Mewtwo is still being discussed as a usable character for couchwarriors, This is because the only ones who have access to them are the ones with the 3ds + Wii U code. I dare say that if we have a lot of people wanting to use mewtwo and we have 80 entrants we will not finish on time if we do not have systems with mewtwo. Please stay patient and we will make an announcement.

and here is an idea that might help... to easily detected which consoles has Mewtwo on the day, set up all Mewtwo consoles at the far back table nearest the stage . So those consoles on the far back table nearest the stage has Mewtwo on them. The consoles on the other tables do not. Hope that helps.

it's not a matter of position dude it's a matter of how many people want to play mewtwo and how many can bring him. I'm asking the community so don't think I don't have my bases covered. We will definitely allow it if it's possible, but we have rules and time constraints we have to adhere to.

If you want to help the scene out you should be bringing it in without people having to ask in all honesty, this is your game, if you want your game to flourish and finish on time you should be helping. This is what makes and breaks the smash community.

Guys just a heads up, make sure anyone providing consoles for the tournament updates the WiiU to the latest update. We need all setups with the current patch. If people forget, the tournament will run slow as balls. Wont get a chance to have any friendlies if we only have under 6 consoles updated. D;

What is a soft ban?

Soft ban means that mewtwo is able to be played if both players gentleman to the rule (if both players are ok with one player or both players playing mewtwo then you may play mewtwo). However, a player has every right due to preparation issues to refuse playing against mewtwo and the other player must adhere to his opinion. If a player if trying to bully or force another player to play mewtwo please call a TO and that player will be punished under the rules of fair play.

If both players are open to play mewtwo...knock yourselves out. But don't be mean about it if someone does not want to because he/she has every right to. Mewtwo will be officially legal after the 30th of april. Good Luck to everyone.

Since I've been hearing a lot of discussion and badgering about Smash 4 setups and the patch, I'd like to remind everyone:

We had 4 PM setups total last tourney. It's honestly getting to be a bit of a joke, PM was supposed to be over and done with by the time Melee started. If everyone who could bring one did so, it would help a lot of things run much more smoothly.
