The guy says he's working on the game, meaning if he's working on Ammy, he'd be told "We want you to make Amaterasu's trophy model" or something. It's really not though. Shadow's render lacks any kind of shading and his model is straight out of Generations. It's out of place as hell.

It isn't really minor at all. If you're working on the game with a director like Sakurai who adds unnecessary details like the SMAAAAASH effect a Starman gives when getting hit by Ness' bat, you'd be given clear instructions. AKA, you NEED to know that info or otherwise you literally cannot do the job

Where Shadow is on the select screen makes some sense. Echoes being put next to the character works. Dark Pit would obviously be right after Pit.

But as noted, the actual picture is just low quality overall as an actual Smash Render. It's an obvious fake due to this. Only thing believable is the order of the characters. That's kind of it.

Honestly, with how Smash games always seem to go, I'm predicting we'll know the full roster leak or otherwise by like mid-November. It seems like something that just can't be avoided, unfortunately.

I think it's possible loz18 is purposely not leaking newcomers. He knew about a TON of stuff that was showcased in the Smash segment of the E3 presentation but the only newcomer he mentioned was the Inkling and he somehow knew nothing of Ridley. Now he's talking about a Direct in August that will supposedly talk about Smash and he's giving details on the new modes but he hasn't said anything on any potential newcomers even though there will obviously be one revealed at the next Nintendo Direct.

All this coupled with the fact that he said he doesn't like leaking a lot of information because he thinks it does a disservice to Nintendo.

loz18 got multiple pieces of info correct before the Direct like Inkling specials, all returning veterans, and Zelda character redesigns.

He also said in another comment that there will be a Nintendo Direct in August with Tournament Mode and two other stages besides All-Star mode. He said that one of the two modes will be completely new and will be the primary way of unlocking characters.

Vergeben made a big deal in the past 24 hours about Isabelle being in, and he was sticking to Belmont being in. His post of this on GameFAQs got deleted for some unknown reason.

vergeben added isabelle, not clear on if shes an echo or what just that he says isabelle is in same with simon belmont, and the thread the post was in has been deleted now but probably just because of trolls or something who knows.

loz18 i dont think anything new happened with, just got brought up because loz18 claimed an august direct would happen and that its clear loz18 had real info from before E3, thats about it.

It seems like the characters are being arranged in debut order (with the chiefs being played next to the ones they copy), including 3rd parties, so this seems like a good looking fake (though I’d love to be able to rearrange the css to my fitting)

He's not wrong either. The thing is, leaking stuff can ruin hype a lot. Ryu and Roy, for instance, weren't nearly as hype due to the leaks.

So him withholding information makes some sense.

Not that he can't be fake, but this is a point to consider.

It's simple, really. In this guide, I will be teaching you how to create a Smash leak that will have Reddit [SmashBoards] in a frenzy.

1. Say something painfully obvious about Ultimate before it's directly confirmed so people will think you're credible.
   -This was easier to do before E3, as all you had to do was say that the Ice Climbers were coming back. Now you must be a bit more creative.
2. "Me nan works at Bandai-Namco".
   -Who cares if the development of Ultimate was so secretive that much of Nintendo didn't even know it was being made? Just say you have an insider source and your credibility will increase by seven billion points.
3. Insert any popular character into the leak.
   Just say King K. Rool will be in and you'll be all over Reddit, man.
4. Control+c and control+v are your friends.
   Just copy paste anything whatever the **** Vergeben says.

Well Ridley's pose is just Bowser's Smash 4 pose but mirrored.

That's definitely true though I could see loz just not wanting to be the one to leak it himself. I guess if he has reason to believe that Verg is accurate then he figured he might say as much. I guess it might be ok for him if someone else spoils the hype as long as it's not himself.

Let's be fair, I could see Sega and Sakurai doing so. Especially Sega. When was the last time Shadow was unique? Let's be honest, Sonic Battle is the only one where he wasn't pretty much a modified Sonic in some way, at least that tied into the current games specifically. Sonic Chronicles is too, but that game appears to be non-canon(it's not that clear) and was... okay. In Shadow and 06, he's still clearly based upon the Sonic playstyle, but has a lot of unique differences too.

Then you have other games where he's basically Sonic again; Sonic Riders, Sonic Rivals, Sonic Heroes, Adventure 2, Forces, Black Knight(including the multiplayer), Secret Rings(mutiplayer only), Sonic Runners(unless he wasn't in the game and I forgot), and I think that was it for his playable status? Obviously the sequels to Riders and Rivals count too. I know there's Sonic All-Stars Racing, but that didn't make him super unique due to how racing games don't work that way(though Sonic R was kind of an exception to that, and even then, they weren't very different for many characters. Just not beyond carbon copies like many Kart Racing games).

That's fine though, I don't care if it's re-used, it just has to be something. ***** looks like he's T-posing. Mario's Brawl pose is the same as the Giga Bowser Trophy in Melee, so it happened before.

No, no it is not.

The Sonic series has a ton of unused songs. Shadow the Hedgehog's OST, for instance. Whether they're remakes from previous games(E.G.G.M.A.N.'s, Heavy Dog's theme...) or newer ones like All Hail Shadow and I Am(All Of Me).

So out of morbid curiosity I searched fireden for leaks from before today that included both portions of Isabelmont, and HOO BOY.

There's one from Wednesday that isn't on your list that has both. And more importantly for me it also has Celica. Still probably fake though.

Brand new character, even though they could make her an echo, they really shouldn't. She has so much moveset potential.
