why is the image zoom thing back? (and could there be an option in user CP to turn it back off)

edit: different question, does SWF run any other javascript things that matter?

Trying to do the nominations. When I hit submit, it says "errors are marked in red" but there are no errors on the page. I filled in all the empty spaces with nonsensical stuff (banned members or otherwise unlikely to matter votes) and still the form wouldnt work for me. I reclicked the link at the top and re-entered my votes (without the nonsense) and still have the same problem.

Using mozilla firefox (most recent version afaik)

Make sure you've typed in all the members UNs correctly.

Banned members probably wouldn't work.

yeah its all valid. I had thought it was a bug due to me misspelling one before, so i reloaded the page new and entered them all correct the first time and didn't put any filler in. I had a misspelled one before and it pops up in red saying "could not find" blah blah blah. I have no messages like that, simply has an error at the top saying there are errors, but does not display any errors in my entries.

Would it be possible to add a link to the top of the page after all the posts on a page? Its annoying to scroll back to the top of the page on a mobile device, especially in long discussion threads.

If you are using the mobile skin, down in the row where it says "contact us" and whatnot, it says "top". that takes right to the top of the page.

Ability to delete own posts owuld be appreciated. I know it's not a huge glaring issue but I also know as a mod on another vBulletin based forum that it is possible. The delted posts can still be read by mods and admins and one can only delete their OWN posts an dI think this would be a good idea for accidental DPs, random useless posts your disappointed in, etc.

I thought normal users could still delete their own posts....

If anything, you can edit them [soft-delete] - that way only the mods of that area can see what your original post was.

As far as I can remember, it's not enabled because although admins and mods can see the deleted posts, people still post inappropriate stuff and then delete it thinking they'll get away with it.

Indicating you've accidentally double posted via edit is acceptable (some mods even move the post out of the thread), as is erasing your initial message via editing. It's the same thing basically, only difference being that the post is still there but with a "sorry" message usually.

My friend attempted to register today, but it wouldn't allow him to do so.

He used existing emails, and when that didn't work, I went and made an entirely new email address with him, but the same result occurred.

"You are not allowed to make multiple accounts."

Any idea what is wrong? I'll keep trying, but I've heard others complain of the same thing. Wondering if it's a forum issue? I figured this was a more appropriate location than Forum Support. Any suggestions?

Fixed, since apparently the usernames keep returning false positives. Try again

I was thinknig about adding a stickied player fund thread in melee(and brawl) disc. Basically, if someone is looking to go to a tournament they could PM a mod with a message about how much they need and how they can receive money, mod can edit the thread to add it in and voila, less threads and more ease of access.

There may be problems with this, it's just and idea to bounce around.

Has this site been removing features or is it just me?

I know quick reply used to do a popup if the textbox was empty, but now it changes the page. I do frequent quick edits and if i used the alt-s hotkey (submits text in every other form on the site) it changes page and I lose my content. A popup had been a compromise, it didn't submit my edit but I didn't lose my content so it was a drastic improvement. I have recently lost multiple responses I've worked hard on due to this old issue.

Another one is the unsubscribe button in the usercp. Once upon a time when you clicked the link, it took you to a confirm page or there was a popup asking you to confirm. I just accidentally unsubscribed to a thread via a misclick and I don't even know what thread it was to resubscribe to. I only use my usercp and subscribed threads on this site; i very rarely browse normally.

We've discussed it in the past, but asside from the fact that people would still dodge the censor anyway, we don't want to encourage people to use those words. There's simply no need. MLG has also been against it as well, and since they own the site, it's not happening.

How about using the different colored mushrooms to represent the different lengths of premium subscriptions?

I.E. you buy 3 month, you get green, you buy 6, you get red, and you buy 12, you or something like that

People with longer Premium status don't enjoy special privileges exclusive to them, so there's not really much reason to do that. Also, the color wouldn't change even when your time is almost expired, so it wouldn't be an accurate representation of the length left, either.

It means that someone with Premium membership pranked you. =)

It will go away after a month.

It just gives me the option to join 3 different groups (Debaters, Decisive Gamers, and Temp Debater). When I click "Social Groups", it says "You are not a member of any groups."

I also tried editing it in Profile Privacy (which I'm assuming is what you meant), but it didn't help.

You don't see the box in group memberships that says

"You may choose to be identified as a member of the following groups" ?

You just need to click any of the groups available to you (none of them should be selected atm because you are pranked)

It says "The following groups are available for you to join" and then lists the 3 groups I mentioned above. They all say you need someone's permission to join.

Hmm, that's how I reset it. Ask an admin or something. I know how you feel, the pink gets annoying after a bit lol.

You are always part of the registered group, so you should always have that box no matter what. Your pranked status is another group you belong to. Please take a screen shot of your page
