from diddy and she is wanted much like mewtwo was in the development of SSB4.

The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

My source worked at Bandai Namco and was on the former balancing team for patches 1.0.6 to 1.1.7 which is now a core part of Sakurai's main team. The old team reverted many of their past changes and are adding new changes in their place, but it's not bad, expect characters like Sheik and Diddy to feel stronger in some ways and weaker in others. Sakurai is taking a bigger personal role in balancing the game instead of just overseeing everything, much more like he did in Brawl and Melee, he is very interested in learning about the competitive scene recently. Bayonetta is indeed getting additional nerfs, mostly adding more lag to her specials if she misses (Witch Time, Witch Twist), and reducing kill power of Up air. Most characters are getting buffed or nerfed as you'd expect, although strangely, Yoshi is getting nerfed overall, Sakurai felt he was too strong on For Glory. Diddy Kong is getting buffed, my source and friends tried stopping it but Sakurai doesn't get why Diddy is good as is and thinks he needs more power.
Post questions about characters and I'll try to answer them individually.

It's me, Peach! Today I have some exquisite information for all of you regarding the new Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Switch.

There's just six more full fighters.

Personally, I am most excited that my personal assistant Toad will be joining the battle as Captain Toad. I've already made a cake for the occasion! In Smash Ultimate, Captain Toad cannot jump, but has several moves that work as strong recovery options, notably his minecart and the propeller box from 3D World.

The second is Ashley from Diamond City. I don't know a lot about her but supposedly she is one of Wario's friends. Her demon Red supports her, turning into various objects for many of her attacks.

Thirdly, we have King K. Rool. I've heard he's about the same weight as Bowser, which is quite scary! Like Ashley for Japan, he was chosen to appeal to the western audiences.

I can also confirm we have a newcomer from our friends over at the Konami Kingdom, Simon Belmont.

Also joining the battle is Bandanna Waddle Dee! He's such a cutey, isn't he? He fights with his spear similarly to his recent appearances in Star Allies and Return to Dreamland.

The final new roster addition is... an odd man. He's a very blocky fellow who calls himself Steve. I'm quite surprised at his physique, but supposedly he is a master of adapting to different situations, able to quickly create items during the battle.

Each fighter comes with their own stage, too!

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

ACTUAL Smash Leaks

Don't get your hopes up too high, guys. I have no idea about DLC but this is just for launch.

Simon is getting in. My guess is that they're announcing it when they announce the rumored (but obviously real) Castlevaina compilation. My guess is it will be around the launch of season 2 on Netflix. This is all just a guess, though.

And that is the only new character. There are others but they're just echo fighters. Thankfully none of them are Fire Emblem.

Classic Sonic is an echo fighter of Sonic. I have no idea how he plays. I'm just reading these off a list. My guess is maybe he has tighter controls if they want to really represent Classic Sonic. He's referred to as 'Classic Sonic' in documentation so I assume that's how he's referred to in-game, as well. I'm actually a little excited for this one.

Isabella is an echo fighter for villager. Don't even have a guess what the differences could be.

Ms. Pac-Man is another echo fighter. Same with Isabella. No idea how she'll be different.

The most disappointing echo fighter on the list is Dixie. She deserves her own moveset. ****ing sucks.

And finally, Octoling. Not a surprise.

That's all I know. No idea about ATs or anything else or even when they'll announce these guys (besides Simon but that's just a guess). You guys can ask me stuff but I probably won't know. But I might remember something I've forgotten if something is worded right? I dunno. He's hoping we get Rex as DLC.

The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

Chartes not revealed before lunch are Geno, Dixie Kong, Dark Samus, Chrom, Isabel, Tails, and Shadow.

My source worked at Bandai Namco and was on the former balancing team for patches 1.0.6 to 1.1.7 which is now a core part of Sakurai's main team. The old team reverted many of their past changes and are adding new changes in their place, but it's not bad, expect characters like Sheik and Diddy to feel stronger in some ways and weaker in others. Sakurai is taking a bigger personal role in balancing the game instead of just overseeing everything, much more like he did in Brawl and Melee, he is very interested in learning about the competitive scene recently. Bayonetta is indeed getting additional nerfs, mostly adding more lag to her specials if she misses (Witch Time, Witch Twist), and reducing kill power of Up air. Most characters are getting buffed or nerfed as you'd expect, although strangely, Yoshi is getting nerfed overall, Sakurai felt he was too strong on For Glory. Diddy Kong is getting buffed, my source and friends tried stopping it but Sakurai doesn't get why Diddy is good as is and thinks he needs more power.
Post questions about characters and I'll try to answer them individually.

It's me, Peach! Today I have some exquisite information for all of you regarding the new Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Switch.

There's just six more full fighters.

Personally, I am most excited that my personal assistant Toad will be joining the battle as Captain Toad. I've already made a cake for the occasion! In Smash Ultimate, Captain Toad cannot jump, but has several moves that work as strong recovery options, notably his minecart and the propeller box from 3D World.

The second is Ashley from Diamond City. I don't know a lot about her but supposedly she is one of Wario's friends. Her demon Red supports her, turning into various objects for many of her attacks.

