No, it's general common sense, but maybe not around Samus or Nintendo fanboys.

OK, so I hope people here now agrees that Nintendo is using sex appeal to present ZS Samus, so we can end that discussion (and I still think she's presented as a sex object, but that discussion is leading nowhere so let's end that). Do you think ZS Samus will grow strong enough as a standalone character and maybe have a spin-off game or two? Maybe there will even be a third person adventure in the main series? (who said 3-D Metroid games must be like Prime?) If Zelda and Mario did great in third person, so can Metroid.
