And Capcom is going to be holding a panel at Tokyo Game Show all about remasters they will be releasing on the Switch. Here's hoping for MegaMan Legends 1 and 2 as well as their other Disney games like SNES Aladdin.

I beat 1/2 Genie Hero last night. (by staying up until 5 am and playing the game for basically 6 hours straight) It was pretty fun. Definitely wasn't as good as Pirate's Curse, but I enjoyed it quite a bit regardless.

I'm gonna start writing a moveset for her, because I was already shot with inspiration last night when I went to bed so late. Look forward to that I guess

Does anyone know of a good video I could watch for a reference of the kick moves Shantae uses in the GBC games? I wanted to use them in her moveset but reading about them on the wiki isn't giving me a great vision of them at the moment.

The Boot move starts with a jump kick aimed upwards (think Fire Wolf or Boost Kick) that ends in either a continuous backwards somersault, or a drill kick aimed diagonally downwards with an additional attack input (Sash). The cuff move is basically Falcon's old fsmash (and I recommend using it as such on Shantae) with extra forward momentum, that can be cancelled into a jumping, twirling hair whip attack (Tiara) not unlike her victory animation. The Belmont's down tilt works pretty similarly for comparison.

The second set of moves I can see working well as a standalone smash, however the first will probably need some reworks or shifting. Make the jump kick a standalone utilt that ends with her in the air, the somersault her nair (that could naturally combo from the utilt to somewhat simulate it's original function) and the drill kick turned upside down to function as an uair. She has far more potent descending options in the scimitar and elephant anyway.

Regarding that 4chan post about a female fighter with a mech that's rumored to be in the next Nintendo Direct. This is just me guessing how it could still be Shantae assuming the leak is at all true.

For one thing, the supposed leaker said "She's not a demanded character and will disappoint and confuse a lot of people." We've been debating Shantae's popularity for how long and all the time it's exaggerated what an obscure character she is. If this guy is one of them, would it really be any surprise they'd say something like that?

And where does Shantae get the mech you ask? Well it's probably a guess on their part it's a mech but what if it's a tank? Like I said, it was a reach I was making and since the post regarding the mech was separate from the original post, that can be fake for all we know assuming the first one is still true. I heard that ryu Hayabusa rumor. I do wonder if it is just popping up again because of that 1 rumor all the way back from november that said joker, hero, banjo, ryu, and doom guy.

I think ryu could be a good fit though. Je is the last missing nes big shot in the game

Why do you need wall-crawling underwater when you can just swim up? The review makes no mention of water or swimming whatsoever in that dungeon.

I say there's no reason to believe that until the year ends. At the very least, RCG's release in a few days should help lighten up the workload. We get enough pre-emptive damage control from Dukefire as it is.
