What? At least that way you could guarantee when Rotty comes out rather than praying for her to pop out of one of those trophy cases. Plus this way, Rottytops can't be damaged or KO'ed like Assist Trophies can be.

Maybe it's just me but she looks weird being proportioned like that. I mean the mod is phenomenal, but if she gets in I'd prefer she sorta look like her HGH look but in 3D because I feel like that's the best compromise between her sprite look and artwork look.
Toon Link is a pretty close comparison.

I think maybe the HGH concept art could be great inspiration for it:
Toon Link to me is just straight cartoon. ALBW or OOX (since they're the same design) Link would be the type of art I was thinking about, and despite having ALBW Zelda they "grew" her proportions up to make a more "realistic" version, which while looking alright, is a bit upsetting and further enforces the divide in Smash Bros character design.
That would work really well, but perhaps they could take elements from all the various Shantae versions to make the Ultimate Shantae similar to how King K. Rool is sorta a mesh of two different iterations.I'd love for shantae to be the more cartoony side, too

Other than she looks like she doesn't eat regularly (ribs, collar bone and shoulders area), this is a pretty awesome mod of Shantae.So I just found someone working on a skin mod (on zelda) of Shantae, and it's nice to see a 3d model of her different costumes:

I would love that to be real, but it has Sans as a Assist Trophy in it so that pretty much kills the leak if you ask me.
Why? From my VERY limited understanding of Undertale, he wouldn't really work as a character without nerfing him.
Oh, he'll work; his attacks would be stronger than Brawl Meta Knight, but he'll work: he has 1 defense.
It's just I don't see him as a Assist Trophy either because he's basically just a meme character to most people.
....how so? We have Shovel Knight as an Assist, allegedly Shantae as a playable character, why is another popular character from one of the most popular indie titles so unimaginable?
It's like I said in my post above, I just see most people seeing Sans as a meme character.

Aside the meme claim, the Switch port of Undertale can seem a tad too recent, yet we still got BOTW and Odyssey stuff, so an AT of Sans is definitely doable.
Like I've said before, you just use Gamefaqs for looking at game strategies. Not sure why they need forums and polls, but whatever.

don't worry. his main counter argument was that "Wayforward isn't on an NDA and only aren't vocal anymore because there's no ballot and therefore no reason for them to be vocal" but he doesn't take into account that literally everyone involved with the Shantae I.P. is completely radio silent and not even answering questions pertaining to smash. had she have not been in the game, they could easily save themselves and the entire staff a lot of twitter mentions and questions by simply saying "she's not in the game, guys", similar to what (i hear) Pyra's voice actress did. as far as im aware, there's no counter-argument for them directly and deliberately ignoring any and all discussion related to smash, especially when simply telling people "no" would quell a lot of unnecessary hype/inevitable dissapointment if she ended up not being in the game.
Seriously, the guy in charge of Devil May Cry just straight up said "no" and that was that. If Shantae wasn't in the game they would respond with "I'm sorry, but she isn't in the game" or even go into their corporate "we have nothing to announce" like they have been doing when asked about a new game.

Sorry if I sound unnecessarily mean here, but it sounds like Artsy is being a giga d-bag right now about all this and it's stupid that he wants to be all like "hur dur WayFoward's not under an nda because there's no ballot" when he didn't do the research.
I mean, the lack of a Smash ballot has no connection to a possible NDA...in fact, I would argue you cant have one and the other at the same time...
Honestly, I think all the hints and clues are all too accurate to be not real. Maybe Wayforward did sign a NDA but asked Nintendo if they could do the hint in Jammie mode since that's their way of hints/writing.
