I doubt the Marvel factor would come in, as that would then be a 3 way Verses game that, while cool in idea, would likely really cut the roster.

I decided to think about pairs as well, and I came up with Takamaru and Strider, Samus and Morrigan, Captain Falcon and Captain Commando, Luigi and Vergil(Just because it would be humorous), and Tetra and Ruby Heart. I am not super familiar with the Capcom side of things, but i think this is a good list.

I think everyone would love to see interactions between some of the most iconic video game characters of all time, but let's see Capcom pull a good story mode first. Shorts would be great though. Part of the reason I paired Samus and Morrigan together was because I recalled Morrigans fight with Iron Man.

I know you're trying to pair someone with Takamaru, but Greninja borrows so much from Hiryu it would be a crime not to pair the two up. Why not look to some of the human fighters in Okami, like Susano or Waka?

There's also two people I feel Morrigan would have more chemistry with. Personality-wise I'd go with Peach, her heart powers don't seem too far off from succubus abilities, they both have special flight/gliding mechanics in battle and Peach can be surprisingly provocative like Morrigan when she wants to be. Though in terms of physical traits the closest match is Amazon Pandora.

And Luigi has a lot in common with Street Fighter's Dan Hibiki, using a clumsy, awkward of their peer's fighting style while getting little to no respect from anyone, plus being very emotional because of it.

That all makes sense. Funnily enough, I am not actually a Takamaru supporter for Smash though, I just wanted to differentiate the Nintendo side of the roster. I also feel Morrigan would probably be one of the harder character to pair in general.

That would make sense... If it were not for the fact that Bayo is Sega, not Nintendo. Plus, I think if Bayo were to somehow fight with Capcom characters, it would end up being Dante. Making pairs is not only about the similarities they provide, but how they can contrast as well.

I dont play enough skullgirls mobile. I should, as i love that series... but i am warry doing more gatcha games other then the fate GO JP and NA. Though i am tempted at playing pokemon masters...

I mean, it's just a recolor that was in SG to begin with but it's nice to see that they're taking the reference further by giving it a a special name and whatnot.

Can't say it''ll get me to play more of mobile SG however. I went in knowing it would be a simplified gacha version, but it still didn't click after trying it for a bit. All it did was put me in the mood to play actual SG.

Since an indie crossover fighter was brought up earlier, I'd honestly also settle for Lab Zero making SG2 later down the line and including a handful of fellow indie guests like Shantae (and they can give her a Filia color to come full circle.)

As much as I'd like SG2, I doubt they'll make it after Indivisible and I don't want them to rush into a project they don't want to make. We'll probably get one eventually but I don't think they'll go back to SG after just one new project.

Things can change of course. This was about a year ago, but they really did want to get back to skullgirls.

Unfortunately it's hard to say if SG will ever get an EVO spotlight. BBCTB and SamSho made it to EVO despite being too new, the reason SG was supposedly originally rejected. It's honestly all about marketing. SG is an indie game from a small team with a niche audience so they don't brand have power or a larger company's backing to secure a spot behind the scenes. I've also seen the argument that's it too fan-servicey for EVO as well which is always a riot when we have characters like Cammy and R. Mika and games like MK at EVO every year. (DOA and core values anyone?)

For one reason or another certain games will always be snubbed, they'll find any reason. The have partnerships to uphold, certain games they made deals to promote. censors to appease, etc, etc. Obvious double standards make no difference when it comes to the bottom line.

That said I do have some hope for perhaps SG2. I mean, we did get UNIEL after all. Whether it was an organic goodwill/fan demand thing or a promotional one I can't say, but it's definitely not a game I ever thought we'd see on the main stage.

On a different note, Shantae's spiritual ancestor series, Monster World, has its Genesis installment Monster World IV coming in the US Sega Mini line-up. That'll definitely increase exposure for that particular game.

Also, for those who even know/are interested, Blasphemous is finally far enough in development for an announcement trailer. I won't link it here, it's a tad violent.

Also, let's suffice it to say that Monster World/Wonder Boy has a...complicated history in the West. I suspect that they'll use the MWIV translation from the PS3 port, rather than the Wii one.

You can be both a Banjo and Shantae fan. I have plenty of wanted characters, with one even being tied with Shantae as my most wanted.

Yeah, the lack of surprise is always a shame, but Sakurai always finds some way to shock us.

Yeah i have a ton of wants, not that my signature shows them anym9re as the images are busted.

Erdrick seems like a no given still, we may get both shown at e3. Plus the last 2 for this forat dlc pass are completely unknown. Still, a blind banjo would have been amazing.

Not sure, but i think people are expecting 2 reveals this e3, one for release same day, one for release a few months from now.

I see no reason he'd be a scumbag; I've seen nothing about him being rude and people typically want to know info even if it's info they shouldn't know (at least not at the time).

And real leakers don't lie nor do they deceive; they get their info from a source and they judge it, and if it's wrong then it's wrong. Vergeben just jumps the gun too often. Yeah, leaks have been a major factor in the speculation of characters, especially for Ultimate. Kinda hard to change at this point.
