Is Judgment really that bad gameplay wise? I just keep hearing meh things about it. I'll probably get anyway as the story so far has been pretty good and getting to know more about what happened during E-

I have the first three and found them to be amazing. So it's sad to keep hear poor things about Judgment.

If you want a game for the story only, just go on youtube to see gameplay videos, or too lazy to sit through all the gameplay then just cutscenes is enough to be completely honest.
From what I remember and what I saw, they turned GoW in CoD basically, classes and all for horde and survival or whatever their new game mode is that's trying to be nazi zombies but with GoW physics and classes now.

They even cram their new Horde mode into the campaign, you're almost always having to defend as if it's Horde mode for a certain amount of waves until finally fighting the boss of the waves which is usually a serapede kantus or berserker, then you'll be able to progress through the story. Hope you save your money well during the waves to repair your foretress, cause you restart at the beginning of the waves afaik.

Why does it seem like every shooter in existence gets CoDed at one point or another. Same thing ended up happening to Halo as well. I like shooters that aren't CoD, and it's annoying as hell when I find ones I like only to see them get CoDed.

Bah. Good thing I bought that AC Ezio trilogy thing to keep me occupied for now.

Because the games are, to put it simply, bad. I've played CoD before, it's boring as hell.

Eh, I mis-read your post. I thought you meant from a gamer's point on jumping on the bandwagon, not from a developer's point of view.

I actually just remembered about xyro's thing when he posted it this morning and noticed the date.

Nike's thing is Friday, and Xyro's thing is Saturday... dunno if the drivers for SA (Beros and john) wanna drive to Houston the next day and dunno if you're going to Nike's thing.
Most of us are going to Nike's thing and prolly parting ways after we're done that day or around 1-4 AM.

tbh if people wanted the story, they have the comics and books they've made which usually fills in the holes that happens between the months/years from like Gears 1 to 2 to 3, or just other stuff in general like Marcus meeting tai for the first time, what Dom's wife actually died of even if he didn't shoot her, how Dom's brother died by killing himself with a frag.

Mention story cause Halo still kinda sorta looks at the story, no idea how they gutted Halo 4's story tho since I haven't looked at a single video about it. Not even a simple gameplay video.

All that stuff, for gameplay nobody really cared about single player much outside of achievements or just to know the story. The multiplayer, as the random review I posted, is what people care about. It's kinda good in judgement as he said but you also need to know that little ol 20-60 bucks for XBL lol. Oh, and the servers for judgement are apparently bad just like the GoW3 servers were compared to GoW2 somehow so massive amounts of lag.

I've given up on the triple A industry as both a consumer and a dev. The triple A industries business model only supports investing resources into a game if it can become a franchise, and the company goes into immediate layoff/downsizing mode after projects even if a game is successful to keep costs down during pre dev. The good news is, for the small devs, this is a golden age of easy to access engines, online content pipelines and skype and low licensing prices, so there is a ton of amazing small budge games out there/coming out.