Thirdly, we have King K. Rool. I've heard he's about the same weight as Bowser, which is quite scary! Like Ashley for Japan, he was chosen to appeal to the western audiences.

I can also confirm we have a newcomer from our friends over at the Konami Kingdom, Simon Belmont.

Also joining the battle is Bandanna Waddle Dee! He's such a cutey, isn't he? He fights with his spear similarly to his recent appearances in Star Allies and Return to Dreamland.

The final new roster addition is... an odd man. He's a very blocky fellow who calls himself Steve. I'm quite surprised at his physique, but supposedly he is a master of adapting to different situations, able to quickly create items during the battle.

Each fighter comes with their own stage, too!

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

ACTUAL Smash Leaks

Don't get your hopes up too high, guys. I have no idea about DLC but this is just for launch.

Simon is getting in. My guess is that they're announcing it when they announce the rumored (but obviously real) Castlevaina compilation. My guess is it will be around the launch of season 2 on Netflix. This is all just a guess, though.

And that is the only new character. There are others but they're just echo fighters. Thankfully none of them are Fire Emblem.

Classic Sonic is an echo fighter of Sonic. I have no idea how he plays. I'm just reading these off a list. My guess is maybe he has tighter controls if they want to really represent Classic Sonic. He's referred to as 'Classic Sonic' in documentation so I assume that's how he's referred to in-game, as well. I'm actually a little excited for this one.

Isabella is an echo fighter for villager. Don't even have a guess what the differences could be.

Ms. Pac-Man is another echo fighter. Same with Isabella. No idea how she'll be different.

The most disappointing echo fighter on the list is Dixie. She deserves her own moveset. ****ing sucks.

And finally, Octoling. Not a surprise.

That's all I know. No idea about ATs or anything else or even when they'll announce these guys (besides Simon but that's just a guess). You guys can ask me stuff but I probably won't know. But I might remember something I've forgotten if something is worded right? I dunno. He's hoping we get Rex as DLC.

A shadowy figure flies above as a hero steps out of the darkness.
"Belmont has his stake in this!"
He follows the figure as it flies to a lofty bell tower. He climbs a spiral staircase and defeats skeletons and bats before arriving at the top. The bell sounds as he looks around. Sensing his foe: "Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" An evil laugh echoes out and the demon attacks. "Overconfidence will destroy you" Sephiroth joins the fray!

Belmont is a new design drawing inspiration from Simon, Trevor, Richtor, Juste and huh? Alucard? and has costumes to represent each of them. Sephiroth's design is based on his "One-Winged Angel" classic design but has costumes for his Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts designs.

A third character is teased. A telescope has been watching the battle unfold in the bell tower. A female giggle is heard and the telescope is flung skyward, disappearing in a STAR graphic effect.

I work in the graphics team at Bandai Namco, and am working on smash ultimate. i wont say much about where i work, as i was make to sign an agreement not to divulge any information about the new game. however, like you, I would want to know whos gonna be in the game, and who isn't. This formats probably gonna suck because I'm not used to 4chan, and I'm also not gonna explain too much about the characters, in order to try and not make my identity too prominent.
In total, there will be 8 newcomers, including Ridley and Inkling, and 6 more echoes. This may seem contradictory, but apparently Sakurai is trying to do this so that he can leave the fanbase happy while he attempts to make as many DLC characters as Nintendo allows him to. Remember, budgets are a thing.

Many people I work with believe that Dixie is going to be the first DLC character, as she can take much influence from diddy and she is wanted much like mewtwo was in the development of SSB4.

In terms of when these will be revealed, I don't know, but i overheard people saying that some echoes wont get trailers, rather, a couple may be revealed in a smash focused direct, and

October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

Chartes not revealed before lunch are Geno, Dixie Kong, Dark Samus, Chrom, Isabel, Tails, and Shadow.

Either he deleted it or the mods took it down like they took down ChaosZero's leak threads during the Brawl era. I imagine we'll hear what happened from him soon.

Honestly, you're doing the people's work my friend. Still, it scares me that of the leaks surviving July, only one of them has Isaac involved. Assuming Vergeben is correct, this hurts my boy's chances, though I personally am sceptical of Verge's claims. Given they're the 2nd/12th most mentioned characters on your leak tally, it feels way too safe.

Either way, whilst there are a number of possibilities to why his thread is deleted, I still somehow have a feeling that this could be a similar situation with ChaosZero's Brawl leak (That is if Vergeben is correct.)

No, but you can report them. The problem is, he's such a backpedaler and liar he can do this himself to make it "look good". It's not honestly worth trusting due to his own history.

Many leakers, sure, it wouldn't matter. It might even boost their credibility. Verg? Does the opposite. His behavior is terrible.

Huh, I honestly forgot that. Either way, I don't think it means anything. As noted, it could have been reported for trolling due to his own record too. With how shady he is, he could've even had another user report it to make it "look better". The problem is that he's shady enough for this kind of stuff to make sense.

There's benefit of the doubt in some ways, but a thread being deleted isn't one of those in his cases.
