Sakurai realized he has turned Samus into a sex object?

Doesn't bother me.
Plus this by far NOT sakurai's character design. Why are you pointing the blame at him?
He wanted more variaty for the Metriod Series and dug deep.
ZSS's design was made by the creators.

zamus isnt to much of a bad move you have to be really lonely to 'jack' off to her
she is my fav gaming character(cause you cant play as ridley in any game..yet)anyway from what we have seen her boobs dont jiggle when she runs.

.....So? Every character has some sort of theme. She's not the only character in tights anyways. How else could ZSS possibly be displayed without having a sex appeal?

I'm happy with what they did with zero-suit samus.
I see it as a good move to make her attractive in a number of ways as well.
1) It helps women that play the game to have a more attractive character to play with and possibly relate to.
2) Guys aren't going to complain as they have something easy on the eyes, so that brings in more customers as well.
3) When I think (and most other people as well) of a legendary person, I think of someone very fit, proportional to what I found attractive when I grew up, and just overall attractive. I know this might sound wrong, but watching or playing as someone attractive allows me to accept that character much easier. Do you want to see your badass character be ugly?
4) I actually imagined armor something like zero-suit samus has on underneath the suit. She isn't going to be naked, she is going to have effecient maneuverable clothes.
However I do see where you are coming from. Samus isn't very mysterious anymore, however she has more depth as a character. I guess the tradeoff really depends on the person, but I personally like what
Sakurai did (as long as she doesn't get whored out in later games).

People yal complain about everything, first is that the characters are too kiddie, next is they are too mature....OMG Samus just happens to be a hot chick who kicks ***. I love metroid also and i dont mind making her more feminine.

I'd rather have samus look like that...at least the proportions are somewhat believable...Zero Samus looks more grotesque...I'm happy with what they did with zero-suit samus.

People who are nervous when talking about the attractive properties of a person are prudes. People who openly talk about the attractive properties are pervs. This applies to both guys and gals. Since the topic of this thread is the question of whether Sakurai was aware that he made Samus sexy, I can guess with some certainty he was. There've been numerous times where he's mentioned her new appearance in a less-than-oblivious way.
And in response to the numerous sidebar conversations:
People are not 'messed up' because they look at pictures of the opposite sex and find themselves 'turned on' by them. If the artist of the image wanted that result, then by god they're going to get it. It's not like whoever drew/designed that picture is a souless sketching machine. Then again, if you find a picture with lip-prints on it, there might be a problem. Aside from that, the only way you won't find yourself 'turned on' by a picture that was obviously meant to cause that 'effect' is if you have a cold lump of granite for a heart. Seriously.
(Guess that makes me something of a 'prude' then =P)

I understand your point but you shouldn't care about what other people think of Samus. I'm a Star Fox fan and I'm always hearing stuff like "Animals in spaceships, thats sos gay! This game sucks..." Its annoying but I deal with it cause I know how awesome Star Fox is XD. Thats not really the same concept but you know what I'm saying right? Samus fans know the true Samus and shouldn't care of the opinions of others

I mean, look at the channel G4! It's almost sickening how they associate hot girls and gaming. There are always those perverts who get sucked in, but it is horrid to me. They only mix the two because gamers are usually in a world in which everything can be theres with enough hard work, and seeing a hot girl makes them drool.

I'm far from being a prude, but while Zamus is not really the best example, sexism in the media really is an issue and the fact that so many people here use the argument "would you rather play as an ugly ho" and that Zamus is apparently so hard to imagine flat-chested is really defining of that.
I'd actually prefer her more or less flat-chested. It would be much more plausible for such an athlete, and if she has such little room for clothes, why would she have that much room for the "wonder twins"?

It's a great move. Why? It does not take away from her character, it builds upon it. So what if a little perv gets his jollies from his pic? I don't think it's that big of a deal, seeing as how Peach and Zelda have bene subjugated to that treatment long before.

Well apparently it doesn't take away from the badassness. It's technically implausible, though, because big breasts can get rather heavy, they aren't very aerodynamic and well-trained girls tend to have smaller breasts because, I dunno, the fat is replaced by muscles or something. Actually, disregard that last point, I have no idea whether that's true or not.
The point is, in reality, Zamus would be more flat-chested than that in order to be such an efficient, fast fighter, and the designers knew that, yet opted for the larger variety for obvious reasons.
Again, note that I am relatively indifferent on this subject in particular, because Zamus is far from Lara Croft. I just find it rather disheartening that sex-appeal seems to be almost a requirement.
And I agree with Psycho. Zelda has a pretty face.

Ya, me and my friends all agree that Zelda is hottest VG girl ever. The SSBB model of Samus is particularly GNAR imo they could have made her look at least a little prettier.

If Samus were meant to be sold on sex, those would've been expanded much more or Samus's sex would've been advertised much more. In short, I'm saying that Samus is "above" sex appeal.
3. It's pretty clear that Nintendo (not Sakurai/Brawl specifically) is changing this. Compare the Japanese commercials for MZM and Metroid 2.
