They never said anything about him being an Assist trophy though. I think they just did some fancy editing to make him fall their not next to joker. Like how they showed her persona with Joker no where near him as well.

So guys, we won't get the next fighter news till E3 most likely. Will we be shown just 1 character, or maybe 2? I have a prediction myself. During the Xbox conference the day before, they show off what looks to be a new Banjo and Kazooie game, but turns out to be a smash trailer for him in smash. The next day they talk about how Banjo will release that day, and then at the end show off who the next one will be (hoping shantae) for a Augest or september release.

I know, I meant wait and see in the regard of waiting to see more of Perona 5R. Atlus might have wanted to show off more of her before any Smash reveal could be done, alt or otherwise.

While its too early due to everyone having to blow off steam from the excitement, its good to have a small guess with E3 coming in 2 months.

Well, besides Shantae championing indies, the most likely "mainstream" pick to me is Monster Hunter. It could coincide with the fall release of the Iceborne DLC for World.

Yes.

It'd definitely have to be a popular character in terms of... something. I don't think the Smash staff necessarily thinks their picks are "hype"-worthy for E3. Reminder that some base reveals they did in E3 for 4 was for and the Mii fighters.

It's simply a matter of who's ready to be shown next, programming-wise.

It's true that Nintendo has a tendency to announce things only when they are as close to completion as possible, and have no real special preference for E3 other than revealing slightly more games than usual (or hyping one very big game to the max).

But when it comes to DLC fighters, there has to be a gameplan of which fighters to work on in which order, which most likely comes down to how negotiations with potential third parties go (such as if they have any marketing plans of their own in the short term), then filling the gaps with their own first parties if any.

The update is coming around 8:00 PM EST. Stage Builder is honestly still pretty similar to Smash 4's version all things considered, it's the ability to share stages worldwide that pushes it to greatness. And then we get Super Mario Maker 2...

Actually, the obvious thing is the servers are currently being overwhelmed by MANY MANY switches getting the update.

1. If you have a physical copy of the game. Take out the cartridge
2. Delete software (you will not loose your datas)
3. Put the cartridge in the switch and try to download the update.

Except when you do that, you lose Piranha Plant (if you have it) and you don't get Joker (if you purchased the Fighter's Pass or him alone)
