So after playing around with a bunch of characters today and yesterday, I think I'm ready to say that I'm going Marth until next tournament. I used to pay lip service to having Marth as a secondary, but I never used him, and today I realized he's really... comfortable, I guess. Something I haven't seen since I took up Sonic a long time ago.
I just have to get out of the habit of trying to fsmash everything (especially when landing), learn the GR tricksies on MK and friends, and then I'm clear, in the short term. (And now I can't just auto-ban Brinstar like I did when playing only Sonic... <.<)
As I said earlier, I'm not quitting Sonic, and IDK if I'll ever quit /Sonic/ but I need to get better as a player before I can get better as a Sonic. With Marth... I can't put it into words... Every time I lag from a tipper... IDK. It feels right, I guess.
So yeah. Looks like I have a new board to watch.
I shall return.

I had a blast playing you too. Definitely a solid IC's player. I still think that against Sonic or anyone with platforms, UAir pressure is really good and should be better implimented into your game. Guaranteed I'd be forced to jump around platforms way more often and be scared to get in close on you.
But playing you helped me better understand the match-up in general. I was gonna save this for the Genesis 2 Results thread when it came up, but shoutouts to you now!

FAVORITE matchup, is vs bowser. as long as it doesnt involve getting grabbed or being laggy inside fortress range, you can literally do anything you want and win the match.
